I mean, he was only the QB coach of one of the most polarizing draft picks of recent history and now Allen is basically a Hemi with a surface to air missile launcher mounted to the bed. Of course he'd be getting some looks.

Sean Payton on the end of the Bills-Chiefs game

I feel like our entire team and coaching staff was so mindblown that JA actually pulled out that final drive and put them up by 3 with 13 seconds left that after that everyone just had a collective "oh god don't ***** it up don't ***** it up oh ***** we ***** it up" -
Sean Payton on the end of the Bills-Chiefs game

There wasn't a rush lane because Hubbard was spying him on every dropback that wasn't a handoff. He'd flood the middle of the field and take away the easy running yards up the middle. Then on 3rd down they'd mix it up and sometimes pressure and pray and it seemed to be juuust enough to throw the timing off. It's not an exotic game plan by any stretch of the imagination, it was just executed well by a very hungry team and another team that seemed to have the wind drop out of its sails at the worst possible time. -
So is the trick to beating Mahoney seriously just rush three, keep a spy and play tight coverage? I swear that’s the only thing that changed from one half to the other and Mahomes looked totally out of sync.

Bengals getting boat raced.

To the AFC West? Lol.

Josh and him have really grown into each other. They’re seeing the field properly now and we’re getting good/great production from a TE in an offense that doesn’t necessarily run through TEs like SF’s or LV’s. Hell yeah I’m keeping him. Not for top 5 or top 3 TE money, but they’d be dumb not to make him a fair market offer to keep him.

We already saw what happens when multiple Josh Allens are on the football field. Weird ***** happens, like the Jaguars game. One Josh Allen seems to absorb the life energy of the other. It’s like some Highlander thing. There can be only one.

Josh Allen's 4 year progression displayed through one stat?
uninja replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is a bad idea. Josh Allen’s kryptonite is Josh Allen, see the Jaguars game. -

I mean, they’re not telling me anything I didn’t already know 2 years ago, but I guess late to the party is better than never. I’m bummed out about how it ended. That was a performance for the ages. I hope he goes over 9000 and just lays waste to everything in his path next year. -
With McDermott, you can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good

We're a special kind of damaged at this point 😂 Yeah that loss sucked bad. Let's not get crazy, just about everything about this team is somewhere between above average to elite. -
Do we now become a “goto” destination for free agents.

If we could land Gronk and Patterson for next year, that would be something. -
I tend to not listen too much to what players tend to say after coming up short in big moments like this. It's very emotionally charged, there's a lot of feelings. They're not thinking rationally and that moment is definitely not the time to make any potentially life changing decisions. That being said, I think he was just talking about how each team/locker room is different year to year.

1/23/22 Week 20 Divisional Playoffs Bills @ Chiefs PREGAME THREAD
uninja replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
There’s an excellent game from 2019 where Frank Reich and the obviously undermanned Colts beat the Chiefs by simply forcing them to play the game on the Colts’ terms. Whatever happens tonight I want the Bills to dictate the rules of engagement and the pace of play. Play keep away, string together long drives and play suffocating defense. -
Venison chili and wings is what I got going on tomorrow.

Divisional round Saturday - 49ers at Packers on FOX

Did the 49ers not practice for the elements? All those plays coming out perfect, receivers open, blocks set, balls hits them square in the hands. -
Divisional Round SATURDAY: Bengals at Titans, 4:30 on CBS
uninja replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Titans win this. They’ve managed to keep winning, while losing their RB1 for most of the season and a major part of their offense. They’ve lost AJ and Julio for various portions of the season and they’ve played almost unwatachably ugly football yet still keep winning. They’re as close to full strength as they’ve been all season and everyone is counting them out. They’re a dangerous team and wouldn’t be at all shocked if they won the SB playing annoying ugly football and winning every game 20-17. -
