Gunner's 2022 Mock Draft (v3 and FINAL - p.17!!)
Cray51 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
@GunnerBill what are your thoughts on David Bell out of Purdue. Not the sexy first rounder WR that people may want, but he just seems to be so productive, and I think he beats man coverage better than most in the class. Decent size (6'2) and should run around a 4.48/4.52 at the combine - so not terribly slow. I would love him as a 2nd rounder if we go another route in the 1st, but always appreciate your take on players. -
McD's Bills in postseason: 3-0 at Home, 0-4 Road.

I see we are counting any loss as a choke job at coaching now. -
While I agree in the past Beane hasn't picked up too many high priced FAs, it takes two to tango. Imagine if Olson chose us, or Watt. Those are both big name players What I have seen, is Beane doesnt throw out large contracts in FA. He prefers 2 year deals with flexibility to adjust on the fly. I could see him trying to entice a pretty decent FA to come to Buffalo and be the player to put us over the top. I also believe we will only sign 4-5 players this year, Beane structures his roster so he doesn't need to bring in 10+ new faces (2019 being the outlier). Expect 2ish depth players, 1-2 key backups, 1-2 potential starters.

Give me Gilmore 2 years 20 million rather than Jackson 5 years at 75
-
If we have the chance on a one year deal.... I'd consider bringing back Gilmore. Tre and Gilmore can play such good blanket coverage, force teams to throw inside where Edmunds has length, and could give us a best in the NFL secondary. I know we can play zone a lot as well, but Gilmore is a steroid Levi Wallace

Sullivan: Bills' McDermott choked away Super Bowl-caliber season
Cray51 replied to QCity's topic in The Stadium Wall
But he did have a 4 point lead with 47 seconds to go and the Bills in their own territory. And he did choke that away as well. both coaches had moments they wish they could forget in the final 2 minutes. Because the two qbs are transcendent talents -
Sullivan: Bills' McDermott choked away Super Bowl-caliber season
Cray51 replied to QCity's topic in The Stadium Wall
Choked is probably an apt word, but you have to play, call, execute a hell of a game to get to the point of choking it away. i thought Mcd called a great game other than the 13 seconds. Used timeouts well, went for it when it made sense, kept the team composed. On the 3rd and 1 with the trick play, he was screaming on the sideline and knew the play before it was even snapped. You take your lumps and build. Mcd takes accountability like no other, and will learn from this -
I actually thought kick it out of the endzone. We just saw Hill return a punt to the redzone, and that game was so wild at the time I almost wanted them to slow down and force Mahomes 40 yards on two plays. Problem is, we played too soft and the play design (especially on the first pass to Hill) was executed perfectly

Edmunds will never be an appreciated player until he is gone and we have to fill the gap. The defense was designed to leave the LB's out to dry last night, with safeties playing back and CB's covering zone. Milano had just as bad a game if not worse than Edmunds. Next year will be the decider for Edmunds. Can he develop a better eye for attack and shoot the gap harder, or will he continue to be a good but not great MLB (which in McD's style, you need a great MLB).
-
Yes we have closed the gap. Daboll called a great game yesterday. Idk what others were watching. He very likely is gone this off-season, which will be a tough pill to swallow. McD actually called a great head coach game… until the final 13 seconds. Was aggressive and mature throughout. No wasted timeouts (until the final 13), and is continuing to improve as a coach. Frazier just coached himself out of a head coach opportunity. 42 points is just too much. we have the core locked down for at least two more years. Players will come and go, and we will continue to get better. ill say this, next year the rematch better come through Buffalo. I’m done playing them in KC

I suspect some weird nickel type formation where he has a corner spy Allen. Force him to Gabe Davis all day and play physical at the line against the WRs not saying it would work, but I would be spying with speed dbs to slow Allen when he gets outside the pocket

1/9/22 Gameday AFCE Champs vs Jets Postgame Thread.
Cray51 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Give my the chargers. Herbert dealing with the wind and the Buffalo crowd. if the Bills are on we win against either team. But I don’t want the Pats drama -
Sully is simply trying to get an article by being slimy. Ask the question in a way that actually gives some insight to what the team was trying to do. ”you all played a predominantly 4-3 D against them even though they continued to run. Did you feel you had the bodies to match their physicality, and could execution have been better throughout the night?” but instead he tried to push the safeties (a top 3 combo in the league) into saying they were embarrassed or terrible tonight. It solves nothing and it’s ***** reporting
-
Poor execution is a problem for sure. We beat ourselves tonight
-
I actually am surprised they don’t run more screens in the red zone.
-
The D actually wasn’t terrible. 10 stops on 12 3rd downs. Have the offense great field position time and time again. One big play where we didn’t close the gap. But this was not a loss due to the defense. This was a lack of offensive execution
-
Fortunately we Have larger sample size than One game with 50 mph winds to determine how good a team may be. The team is 7-5, could be 10-2 or 11-1. If that’s not good with the chance to be great if we can convert then we fundamentally disagree on descriptor words. That’s semantics…
-
coach we’ve had in 20 years. A franchise QB for the first time in two decades. If we do make a change, it’s at OC. But that’s not Happening until after the season. So ill wait until then to make any major claims of change
-
Semantics homestly
-
We are likely ending the year on a 4 game winning streak and we will be one of the hottest teams going into the playoffs. It’s a week to week league. I’m frustrated that we lost, but I’m staying calm Because this team has top of the league potential.
-
Great teams win close games. We are a good team with the ability to be great. We need to improve, but let’s it jump off ledges here
-
I agree they need to start winning, but I’ll give them the benefit for right now. do I want them To win? Absolutely. But I’ll stay patient and not throw some of the insane claims others are tossing out
-
I thought the wind took the ball and pushed it down and left
-
The Bills have lost 4 of their 5 games by one score or less. You can callout bad plays here or there, but this team is inches away from 11-1 in all honesty. titans game comes down to the end jags game down to the end pats game down to the end pitt game to the end i said 13-4 to start the year, it’s looking more like 11-6. We have had one bad loss. In my opinion we are just as good as we were last year. We just aren’t getting bounces our way. but the fire mcd and cut Knox callouts are so dumb it’s comical

And Jesus people on here cry more than a newborn. Parity in this league is high this year, take a breath and let’s see how it all shakes out
