  1. May I suggest you consider therapy before I add you to my ignored list.
  2. I've reviewed the information available on-line and do not see anything regarding a 36 hour rule. Do you have a document to support your statement or is it hearsay. From what I've read, Taron just needs to go through a simulated contact practice without reoccurance of symptoms, as today's practice was only a walk-through. It seems as if this could happen tomorrow if required.
  3. My "Ignored List" just got a little longer!!!
  4. Klein has not been activated. He was only signed to the practice squad likely as depth insurance in the event that Dotson isn't ready to go on Sunday. Smart move by Beane to get him a few practices, but this does not mean he'll be active on Sunday. I fully agree that Joseph should be active for the Steelers and will be an important piece. I also expect McDerrmott to play primarily nickel and use #7 & 21 in run blitzes early and often.
  5. From my personal experience, this is not univerally true. It is very dependent on the personalities of the people involved and the level of mutual respect they have for each other. I've been on both sides of this equation and always it worked fine. In those cases we were both colleagues and friends, so there was clear motivation to make it work. I would expect the same to be true with McDerrmott and Riveria. That said, I'm not sure Rivera adds that much to the staff, but I know I don't want any part of Wink.
  6. And Ed is the only DT that is signed for 2024! I'm okay with WR in the 1st if the value is there, but it will be a deep WR draft. M ost of the rest of the draft should be used to fill holes on the defense as numerous key contributors at DT, DE & Safety will be difficult to resign. CB & LB depth will be a secondary need.
  7. Fully agree! My fear was that if the ligament damage was a moderate to significant ACL tear, he would likely need to wait for the broken bone to heal before having surgery for the ACL. I'm not a medical professional, but my daughter tore her ACL 3 times. PT in the first weeks after an ACL reconstruction is critical to recovery and I don't know how you do that with a broken leg. If this were the case, this could push the timing for his return well into next season. If it was only a MCL sprain, that would be really great news.
  8. Fortunately for most of us, Brandon Beane doesn't consider anything said on this forum as input to his decisions. I also am someone that doesn't enjoy reading the idiotic negative stuff (especially after a loss), but I realize that these comments come from a group that is a very small, but loud minority. The best thing for me has been to just add them to my ignore list as I have found very little value in most of their comments. Constructive criticism and suggestions are fine, but personally I hope Beane & McDermott continue to be the leaders of this team for a long long time !
  9. I think Cam Lewis and Siran Neal are fighting for the 6th CB spot, but there's no room for both. Cam has versatility, but Siran is a core ST'er, so it could go either way. Rapp could replace Siran on ST and should be better in Nickle, but it will be interesting to see if the coaches believe that Cam has made a jump from last year, vs just having another nice camp. Another point that I haven't seen discussed is if someone like Benford or Jackson could adequately replace Taron if he gets dinged. Lot's of moving parts in this decision! I expect Gilliam to make the 53, so there's probably not an OL spot available for Boettger. I also think Morris will be the 3rd TE, with Sternberger going to the PS.
  10. Based on his new 3 year contract and the recent comments by M. Smiley, I believe Sam is going to be our punter for the foreseeable future, unless his leg suddenly does dead. It appears they were very happy with his performance in all aspects of his role and I certainly wouldn't argue the point. Araiza may cost a little less, but the punter's salary normally is not a significant cap concern.
  11. I realize this all went down almost a 11 months ago and people tend to have short memories, but my recollection was that the Bills were very supportive of him as the new broke. Unfortunately eventually it became clear that the time and energy he would need to spend on defending himself would also require him to put his NFL career on pause. I would not ne shocked that they supported him through the legal process as they seemed to believe his version of the story. Fortunately, the truth was revealed fairly quickly and he can start the journey to have a real life again. This is all despite the opinions and comments of idiots like Mike Schopp that were 110% convinced he was guilty because the LA Times would never report anything that was not accurate! This thread is not about Schopp, but I clearly recall being sickened by his lack of professionalism and stupidity at the time.
  12. I live in Michigan and did the same analysis right after the schedule came out. I came to the same conclusion as you, but as I already had YoutubeTV, the cost was only $249. Along the way, I also realized that Sunday Ticket would also give me the flexibility to watch whatever game I was most interested in on the weeks when the Bills are playing in Primetime or the 4:30 game, instead of only the Lions. In the end, I decided to go with it for this year and see how it goes.
  13. In the very small chance that Hopkins was ever really in play for the Bills, this signing has zero impact on that becoming a reality.
  14. I know I didn't do a great job setting up this poll, but it was my first shot at one. The next one will be better! That said, the limited results so far make me feel a bit better knowing that not all Bills fans have not lost their minds and that I'm not alone in looking forward to the seasons to come.
  15. I'm as disappointed as ost of you about how the 2022 season ended, but I don't have the anger that seems to dominate this forum over the past 3 weeks
  16. Aw come on, don't you know that people with a positive outlook aren't allowed to post here for at least another couple weeks? This time of year is reserved for the negative Nelly's and haters! I'm patiently waiting until it's our turn again, but Shaw's objective 2022 Wrap-up post from last week gave me a little hope were getting closer.
  17. Benford is already 6'0" & 205 lbs, which is bigger than both Hyde & Poyer, so no need to bulk up for the position. I have felt for weeks that this is plan A for Safety next year since he had experience at the position in college and we need to start getting younger there given Hyde & Poyer's age.
  18. Just found this info: To be eligible for the Superbowl bonus a player must satisfy one of the following: -Must have been on the 53-man roster for the Super Bowl as well as the previous three games -Must have played in at least eight games for the team that season without being contracted to another team -Are injured veteran players with one year of tenure who were put on the injured list during the season -Are injured four-year veterans who went on the injured list in the preseason Signing Beasley to the 53 this week satisfies the first criterion. Perhaps that's the reason.
  19. This move is really puzzling to me. As others have said, Beasley could have been called up for any or all of the playoff games without any roster moves being required, so the McKenzie injury can't be the primary reason for the move. Beas also stated when he resigned that this was where he really wanted to be and as such he could refuse any offer to go to another team's 53 to stay here. He would get a pay bump to the vet minimum for the games where he was called up, so the only plausible scenario I can see is that another team tried to sign him to something above the vet min and the Bills decided to do him a solid and match the other offer. That said, the idea of going to a new team and new system just before a playoff run also seems pretty remote, unless that team happened to be the Giants and the Daboll offense. This move also complicates what might be done to open a slot on the 53 for Crowder if and when he's ready to go, since Murray seemed to be the most obvious cut available. We'll likely never know, but there must be more to this move than we can see.
  20. This post is incredibly disappointing to me. I have long felt that it is absolutely ridiculous for someone that likely wasn't athletic enough to even play highschool football, to openly say that an athlete that was able to make it to the NFL level "sucks", much less a guy that has had a career like this man has. It's okay to be critical and say that he just can't play at the level that is required, but they ALL deserve more respect than to be labeled like this. If this week hasn't taught us that, I guess nothing ever will. I had been really hopeful that Damar's situation would shift the perspective for at least a couple weeks, but unfortunately it only took a couple days for the venom to reappear. We all really need to be better than this!
  21. I fully agree! Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but fortunately I trust that the Pegulas and Brandon Beane are far more rational than the posters that think change is the answer for everything. I have full confidence that the vast majority of Bills fans want McDermott to have a Mike Tomlin type run in Buffalo and I fully suspect he may. Of course there's some reasons for concern at this point based on some very average performances in the last 5 games, but last year at this time we were 7-4, would lose the 2 of next 3 games to drop to 8-6. Yet somehow posters claim this was our best chance to win the Superbowl and we're now doomed this year at 8-3. I suggest everyone calms down and wait to the season is over before making any judgements against this mythical state of perfection that some expect. However I also know that some folks are just not wired to be able to do this, but just very thankful that I am not one of them.
  22. If the presale is sold out, I suspect there won't be a public sale. If you look at the resale map on Ticketmaster, it seems every seat is either unavailable or available for resale at >$70 (upper deck). I suspect you will see this price drop when we get closer to gametime, but the clowns that bought up the tickets trying to turn a profit don't have a lot invested, so they may just eat the tickets.
  23. We are also still looking for at least 4 more for the rest of our group.
  24. Sure, We were looking for 6, but 3 is better than nothing.
  25. We live just north of Detroit and were excited about going on Sunday, but were unable to get tickets on the BB app when it opened at 5 pm yesterday. I tried all evening and again this morning. It looked like the Ticketmaster site was not functioning properly, but it appears a lot people bought the 6 max quantity with hopes to put them in the resale market at a profit. Does anyone have more information or had more success than I did.
