Sorry, very embarrassing. Just a silly mistake, but why do they keep those threads up there. Why not trash those.

He was fine and when you keep a good team scoreless for 31/2 quarters and shut their run game down, fans are clueless to complain about a rotational tackle. They had pressure on the edges and Nix was forced into errant throws on many drives. Just take a great win with some perspective.

Ty Johnson and the improved O-line make us better than years past. Throw in all the options in the pass game and that creates coverage issues for defenders. Rather than Josh forcing throws to Diggs to shut him up, now 7 different quality receivers not including the RBs, can get 3rd down conversions. With the defense keeping Baltimore from scoring TDs on a few of their drives, Josh will score enough to get us to KC.

Mike Vrabel - Now hired as the new Patriots coach

Great hire for NE. With 130 million in cap space and a good OC they could be very good very soon. The biggest issue is personnel evaluation. We’ll see if they get that right. -
Steelers @ Ravens playoff game thread (no Bills stuff please)

No excuses bud, he did the same crap with Pickett, Rudolph and Fields. He’s a me first head case period. Either you’re a team guy or you’re not. -

Bad body language and you’d think the Steeler would get his ass in line. He’s always capable of getting a personal foul and killing a drive. The Steelers have had receivers like this for 10 years. I guess Tomlin is just concerned with having a better than 500 record every year. -

Just sad that the Steelers have one quality TE and bad receivers across the board. Pickens is a malcontent who either drops passes or cuts off routes when he feels like it. Just a losing player. -

Not anymore, he’s got a lot to prove. There problem is they’re all in with him for the foreseeable future and he’s in the same division as Mahomes.? -
Chargers at Houston playoff game thread

Maybe, I’m willing to give them a pass knowing how we were affected two years ago by those storms and Hamlin’s near death episode. Harbaugh was great in his first season and they started to rebuild the roster. My problem is that Herbert, who must be a leader and shrug off challenges swirling around the team, seemed lost and couldn’t play. He did the same thing against the Jags in his 1st playoff appearance and gagged up a 27 point lead. Maybe he needs more weapons or a better play caller but that was ugly. -

The Chargers and Herbert are just a phony team and QB. Thank goodness we dumped Greg Roman before he left his losing imprint on our team. Herbert will have to swallow his 2nd performance as a choking dog when he had a team ready to waive a white flag if he could have done anything positive. 3picks, throwing 4th down passes short of the line to gain, throwing balls to a TE who can’t catch in big spots. I like Harbaugh but his offense stinks and his special teams didn’t show up. He’s supposed be buttoned up. You want to blame the LA wild fires for this performance, OK, but this team was not ready to play. Harbaugh and Herbert left points on the field and were disappointing. -
Which team are you most scared of in the playoffs?
Eastport bills replied to margolbe's topic in The Stadium Wall
Denver is the most dangerous because we play them next. They are young, hungry, well coached and are playing with house money because with a rookie QB,they’re ahead of schedule. We just have to jump on them early and make play from behind. Our 12th man will make it very tough if we play solid. -
Did the Bills purposely lose or is New England just plain stupid?
Eastport bills replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
You’re probably right, someone with draft capital and bad management could get antsy and offer a deal desperately trying to get better at QB. The #3 or 4 might be in play as well. -

Most draft experts agree the best QBs(Sanders, Ward) are not worth trading up for or even 1st rd draft materials in a normal year. With NE having their franchise QB what’s the difference if they have move to 3 or 4. Mayo knew he was toast and players play to win. -
One Thing: Keon looked terrible yesterday
Eastport bills replied to Dr. K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don’t take anything out of that game, but his high point ability and catching in a crowd is not what it was in college. He’s OK and he’ll get better, but he gets no vertical separation and drops balls occasionally. If you involve him early and get him confident then Josh might trust him in crunch, but if he has 2 catches through 3 quarters, give me any other option on 3rd down. -
Von Miller proves the doubters wrong
Eastport bills replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Von appreciates what the Bills did for him with a bonus in a year where he was a non factor and almost looked washed, then he has to turn it on starting Sunday. Get pressure on Nix, set the edge and be disruptive. Von has been a bad signing and has been a shell of his HOF self. If he can show up for this postseason, all is forgiven. -
Have to pay him now because in a year the RB market will be big enough to make him unaffordable. He’s really good and getting better. It’s his running and threat on routes out of the backfield that has translated into so much opportunity for different receivers, and Josh running lanes. We haven’t had a back as good as Cook since Shady and before him Thurman. Get him signed.

I’m concerned about our defense matching up with Baltimore. We are a light, smallish speed defense in the front seven. We struggled against runners not nearly as tough as Henry. I think our safeties are physical, especially Rapp, but they get out of position against top receivers, as shown with Nicua, St.Brown, etc. Those TEs are very good, and with heavy boxes to protect against Lamar and Henry,we’re vulnerable. To me, we need a slow track, a big effort from Josh and the offense and a couple of turnovers, which we excel at.
-
Milano looked much better yesterday against the Jets. I think the rust is coming off and he’ll be a factor come playoff time. To me, the defense has been humiliated by the LA and Detroit games and Sean has challenged them not to be the reason we get beat. If they can keep teams to long 10 to 12 play drives ending in FGs or turnovers , throwing in a few 3 and outs or 6 and outs we will win playoff games.
-
Brady’s play calling is so imaginative and gets open receivers so often that it’s a little scary. He establishes the run with Cook and the threat of him breaking the pocket and taking off. So a safety has to account for Josh and then Ty Johnson or the TEs usually come open especially on 3rd down scenarios. His 1st down throws are usually Shakir for short completions and on those throws Cooper and Coleman or Hollins run deep crossers. It is so hard to defend all these quality options especially when Josh sees the field so well even if he’s flushed.
-
You make great points and you’re probably right, but all Bills fans remember is the beat down two seasons ago by the Bengals in a snowstorm. True, both teams are different and Josh is on a heater, but I would prefer Miami or Denver before Cinci. Imagine the gauntlet of Bengals/ Ravens/Chiefs to get to the SB.
-
Bengals are a dangerous team right now. They’re a long shot because they crapped all over themselves in September. With Burrow, Brown, Chase, Higgins and Gesicki, they can beat anyone. Too bad the lowly Dolphins play the Jets, who have checked out mentally. No sympathy for Cinci though.

Ty Johnson’s wife’s sign at the Bills game
Eastport bills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ty Johnson is a winning ball player and always shows up with an important drive sustaining play or a good return. He did the same good things for the Jets but inexplicably they didn’t want him. One of the low key master stroke moves that Beane pulled off. He also added Codrington from the clueless Jets and vastly improved our return game. The Jets are treasure trove of talented players ready to be stolen.- 69 replies

Poll: Would you trade Coleman for Worthy straight up?
Eastport bills replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
You’re absolutely right, his reputation at Fla. St. was he caught everything. He’s dropped some catchable balls but he’s showing flashes, with his length that he can dominate on 50/50 balls and he plays with an edge. I think he turns into a prime target once Josh develops trust. We have an embarrassment of riches with all the receivers that are talented. -

Why would we give up on Coleman after one season. He has the ability to be a great red zone receiver. He’s really athletic with a big catch radius and good hands. Let’s see how he does when the bright lights come on in the playoffs.
