  1. Either Sean doesn’t realize or he is reluctant to accept the team’s struggles are all his responsibility. He’s been taking the credit for the team’s ascent as the best team not to win a championship, now he must stop scapegoating Josh and the OC and the players that blew the Denver game. It’s the classic example of a coach who’s voice is getting old and not registering with the players. His assistant coaches have been epic failures and his draft choices have not produced impact players. His roster consistently is overpaid leaving cap space constraints and he’s losing to inferior teams. His game day decision making shows little confidence in the offense and it exposes an injury riddled defense.. Any criticism of Josh should be left unsaid knowing he’s got a crisis of confidence and doesn’t benefit from negativity in national media. Sean’s tenure has run its course and we won’t win with him going forward. If Pegula doesn’t understand this we’re in trouble.
  2. I love being a Bills fan and that means for life and my kids and grandkids are more rabid than I am. After watching the Texans whip the Bengals, it reminded me of Josh’s second season and the joy and optimism these young guys play with. If the Bills are not involved in the postseason, these Texans will be easy to root for.
  3. The reason to get a new voice in there after 6 seasons is that the team is not moving in the right trajectory. Especially Josh, his evolution depends on an innovative, offensive minded HC. Until there is an exhaustive search, no one can say who’s the right person. Who knows which coaches will be available from the collegiate or professional ranks. I’ll tell you the guys I would love. Dan Lanning( Oregon) Ben Johnson (Lions) Brian Johnson (Eagles) Bottom line, a HC has. 5 year window before his voice gets stale.
  4. The hot seat comes directly from the fan base. If the fans lose confidence in the HC his days are numbered. If this team misses the playoffs after the epic fails in previous playoff runs, after 5 years we need new leadership. The fans are the key and along with media with a new stadium coming( which is a windfall for ownership) we must send a clear message that losing and our HOF QB moving backwards won’t be tolerated. Message boards and stadium crowds must show disapproval every opportunity. Sports writers and Sports talk radio must echo the sentiment until changes are made.
  5. There aren’t any players that can do that but how many Chase, AJ Brown, Lamb, Jefferson, Hill or McCaffreys are there. I don’t know that you need one of those to win rather a multitude productive players.
  6. Other than Oliver, can you name a player who stands out as having a difference making year. Jones and Milano were productive for 1/3 of the season and Diggs is an All Pro, but this roster is full of old guys that aren’t great. Cook and Kincaid will be stars but we haven’t run it enough and until Knox went down, Kincaid wasn’t involved. Beane never replaced Hines as a return guy and the offense is Josh making plays as he gets flushed. Now Douglas is good add but our safeties are injury prone and older. We need a really good off season to build talent but the Miller signing hurts, and Josh’s #balloons next year.
  7. Yea, but it’s unrealistic to do it after a deep run in the playoffs. There was always others to share blame, but it’s become painfully obvious under Sean, we’ve gone as far as we could go.
  8. Does anyone believe Sean deserves a pass for 12 men? That boneheaded, imbecilic lack of attention to detail, cost our fan base any chance at the playoffs. Sean is a good DC and leader of men, but after his time here I can honestly say, he’s not a championship HC.
  9. Who is this punter who kicks short line drives. He can’t kick in cold windy climates and our HC gets burned every week by him. Our punt coverage team doesn’t lock up .and takes bad angles. That’s why our defense deserves credit, they made up for some sloppy football last night.
  10. Josh played better with Dabol, while Frazier wasn’t responsible for better defense, players staying healthy and complimentary offense was.
  11. Sean is a dead man walking if we miss the playoffs. Any OC replacement doesn’t excuse the team not being buttoned up and the responsibility for Josh taking a step back. Attention to detail is a given for winning franchises. We, sadly are lacking necessities and if the Pegulas don’t see this, they don’t care about getting us a championship.
  12. Who the hell is Tre Diggs to criticize our franchise. Coming from perennial soul sucking Dallas, who always craps their pants in a big spot. Stephan has resurrected his career with Josh and is compensated with the top receivers in the NFL. Tre should concentrate on rehabbing and being as good as he was instead trying to be a half ass social media influencer. Tre, do you think your bro should jump ship at the first sign of turbulence? Is that displaying character or being a team guy? I know these qualities don’t matter much to young, severely injured social media enthusiasts, but that’s just me.
  13. I thought the defense was stout last night. If we’re being fair, the offense put them in terrible field position and went 3 and out most drives. So not only did they allow very few drives and forced FGs on possessions starting in plus territory, they had sacks and forced an important turnover, giving the offense a short field. You want to blame Johnson for the PI, fine but it shouldn’t have come down to that. The defense was not the problem.
  14. I’ve been reluctant to condemn Josh’s play, always looking for organizational shortcomings, but he looked lost and desperate last night. His decision making and accuracy has become an issue and his confidence looks for the first time, to be in crisis. Whether it’s his life outside of football distracting him or conflicts with coaches, he’s not the same mega talented Josh. He’s hurting the team and our HC has to take responsibility. A great QB should thrive in a system and clearly he’s broken.
  15. His defense was great. The effort was incredible and it all gets wiped out by a penalty that’s just an attention to detail failure. The HC is always responsible. The fact that Josh was not mentally ready to play a must win game is also a big problem. The idea that Cook couldn’t be stopped and he was benched for most of the 1st half, is a problem. Sean will get another job either as HC or a DC, but he can’t stay here.
  16. Don’t get to excited, Sean’s got to crap the bed one more year after this and he’ll be either with the Chargers or maybe Chicago by then. Chicago has 2 of the first five picks in the draft and big cap space.
  17. You know he’d build a winner and be a SB regular within 2 years. Anytime he’s had a good QB he wins big( Stanford, SF, Michigan)
  18. Everyone wants Ben Johnson. I think he would value walking into a Josh led offense. Another great job would be the Chargers with Herbert and better weather. The Pegulas seem OK with Sean and Beane is joined at the hip with him. The next best thing is grabbing a college coach with professional experience.
  19. In full agreement about the coaching, especially the OC, but you are underrating the offensive roster. They’re in a lull but with Cook, Kincaid, Davis, Shakir and an above average OL, they’re still a top 4 offense in the AFC. I don’t understand, the Chiefs have been crap on offense statistically and in the eye test, but they’re defense is winning games and no one questions their offensive roster. My prediction, Bills get rolling Monday night and things calm down.
  20. Harty is not a vertical threat anymore and that’s what he was brought in for. He’s not a return man and that’s what they’re asking him to do. We don’t have a Hines type replacement in house. Sherfield is a good slot receiver but in Dorsey’s offense, he’s invisible. This team is spinning their wheels but with Josh, they always have a puncher’s chance.
  21. Wake me up when Miller makes a play to help us win. The guy gets herded away from the passer and can’t make the turn. He’s eating 20 million of cap space and he’s pushing 35. With Tre, Milano, Jones and Miller not contributing, who the hell scares anyone on our defense. Our safeties are above average but have no turnovers. Our corners are below average and committ too many penalties and our LBs are just OK. We can’t get pressure with our down lineman so we have to bring 2 extra rushers. The Bengals destroyed those blitz packages. It’s the defense.
  22. Rousseau is light in the pants. He can’t pressure the QB and although he blocks an occasional pass, his slight frame makes him a liability in the run game. Lawson and AJ have been more impactful.
  23. If you’re being objective, Sean’s decision to challenge had such a small chance of being successful with the ball obviously hitting the ground and being ruled incomplete on the field, it was a gift to the Bengals. He’s not a coach that aggressively tries to win a game. He’s coaching as if he’s got a top 5 defense. In 4 straight games, his defense has allowed a team to come right down the field and score at the end of the game or in the Giants case, get left at the 1 yd line when Johnson’s PI wasn’t called. If Sean can’t stop a team on defense, he’s got to go.
  24. It’s the same reason he challenged the 9 yd pass play in the 4th qtr, and frittered away our crucial TO. It’s because he’s a poor game day decision maker and he’s super conservative and doesn’t understand offensive rhythm and how it’s created. I want to believe we can win games in spite of his shortcomings but if his defenses are unable to make stops, he’s holding us back.
