  1. Against a DEPLETED secondary. Jones is playing well, but I would t consider anything he is doing as “comparison to Brady”. 14 points at home against a secondary that had to sign Sherman just to field some corners. what’s more interesting is teams are going to have the BB game plan against Brady. It’s shown to be effective so far.
  2. Sherman is SLOW out there. the last 4-5 WR completions have gone to his assignment
  3. That 4th down call to go for it at the 1 is looking poor right now. Could have been up 17-0 at half. Neither team looks particularly stunning this game. Sloppy and inconsistent.
  4. I think Taron’s positional play is more impactful than CB2 currently. Taron is so physical on the line, and has played well in coverage. really liked his game over the last year and I hope we can bring him back
  5. Dallas ran an offense I think we will see similar to the Bills on Sunday. Throw heavy, avoid the stout Dline of the Steelers. Allen likely could have 350+ with a few touchdowns as we target their weakness (Secondary)
  6. It feels nice knowing the ability of most of your team. We know what these guys can do. I'm expecting 30 points from our offense. This matchup comes down to defense. Can we get their offense off the field as much as possible? I think we can. 31-17 is my guess. We jump out to a decent lead at half and force Pitt to have a few 4th down plays in the redzone as they need TD's over FGs.
  7. Not surprised - he had a rough camp and preseason. They like Jones, although I am not as impressed as others might be. He was the 3rd best rookie QB in preseason, and this furthers my thought that the patriots are much more a 7-8 win team than a 10+. Teams will throw a LOT at this kid in game.
  8. Steelers best chance to win the game is to create turnovers and control the clock. The best acquisition the Bills made this offseason was bringing Sanders in. He and Beasley can identify and sit in coverage gaps, allowing Allen the quick out he needs to combat aggressive defenses. Then, as they sit back to fill the gaps, Allen can attack over the top. The Bills offense is LOADED this year. I struggle to see how any team who does not carry the same offensive talent will keep the Bills from scoring 30+ a game. AVERAGE defensive play this year results in 12+ wins for this team. With the Steelers, it will take Big Ben firing on all cylinders to pull out a win. He needs to lead an effective offense for 60 minutes, with the knowledge that he is the best player on their side of the field. Harris is great but I dont put him as a top 5 back yet. Their WR's will likely struggle to create separation against the secondary. It will be a test for sure, but I expect the bills to win 34-20 or so.
  9. Some other things to consider (if you want to get into a lot of detail) look for #1 receivers. Don’t worry about the team. #1 receivers on any team will VERY LIKELY our score a #2 on a great team. remember, QBs on bad teams will throw a TON towards the end of the game. Although rookie QBs are always a big risk to take. I did an analysis a few years ago, the consistent best defenses over the past decade have been the Steelers, New England, Ravens. I’d also look at an average defense that plays in a bad division. Think Washington. That’s 6 games a year where your defense will likely put up points. WRs don’t have much difference in scoring between rankings 15 and 50. Focus on getting GREAT players at a position. Draft a Kelse early compared to your WR2 kickers are a crapshoot usually Bye weeks matter, but if you lose one week because your top 3 players are on the same bye it’s not the end of the world lastly, try to pick a WR from the team your QB plays on. If you trust your QB, that WR will get points. Think AJ brown (or Julio) and Tannehill, or Adams and Rodgers, Metcalf and Wilson. Of course Allen and Diggs
  10. We are complaining of qb3 on the roster. If Allen were to go down and we play with Mitch, we are likely bringing another vet for safety just in case. I’ll worry at that point
  11. Bears punt coverage has been TERRIBLE all game. watching any QB throw other than Allen, you see the difference in velocity. Fields has floated the ball twice now where driving like Allen would have resulted in better outcomes
  12. Love this as a low risk medium reward signing. Breida's speed can play well in either our screen game or our outside run game. We have one of the best pull centers in the league, let's use him with Breida to allow him to get to the outside and turn upfield
  13. If it is a permitted kill.... what's the issue? I dont hunt, but I have no issue with someone posting about their permitted hunting experiences. And the people who are shaming and taking issue, call into your state and adjust your hunting permits.... why are you mad at a guy who a)didnt even post this himself and b)is within permitted rules and regulations... Confusing to say the least
  14. Just like that dummy Tom Brady who didn't watch the Broncos in the Superbowl... another one of those rookies who is young and needs to learn. He was only 36 when he said it! " I don’t have much of a rooting interest, truthfully. Those games are hard to watch. I don’t see myself sitting down to enjoy a football game or watch it. Our season is over. Truthfully, I could care less about watching a game. That’s pretty much how I feel."
  15. Dont know Davis' true ceiling, but I do know barring injury he is in the NFL for 8 years at least. A level headed professional who does his job well will get opportunities in the NFL.
  16. Its unfortunate but he was able to get a matched offer by San Fran. Dollars and cents were the same for both sides and his GF preferred to live in one city compared to the other. If he took LESS money to sign with SF I would have been more pissed, but same $$ I cant fault him too much
  17. When the defense we laid out wasnt working, we shifted to a more aggressive man coverage approach. That was at halftime. And we saw the Chiefs target Hill more and easily put the game away. The Bucs beat the chiefs by only blitzing FIVE times during the game. They used their LBs to man cover Kelce, and doubled up Hill. They forced Mahomes to throw to WRs who are not the cream of the crop, and you saw drops and batted balls all night. The Bills lost by not getting pressure on Mahomes, and not putting TDs on the board in the redzone. If they force Mahomes to circle back like he did so much in the Super Bowl, our Safeties can cover more effectively and our LBs can attack the ball more. Mahomes was getting the ball out of his hand early against the Bills, but struggled doing so against the Bucs. If you blitz KC, you lose. Simple as that. If you get pressure with 4, you are forcing Mahomes to throw into double coverage and that's not the best plan. If Mahomes beat the Bucs, Bowles (the most aggressive DC in the league) would have been the one who was call the scared rabbit. The difference was talent at the line (I also want to call out the depleted offensive line for the Chiefs, which also played a huge role in their loss)
  18. I dont necessarily agree with the thought that the defensive gameplan was all wrong. I just dont think the players were good enough to execute the gameplan at the level needed to beat the Chiefs. We pulled the safeties back, played a 4 rush technique, and soft zone in the middle. The only difference between us and the Bucs plan was the LB coverage. We didn't play man on Kelce and press the line as much. We needed the line to get more pressure on Mahomes. Flat out - the line put the rest of the defense in a bad place. When we adjusted to a riskier approach in the second half - the game was over. KC was able to take our over aggressive nature and capitalize.
  19. I'd say the RB's were 4th or 5th in the grand scheme of things: 1) Buc's Dline pressure all game (and a depleted o-line for the Chiefs) 2) Mahomes lack of accuracy at the beginning of the game (potentially due to injury) 3) Double high safeties by the bucs on 82% of plays to limit Hill and shrink the field 4) Gronk being the go-to on 3rd and short and the redzone killer 5) RB play to drain the clock towards the end of the game 6) Ref's calling the Chiefs physical style by the book 7) Buc's home game vibe There are 10-12 factors that played into this game - and I dont really believe the RB play was a factor until the second half (it was 21-6 at half)
  20. When Brady was screaming at his OC to keep five wide on the field at the end of the first half and proceeded to score because he knew exactly what he wanted to run and how he would capitalize against the Chiefs D.... It was the time where I sat back and just had to appreciate seeing greatness. His OC wanted to change personnel, but Brady has full reign and showed he is the best to ever do it. And then cements that he was in Mathieu's head by jawing at him. The game was over.
  21. The Bucs just ran a similar concept to the Bills in their approach against the Chiefs. High safeties to take away the deep ball and keep Mahomes from breaking the game in one play. The difference was at the D line and Linebacker positions. Lavonte David played great coverage on Kelce in the first half. White brought physicality and swarmed anything on the perimeter. He was able to track guys like Hill and hardmen. At the D line, their front 4 was able to push the pocket back. You saw how often Mahomes broke the pocket, and by the third quarter he was LOOKING to do so. Mahomes was actually rattled this game. The first time in his career he was rattled. He looked like a rookie Josh allen in there. They played soft zone more in the second half, but kept everything in front of them and their dline was able to bring pressure.
  22. It took KC SIX years to lose in the conference championship. If Reid is sitting in Sean's spot after year 4, he is talking about how their team is struggling to get passed the divisional round, not "we just took a team to 13 wins and the AFC championship game". It is completely justifiable for Mcd to at least mention that these things take time, and it is hard to win in this league. I'd love to see what this board would have been like if we were KC in 2016. Some people just can't be happy...
  23. People need to breath. We didnt lose to an 8-8 wild card team. Kansas City is likely going to be the best team in the 2020's, and the next super dynasty. The Bills laid out a plan that did not work effectively. It happens. White was average last night. Didnt make amazing plays, wasn't schooled to death either. You could tell they were hoping the line would get pressure on Mahomes, and we would be able to feast on contested throws downfield. Unfortunately our line couldnt get pressure, and Travis Kelce sat down in the zone PERFECTLY in the first half. Mahomes had easy throws because Kelce is the best TE in football. I thought our secondary played admirably, our LBs let us down, and our d-line failed us. You could see KC was successful dinking and dunking to start, and when we had to adjust to try and get more pressure, they were able to attack the intermediate routes and their stars took the game over. White was probably the 3rd or 4th best defender last night.
  24. My thoughts Resign/Tender: Roberts - Extremely valuable to our Special Teams Milano - My second most important FA resign Williams - My most important FA resign Wallace - I believe is an RFA McKenzie - Use him in motion, jet sweeps, could be our return guy in a year or two depending on Roberts T. Jones - Special Teams Ace Marlowe - Underrated on this board. Steps in admirably when Hyde/Poyer go down and knows the system Dont resign: Kroft - not enough impact and was scratched often Murphy - Not worth the money/invest in drafted DE Norman - Not worth the money/bring up Dane Jackson Nsekhe - Isnt needed Feliciano - Ford can replace him at RG for cheap - would sign him as a backup but I doubt he would take that little to retain Winters - Again, COULD be backup at a low value but I doubt we would get him for a price I would be ok with Barkley - Let Fromm backup and invest the money elsewhere Yeldon - I dont mind him, but this is a loaded FA class, see who sits and can be scooped up late Andre Smith (although if he could be had at the min. I would do it)
