I don’t subscribe usually to relationships causing radical changes in an athlete’s performance but Josh has the look of a player that won’t be denied and has supreme confidence. Not to say his previous years weren’t up there with the best QBs in the league but whether it’s Diggs getting out of his headspace,Brady being totally in sync with Josh’s strengths or Hailee’s influence, this is the best version of this all time great.

He had so many great throws it’s so hard to pick one.
-
Whatever the reason, he scares the crap out of me on meaningful kicks. I hope he doesn’t ruin our season. Maybe his history of inconsistency is the reason Sean goes on 4th down and Josh is more dependable than some of his kicks.

For a KC troll masquerading as the voice of objectivity, you’re sounding a lot like Nick Wright, Mr Chief. Lamar was bad last year in the AFC championship. He’s young and he has a big time RB in Henry and receivers that are better this year. Why would you compare Philly to the team they beat 2 years ago. They are the best defense in football and have the best RB. The Chiefs let Carolina, Vegas, Denver, Buffalo and LA come right down the field to score when it mattered. Philly controls the ball in every game and will keep the ball away from Mahomes. This year the magic ends.

Why hasn't the Samuel signing worked?
Eastport bills replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
That sounds exactly right, but he provides good depth and my prediction is that he will make some big plays before all is said and done. You remember the game after Coleman and Kincaid went down he was a productive target in a good win. -
OK, impartial judge? He’ll be fine until he’s not. Nothing lasts forever and the end of this run is coming. If you think his stats, which are the worst of his career, are not related to his Tackles inability to protect him without holding penalties, you’re just a delusional Mahomes groupie. How many games with the bottom feeders can you win on the last play of the game without coming away saying this is a different team. He’s the best QB in football, but with the limited cap space, they’re not surrounding him with a quality O-line or a vertical threat. Let’s see how he plays the next 2 or three games. Brady eventually got beat and those teams were better than KC. The Chiefs are not better than Buffalo, Baltimore, Philly or Green Bay. You think that Mahomes will continue to pull these games out of his rear end while getting pounded at a rate that’s not sustainable, be my guest.

Bills fans should root for him to play because the Houston pass rush is the best in the AFC in sacks. With the way Mahomes has been brutalized this season, and the anemic offensive numbers they have, this would be huge If Mahomes lost while playing on the gimpy ankle. Then he would be forced to play four days later against TJ Watt and Co.

Can we give JOE Brady his kudos?
Eastport bills replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you examine his limited usage, he’s been impactful and provided a positive energy that now has put him in the forefront of Brady’s 3rd down play calling. I loved this guy on the Jets and Beane scooped him up and he will be prominent in our drive for the SB. -

You mean your 2 stringers and elevated practice squad players. Bottom line without sending extra rushers and getting pressure on Josh, they would get carved up. They had to play man but Brady got our backs on backup lbs. -

Joe Brady is aggressive and innovative. The motion and Josh’s threat to run make it so tough with our O-line protection being effective. It’s not luck that Josh hasn’t been sacked in a month. Brady’s play calling is keeping the lbs honest and that’s opening up Johnson and Cook for easy one on one opportunities. Ty Johnson was scary good yesterday. He catches everything and is nice change of pace runner. Having him in the backfield for a good portion of that game was Brady genius. -
You might be on to something because he is money from the left hash. His kicks fade right and from the right hash it seems like he’s afraid of starting it out left of center in fear of it not coming back. Don’t you think his special teams coach should be able to make adjustments.

Great review of a guy that has winning player intangibles as well as the clutch gene.
-
The zone is because we couldn’t play man with the personnel available or against the receivers on LA. The Rams and Lions who play good defense couldn’t stop us on any possession. I have to believe the safeties and Douglas will get healthy and be somewhat better. The question is who is stopping us? Would you prefer to be KC, who have problems scoring and win games every week on the last play of the game.

Last two games prove Allen deserved a dome
Eastport bills replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is obviously a decision that was made thinking the home field advantage is maximized by terrible weather. Unfortunately with this historically talented QB, it just inconveniences fans and will limit our advantage. -
Of course it can’t be done without Josh, but the O-line, the 3 RBs, the TEs made a lot of plays. Brady called a great game and our defense were decimated in the secondary. Oliver was huge and we made just enough stops. Our defense will get better but good luck stopping this offense.
-
That would be because he had a great season last year and he’s 27 years old. The Bills defense has been solid up until last week when they gave up big points and yardage. Every coach thinks a talented player can be improved under their system or with their coaching staff. I think Babich and Sean are just as responsible for Oliver’s performance. Epenesa, Miller and Jones stats are anemic as well. A good coaching staff should be building momentum with underachieving players leading up to the postseason. Maybe Oliver can find better form going forward.

Would you sign up right now for a Buffalo at Kansas City AFCCG?
Eastport bills replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sign up? That’s a best case scenario. It would mean that we won 2 playoff games( one of which is Baltimore or Pitt) and after the coaching and defensive mind numbing embarrassment in LA, we weren’t getting the #1 seed and a bye anyway. -
Ed Oliver has been a favorite of mine to get his 2nd contract for generational money prior to last season. Now after a pro bowl season where he had his most productive performance, he has regressed and has been a huge disappointment this season. One sack and a small amount of tackles won’t get it done. Ed has to show up if we want to get to the promised land. I think if he doesn’t show up this season the Bills have to take the trade route with him because he’s been healthy and it’s his commitment and desire that are in question.

The root source of D problems is the D Line
Eastport bills replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
The root source of our defensive performance was our coaching. Ed Oliver and Dequan Jones, Milano got manhandled in the run game and they never got near Stafford sending four and never added more rushers. Our vaunted zone defense was out of position and very handsy. These players were ready to play and Sean should be embarrassed. -
Hiring a Clock management specialist
Eastport bills replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
You can’t expect a clock management specialist to override a HC if he is oblivious and wanting to be master of his own fate. How about Sean showing some defensive coaching skil( supposedly his strength) and put a game plan together for Detroit. His guys looked confused, physically dominated and ill prepared for a Rams team that was the worst 3rd down team in football. How many wide open Puka Nokua completions do we give up without adjusting coverage to take him away. Sean was pitiful defensively and his special teams were laughable. 9 players on the field for the biggest special teams play of the game a punt block for a TD. This game Sunday, against the Lions, should be a valuable indication of his efficacy going forward. -
McD will be the scapegoat to hide the real issue this week
Eastport bills replied to Cray51's topic in The Stadium Wall
I posted Sean was not solely responsible for the loss, but as much as you want to gloss of his obliviousness just play out the other choice. With three timeouts if Josh clocks it or throws quickly into the end zone we can force a punt with 50 seconds left. I’m not saying we could’ve stopped them from getting a 1st down but they wouldn’t have thrown the ball until 3rd down and there was a chance to stop a 3rd and medium play. The other way you saw what happened. Every coach worth a damn doesn’t call that timeout.
