I think the Bills should consider playing the no huddle style, with Josh making reads at the line. The beauty of that offense is that they can’t substitute and now with Kincaid and Cook stepping up we have great options. Plus plenty of openings for QB runs. I guess that’s bad coaching, and Sean is the DC. No excuses.

The Bills didn’t tackle well, I guess that’s coaching. Those little TEscreens went for big gains all day. Letting them come down for a TD after taking a lead, was not indicative of a big time team. Josh and the offense showed incredible heart but Sean has to be bitterly disappointed with that defense.

NFL Trade Deadline Oct 31 - Rumored List of Players Available

so we’re about 10 days away from the deadline and I’m skeptical about Beane doing anything to improve our team. All the great excuses, no cap space, we love our depth, can’t mess with draft capital. They should just say, it is what it is we got our stadium, we’ll make the playoffs, what do you expect. Watch what the Chiefs and Jaguars do? -
The biggest blunder of the game IMO

I questioned that decision but Sean thinks Bass is automatic, maybe not anymore. The Giants couldn’t really move the ball no less go the length of the field. The move set the stage for the Bills to lose. Anyone who watched the game knew our corners were giving up receptions and Barkley was hurting us on the ground. Instead of having to negotiate 85-90 yards, they had 57 with one timeout and 1 minute and a half. Lucky to get the win. -

When they’re out of the discussion by week 8, the prevailing sentiment is we can be terrible with him or without him. They gave up 70 with him and they need a young can’t miss QB. Other teams know they’re in rear down mode. A 1st and a 3rd or a 2nd in 2025 will definitely get it done. -

If the tanking Broncos make him available, all they will get is a 1st and a late rd pick. They will need draft capital to get one of the QBs at the top of the draft. How long do you want to hear announcers say the Bills opponents are targeting Elam and then watch him get victimized like the last 2 weeks.? Who do you think thie Bills will get with their pick 25 to 30? With Tre done for the foreseeable future, they’re drafting a corner in the 1st or 2nd rd. Surtain is as good as anybody in the NFL. -
NFL Trade Deadline Oct 31 - Rumored List of Players Available

The problem with the offense is we’re not using our players. Just like the end of last season, we abandoned the run and became predictable with Josh either forcing throws to Diggs, QB runs or going for the home run. Now, Dorsey has been taking some incoming for play calling the last 2 games. However, the 3 previous games(Miami,Washington,Las Vegas) we ran the ball and got our other playmakers involved. I think our offense comes back against NE. -

If we could get Surtain, we would elevate our prospects for getting to the SB substantially. Now, with them having a fire sail, Beane might be able to get him for less than a 1st, but even if we gave them a 1st, I would do it. -
Okay, the offense is struggling the last 2 games because Dorsey is reverting back to play calling that’s inconsistent incorporating the run game and being predictable focusing on Diggs to the exclusion of other playmakers. The reason why replacing White is important because our main remaining competition have great receivers ( Cinn, Miami Philly, Dallas and LA)and our 2 healthy corners Benford and Elam are inexperienced and inconsistent in coverage. The hope is that the offense which has been excellent in the 3 most recent wins will start getting it’s mojo soon, but the defense must be consistently effective for the Bills to go far.

That sentiment should be reverberating around their complex. Everyone’s overwhelming pick after we destroyed the unbeatable Dolphins was us. We lose our best corner and the answer if we still want it is make a deal Beane. Go for it for once.

Unleash Josh Allen...stop trying to change him
Eastport bills replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Making plays outside the pocket is what Josh does. He doesn’t “stand” in the pocket. You fail to realize, this O-line is what we will be going to war with. The pressure is neutralized by protection packages, like two TEs or keeping a back in on the side of an O-lineman is getting abused. My problem was with excessive hits he absorbed running QB draws and RPOs with him taking on LBs. -

Wink Martindale mixed up the pressure packages and Lawrence is really good., but Josh bails when he senses pressure because he makes big plays on the run to his right. The 1st half they abandoned the run and Wink pressured him into some erratic throws. If you disagree about the quality of the O-line just say so.Did you think they sucked against the Dolphins or Vegas or Washington? -

Our O -line has not been bad this year. Josh just likes to hold the ball and make throws as he’s flushed. Our new guards are above average and the tackles are average. About league average quality. -

As it stands, Josh almost sustained serious shoulder injuries from pocket pressure, why would we encourage QB running. What we need is the OC to make the rushers a real consistent part of the offense, sprinkling in some short crossers with Knox and Kincaid, with Sherfield and Harty getting 5 targets combined. That’s a multidimensional offense with an occasional sliding Josh for short yardage 1st downs. -
Ken made adjustments at halftime and Cook opened routes for Diggs and Knox. The problem with this offense is we have Josh getting flushed too often and Diggs is the guy that gets open so our other receivers are not involved. When we’re running the ball successfully, Josh can sit back and find secondary targets. It’s criminal that Sherfield and Kincaid are blanked every game. Harty can be productive also. We’re getting predictable again and Ken looks lost at times.

He can’t turn the corner. The tackle just guides him beyond the QB and he can’t get close. Work in progress.

I agree that he was playing out of his mind when he got hurt, but with Settle, Phillips and Ford, they might be able to get by. The loss of Milano and Tre is more problematic, especially if Jackson and Benford are 100%
