It's hard to overstate how much of an impact having Milano out will have on defending that KC offense. If Milano is out I give the advantage to KC. If Milano is healthy and plays I think the Bills will win.
I dunno, he was out there for us in the AFCCG and he couldn't stop a soft breeze. I think regardless of whether he's there or not this Sunday the Bills defense is still well equipped to stop KC. Our defense is legit this year.

If (big if) the Bills can execute I want to see slow, grinding drives that chew up clock and create a super lopsided TOP for Buffalo. The best defense (like the NE teams of old) is to keep Mahomes on the sideline and create anxiety and urgency to score points. Maximize our possessions, give them as few as possible and we waltz out of there with a win.
Its basically how KC beat Buffalo the first time last year. They basically never let them have the ball, and when they did have it, they couldn't capitalize.

I thought daboll's play calling in the afc championship was kinda weak. That could partially be due to the cheifs just destroying us right from the start. I think the bills need to be super aggressive on offense and defense all game long. If there's one thing I've learned watching the cheifs, it's that there is no lead you can have that is safe. The bills could litterally be winning 40-10 with 2 mins to go in the 4th and I'd still be nervous
The Bills (almost literally) limped into that game. No real running game, Zack Moss on IR, Diggs, Beasley and Davis hobbling around and getting pushed around by KC's DBs. In our first matchup we had equal issues. No Milano, weak DL, White coming off a back injury, Edmunds playing with a bum shoulder, Brown basically being a decoy/non-factor.
Just wish we could play them at relatively good or full strength to get a real read. Feel like our last 2 matchups have been played with one hand tied behind our back.

TIL that Diggs is currently the Bills leading receiver and I'm genuinely surprised that's the case. Man has over 300 yards receiving in first 4 games of the season and it just feels like it could be so much more.

Chip Kelly sucked, though. He had a talented Eagles team when he got there and he totally ruined it. It was kind of Bill O'Brien-esque. He hasn't done anything with UCLA.
Yeah he royally destroyed that Eagles team, in what universe do you trade LeSean McCoy for Kiko Alonso and trade FOR Sam Bradford??!

Wait just a GD minute. Schefty said he was released outright. HTF did the Cheats get a draft pick for a guy they RELEASED?
It's a leverage play, you announce some guy is getting released the afternoon/evening before, but releases don't become official until 4pm day of. This signals to other teams "hey, if you want this guy, give us a call"
This is pretty standard stuff.

Head coaches today who won't be head coaches on 1/15/22:
- Urban Meyer
- Matt Nagy
- Brian Flores
I would potentially add Nick Sirianni to that list and maybe David Culley.

I feel like this is gonna be an odd cat/mouse game. The weakness of KC is their D, their strength is their O. Our strength is our D with our O being slightly weaker. How do you neutralize that on either side? Play small tactical ball, take the short stuff, good balanced attack between runs and short passes and play for TDs on long 6+ minute drives.
For KC that's their gameplan because it keeps our D on the field, tiring them out. It keeps our O off the field where they're not dicing up their awful D. For us its the same game plan because it keeps KC's O on the sideline and gives our D time to rest to force KC to play small ball and settle for FGs. I wouldn't be surprised if both teams came into this game with a very similar gameplan, for very different reasons.

Marshon Lattimore just signed one of the richest CB deals in history and has only a $4 million cap hit this year.
I don’t think Gilmore will sign a 1 year deal. He could easily get a 4 year monster deal with cap pushed to the future.
There's not a snowball's chance in hell he signs a 4 year deal at age 31 and coming off some soft tissue lower body injuries. Any GM that does that should be fired on the spot.
Boundary corners who primarily play man don't have a shelf life past their early 30s as the speed to keep up with outside wideouts drops off.

I mean their defense has looked just fine without him so far.

I said this after the game last year, but our coaching staff needs to assess how the game is being called and adjust - if they're getting away with holding on every play, we need to adjust to play more physical as well.
The refs are there to maintain control, if the chiefs are mugging us we should return the favor and dare the refs to keep things civil. Feel like that’s why we got pushed around in the afccg, they were pushing us around and we didn’t dare push back.- 1

Gawd people here panicking about Davis Mills and talking trap game nonsense. We're a good team and our defensive scheme eats rookie QBs for breakfast, lunch and dinner. People gotta start realizing that our defense is tough to get a read on and we're like Belichik with rookie QBs, we just grin and sneer, "fresh meat".

I still cant figure out why now vs during next off season being so much on the hook for all this years guaranteed money.
I guess when you have LVE and Micah Parsons out there Jaylon Smith becomes irrelevant. Sure he's on a big contract but if you know you're gonna not play him and he knows that he's gonna be ridin' pine why not do each other a solid and just cut the guy and let him find a home somewhere?

I just wish he’d stop tweeting ffs and focus on what matters: crushing KC this Sunday. I don’t tune into a Bills message board for Beasley’s spicy vax takes. I’m here to talk X’s and O’s and piss and moan that we haven’t traded for Ertz yet.

I don't agree with his vax takes, and I think he should have been more self aware before kicking this wasps' nest. He should have known his stance would piss off a lot of people. He seems to be struggling to deal with that blowback and venting on social media about it, which I'm not sure is how I'd go about it but to each their own.
That being said, don't boo your own players jfc. That's some gutter ***** Eagles fan's do.

It probably will settle down, but right now it's looking like there are a lot of bad teams.
I think its also a coaching mentality with the Bills as of late, we come out looking for blood and its not something we used to do 2-3 years ago. Since the second half of 2020 this team has simply decided that there will be no close games. Bills are either gonna lose or just crush the other team.

He invited scrutiny by taking a vocal position that is extremely controversial. If you don’t like the heat, don’t shine the light on yourself.

It is true that another benefit of having a stable franchise and great QB is the quality of free agents the Bills attract.
Smoke, Diggs, Sanders, Trubiski...
I can remember when free agents ran away from Buffalo like it was a dumpster fire of disposable diapers.
A lot has changed.
Love that Buffalo feels like football camp for a lot of players. Come to Buffalo, focus on football, focus on yourself and be your best you. All goes well you leave with a ring.

I think the defense will also if they target him that much.
The Frazier/McDermott defense is not friendly to inexperienced QBs, or even a lot of experienced ones. I'm expecting at least a couple of ints because of well disguised coverages and hurried throws forced into bad windows.

It’s a close game but this feels like two very ‘meh’ teams just beating up on each other.

I mean is he getting a pass? Also last year JA and Bills really tried to downplay the shoulder issue and didn't address it or make any noise about it. No sense in wallowing in self pity. Just go out there and win games.
