Week 12: Bills at Saints on Thanksgiving
Since1981 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
McD totally screwed up. Team plays better from even or ahead. Josh’s is better, calmer. D’s better. So…I heard about a new techno magic weather LTE box thingy…Sunday it showed mysterious dark green blobs just south of OP at 1pm so stupid! -
A Few Thoughts about the Colts game, in no particular order
Since1981 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
P.S. Wouldn't it be better to practice blind timing routes when: wind may or may not be swirling the same at practices or in games? OR practice field is not the stadium field? it's raining, it's not raining, turf, lines different at practice field....I retract cover makes sense to me. Your team could be practicing in the exact HOME field environment with a retract dome, EXACT ENVIRONMENT, EVERY PLAY, EVERY DAY, EVERY YEAR....fine-tune your home timing pass attack.... -
A Few Thoughts about the Colts game, in no particular order
Since1981 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yup. Ownership has to wake up on this. The NFL is NOT AT ALL built for 'ground and pound'. Snow.... open the roof for a game or two, but is not a competitive advantage for our players, recruiting, practice, NFL air rules. OP WIND is horrific. Can anyone name an NFL location with more wind? NOPE. Seriously, there is no place with more wind. I like the snow globe games like everybody but we get 1 (maybe) a year. Dah: Great outside tailgating and retractable roofs are two completely different topics. -
Week 12: Bills at Saints on Thanksgiving
Since1981 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am THANKFUL that it is the late game! So glad we are not the Lions—-for at least 2 reasons 😕 thanksgiving should be for half sleeping thru teams I don’t care much about…. -
11/21 Colts at Bills, Postgame Postmortem Thread
Since1981 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
it is the rare nfl team in 2021 built for our weather. Pagulas and bills fans are nuts to build stadium without a covering. NUTS. Ground and pound is unusual… Kudos to Henry, Taylor. Rare. -
Beez is great 6-11 yds. better complimentary player than the others. I wonder how much Josh plays into front office to form opinions. *now if only he could hear us yelling beeeeez and not boooo ?! I would retain him as #3 / slot for avg or slightly above avg cost. He’s single handed won a few games.

Upstate gets more $ from NYS per capita than NYC, LI. That is a fact. However, if we were two states, upstate would not have laws, regs, tax, more at this level. Things like Scaffold Law (gravity liability) would never pass in “Upper New York State”. Upstate laws would look more like NH Live Free or Die…. that said, time for NYS to build a stadium even remotely like Yankees!!

Remember when we used to say “weather was a competitive advantage”? Aka ground and pound days? That’s not the 2021 NFL except for King Henry—-ONE GUY! offenses, QB, receivers, special teams…no FA wants to play in the constant winds over Lake Erie. it is a competitive disadvantage to have excessive winds for recruitment and fan attendance late season. Crazy to build without an “enclosure” from wind.

We will see if D line can cause Mohomey trouble. Beane had the KC loss VERY fresh in his mind during the offseason. This is where he focused… That forward shovel pass on Sunday… wth. Maybe Pat gets a turf toe during a State Farm ad??

One Bills Live with Chris Brown and... Maddy Glab?
Since1981 replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maddy takes 3 times as long to setup a question and references 8 bogus stats as setup…I’ve fallen asleep while she asked a question. Charlie Brown teacher “blah blah quaka quoke…” -
What was up with Beasley today?

What was up with Beasley today?
Since1981 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1) 70,000 sat in a downpours. 2) paid a day(s) wages 3) ALL 70K HAD TO BE VACCINATED. cole should have at least had the maturity to know the situation and his audience (all wet, all vaxed) Cole…just say; “Sorry, this is ultimately a private matter, I am adhering to NFL covid guidance going forward as required” (Get test, get paid, get quiet) -
Brady plays all of 2020 with Unreported MCL Injury
Since1981 replied to Buffalo Boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
“wide receiver announced in his final media session of the season that he broke his fibula during Buffalo's Week 16 game against the Patriots. Beasley "It was bad the first game I played, but after that you take a few meds and suck it up." -
Rationale for the dorm bootcamp bond style camp was nearly over last year. Only two reasons to have a “camp” in Rochester 1) help team get ready and 2) sell tickets interest. I don’t see either of these significantly improved circa 2021 by a SJF camp. Bonding is real but they can “bond” over golf or Madden in BUF AND vets be with their family. the days when Fred Smurlus showed up out of shape are long over. This is a quality product and doesn’t need a red/white/blue bouncy house in Rochester to sell tickets.

Thank you Buffalo Bills
Since1981 replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Get the home field advantage next year AFC title. 70,000 quiet fans will again let Josh make the line calls he had been making during covid and Beane helps in the offseason. We made it past all expectations and have a critical core built! Bills 2022 champs! (half full kind of guy:) -
When they keep a TE in to block or pspiedo block , Josh is able to find the fewer receivers. It seems that the extra seconds benefit our WR + QB style where the very backend of a route or off script is a competitive advantage of the offense.

Weather is the Bills kryptonite....
Since1981 replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remembered that comment too. It struck me as rather odd at the time. Without a run game...I can see how the Josh style of super fast short game and beautiful long balls....would be more impacted by wet/windy. A guy like Fitz might not have the arm but then his game doesn’t depend on precision and speed. Precision gets totally wacked in wet/wind. so, we don’t have a run game and our passer has a fast precision style. Maybe we need Fitz and Lynch or dome. bahhahaaa. -
Harbaugh: “The wind was very impactful”
Since1981 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought the bills lose if wind was 15 mph and I posted this week. BUT....I never in a million years would think we hold them to THREE. CINCO, III, 3!! ...in NFL 2021 Divisional. that’s damn impressive -
Harbaugh: “The wind was very impactful”
Since1981 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh had sooooo much time. That shocked me. OL was stellar. He would have lit them up without wind. Some of those long balls in the Q1 and Q3 would have been TDs in games played south of Erie county.
