Morse was a great teammate and a warrior who played hurt and did a fine job. Hopefully he stays healthy and finishes his career with success. Thanks for the last 4 years.

Do The Bills Have Enough "Elite" Talent?
Eastport bills replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills are a team that have too many holes caused by going for it and missing, like the Rams 3 seasons ago. They failed miserably with the Miller signing and their suspect cap management forced Beane to offload some productive but older players. They still have Josh, Cook, Kincaid,Diggs, Milano, and Oliver but the other winning type players are more like solid role players, far from elite. Beane must find a quality secondary and 2 big time receivers and an edge rusher in FA and the draft. If Diggs is not the receiver of previous years, as opposed to the 2nd half of last season, getting past KC, Cinn, Baltimore will be improbable. Getting to the playoffs is great but Josh deserves to be surrounded by a better roster. -
Is trading Milano something Bills should consider?
Eastport bills replied to All I Need is Hope's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is a game changer and a homegrown superstar. He is in the top ten of OLB and our best defensive player. He’s got plenty of tread on the tires. Don’t try and reinvent the wheel. -
This is an overpriced contract with a TE that hasn’t established his value. He has injuries and low receptions in his career and with Kincaid we just need a TE who blocks. He has red zone and TD stats but I’d rather devote his cap hit to a FA receiver that stretches the field or a depth LB that can rush the QB.

Is it time to grow concerned about Greg Rousseau?
Eastport bills replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rousseau is a long, rangy speed rusher that will get better as he learns how to get to the QB. Right now he’s able to bat down passes and run down backs in the run game. If you’re not getting pressure elsewhere, the coaching staff may lose patience and go another direction. -
Level of patience? Either you’re a fan or you’re looking for an excuse to bounce. The team is right there every year and they give fans a fun, exciting ride. It’s entertainment with the chance of having a feeling of incredible joy and fulfillment. If the frustration is too much not getting there, perhaps you might consider an antidepressant.

They screwed him up at Pittsburgh with those amateur OCs and killed his confidence. Josh brings out the best in him and he could be built back up to be a QB that can use his legs and play well in the pinch. Just remember, the guy put the hapless Bears in the playoffs.

Chiefs are just better than the Bills
Eastport bills replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
They’re better but that doesn’t mean we can’t turn our fortunes in the near future. The last game was winnable and we play them tough every year. The problem has been more defensive shortcomings than not being able to score enough. We missed important players ( Milano, a healthy Douglas and Miller)this year and will hopefully be difference makers next time. Remember the Colts went through the same frustrating thing with Brady until they found a way. With this core our time is coming. -
One or two more plays must be made by the Bills in a big spot. It’s either a skill player or a play call that will put us over the hump. The windows wide open and my guess is this team will show the winning pedigree in the regular season in the next few seasons. No need to panic. The core is in place. The Miller signing has not paid dividends yet. Maybe it’s a big sack like his game changing play that put the Rams over the top that will be the difference.

What are your feelings on James Cook RB1
Eastport bills replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cook just needs to clean up some of the dropsies , which wasn’t a huge issue, but imagine the mismatches Brady can draw up with this guy as a dependable receiver. His run skills are as good as any back in football. -
Diggs cryptic comments - 2024 edition
Eastport bills replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I love what Diggs brought to the offense giving them an edge as well as big time production. Unfortunately he has become more of distraction along with less separation and production. He probably needs a new challenge and we need a less expensive, explosive threat at receiver. Take Belichek’s approach and get max value a year before his trajectory points down. -
Nice post, getting people to realize that we will turn the corner sooner than later is not easy. The frustration of being close twice now against the same team is part of the problem. Same thing happened to Peyton Manning with Brady. This dynamic changes suddenly and then we become the team. I truly believe a dominant receiver like Diggs from 2022, would have changed the outcome. Beane and Sean must take a page out of NEs playbook and upgrade a year before a player loses their edge (Diggs)and never again be undermined by a kicker that lost his confidence.

The Most Embarrassing Day in Bills’ History
Eastport bills replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s a greater accomplishment that we got to those SBs because we weren’t the best team other than the Giants game. The Norwood miss was a killer because that team revolutionized football with the no huddle. Once NFL defensive coaches studied Beliceck’s blueprint to handle us, we were not as dominant. Also our defense couldn’t neutralize Washington or Dallas with their O- lines and weapons. -

Inside Jets dysfunction article in the Athletic
Eastport bills replied to stevewin's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jets in their desperation to be relevant, handed over the operational responsibilities to a washed up , injury prone QB, who is a polarizing nut bag. I guess it’s a positive for us, but bad for football. It’s always better when one of the NY/NJ teams are championship caliber. -
Bills Unforgettable loses and the kicker connection
Eastport bills replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bill tried to replace Norwood by bringing in the Giants kicker Nittmo, but he lost the competition for the 1991 season. Then he replaced him with Christie for the 92 season. -
Bills Unforgettable loses and the kicker connection
Eastport bills replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
The thing Polian did correctly, was replace a mentally devastated kicker immediately. Hopefully Beane and Co realize Bass, as great a kid as he is, may be shot. You cannot allow a kicker to compromise a good team’s accomplishments. It’s demoralizing. -
Calling it now: Bills are going to at least reach the AFCCG
Eastport bills replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s a shame the season ended one game short of your bold prediction. The good news is that they were playing well enough to make it happen and just couldn’t make one more play. Your call came at a time when most fans had lost hope and wouldn’t have exposed themselves to the ridicule that almost was a certainty with the way they were playing. I needed a few quality wins to get on board but you never stopped believing. Nice job. -
Core concepts of Joe Brady's offense
Eastport bills replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought his offense was unpredictable and hard to defend. A big time #2 stretch the field receiver would create unstoppable crossing patterns, open running lanes for Josh and lighter boxes for Cook. I’m excited for Brady 2nd iteration. I think Josh is too. -
To me, it’s receiver, safety then DT depth.

Bills need a hardnosed, blunt QB coach
Eastport bills replied to Back2Buff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Most of those guys are OCs -
Just remember that Peyton took 9 years to get past his postseason ineptitude and win a championship. When he had the top 5 receiving corps and Edgerin James along with a great defensive and offensive line, he beat Brady. The Bills are ready right now. The Chiefs game could have been a different outcome if one or two plays went differently. Diggs’s drop, Josh’s end zone throw which he completes in his sleep if he doesn’t get bumped or even Bass’s missed chip shot. We’re a year or two out. Just stay patient. Are you not entertained?

Beautiful, heartfelt sentiments that put into perspective the abject frustration and emptiness Bills fans feel at a premature ending of an emotional ride. The loss of a loved one crushes the soul. That person lives in your heart and mind with vivid images that affect your sleep and every aspect of your life for a long time. The tough beats by your favorite team usually lasts for a few months until the offseason gives hope to move forward. The healthiest way to handle fandom is to realize that rooting is a vehicle to enhance the joy and exhilaration you so desperately need to give you balance in a challenging world, but when frustration starts putting your mental and physical health in jeopardy, remembering Scott’s words of wisdom about perspective is useful.

who is a must have on this list of Bills UFA?
Eastport bills replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dequan Jones , Ty Johnson, Dodson . The rest are either asking for too much or not worth resigning.
