  1. I don't think Stafford is half the athlete that Lamar is imo (at least not anymore). You can say what you will but scrambling, keeping plays alive and using your legs is an integral part of QB play these days. Stroud just doesn't have the history to be considered, maybe in a year or two that'll change. I agree that Mahomes and Allen are basically 1A and 1B and then it drops off, but Lamar is definitely a top 5 QB.
  2. Have you seen some of the compensation packages CEOs get and the golden parachutes attached to those things?
  3. My favorite pass of his was during the Dallas Thanksgiving game where he just uncorks a rocket to Cole Beasley between 2 defenders on 3rd down backed up way into their own endzone. You gotta really believe in yourself to throw that pass.
  4. He clearly has something that NFL teams covet. He's obviously not suited to be a starting NFL quarterback and he's put enough on tape to dispel any myths that he'll be a starter. That being said he reminds me of Davis Webb. Has the smarts, knows where to go with the ball, etc. Just doesn't have the subconscious in game processing speed and athletic ability required to be a starter to execute on them effectively. Both probably have viable career paths available to them in coaching if they want it.
  5. I'd rather us start slow, find our footing and round into form come October. Last couple of years we've come out hot and slumped midseason and had to rally to make the postseason. The Patriots did the 'September preseason' thing for years and it seemed to work out just fine for them.
  6. Probably said/did all the right things during pre-draft interviews. He had a strong junior season and put up decent numbers as a Tar Heel. Definitely wasn't the strongest QB coming out in that draft but the Bears weren't great at drafting then and still aren't now. I was surprised by the move because I honestly thought they were moving up for Watson because they thought maybe SF might take him? The whole trade and selection just seemed super strange that year. SF wasn't QB hungry, they had just traded for Jimmy G and he looked great the season before and they paid him so why trade all that draft capital to move one spot when there's a strong chance the team before you isn't looking for a QB unless you know something everyone else doesn't?
  7. Gable Stevenson is gonna start a playoff game at tackle because we lost Ed for the year
  8. He's still a solid rotational player and as long as they manage his workload well should be a good signing for them.
  9. Guys like him getting drafted feels like the Tyreek Hill Effect. TH is fast af so clearly that’s the sauce. Just go find guys that are fast af and you can field a squad of TH’s and be unbeatable. Teams finding out it doesn’t work that way.
  10. I find the constant comments about speed odd. Miami had the fastest team on paper and they got manhandled by KC. KC was much slower than SF on paper and still won. Speed isn’t everything.
  11. I feel like this team has generally been well constructed with not a ton of whiffs or busts and the front office has been pretty shrewd in knowing when to pounce and when to stay pat or move back. Beane will be do what he feels he has to and I generally trust his instincts.
  12. He's probably defensive because he hears the 'do or die' music playing real loud right now. The window on Josh's rookie deal is closed, he's been provided good rosters the last couple of years and has had all the tools he needs to get it done and the team keeps coming up short. Him launching into that unprompted is very likely an effect of this conversation being had with him by the Bills org behind closed doors. Is he a good coach? Absolutely, he's a tremendous leader of men and a great 'get the culture right' guy. Is he a Super Bowl winning coach? That one is looking increasingly more dubious.
  13. In the short term letting Douglas go is foolish, but do you really want to give a 30+ CB a big bag? Yeah he played really well for us, but are you gonna get the productivity out of him that his contract would demand? I'd try to retain him on a 2yr deal but I would be really hesitant to make it much longer than that.
  14. can it be all three?
  15. That team is ***** stacked and their best player is probably Trent Williams
  16. I think this was a good hire. You want a coach that gets a team to punch above its weight and does more with less. Pierce clearly showed he could do that. Their DC, Patrick Graham, is one to watch as well.
  17. Surprised it’s tied. Texans offense has done very little.
  18. Bruh, Kincaid has had some ridiculous catches this year. Sherfield’s tip drill TD was bonkers. Shakir has had a couple of batshit catches as well and nice TDs to go with it to boot. This team has weapons, and it’s not just Diggs.
  19. omg I remember when the NFL tried to penalize the crowd for being too rowdy. That “rule” went over like a wet fart and they got rid of it quick 😂
  20. Really hoping Bernard and Taron can go. We must feed The Pit, it demands sacrifice.
  21. Lmao did you see the cameras? There was no way you could have played that game 😂
  22. Instructions unclear, currently stuck in pit
