  1. Young legs are important now. DBs are learning how to deal with the lack of holding allowed, and players are being more physical at the line. Layered routes are important, and young legs to get that late burst to create necessary separation are vital
  2. What adjustments were you thinking about going into the second half? I’d have to watch the game again to understand what Brady did or didn’t do
  3. All three deep shots were dropped by our WRs. It wasn't that we didnt try, it was that it wasn't working, and that falls on our personnel. Not Brady. Brady called a great gameplan to give the team a chance to win. Diggs went 3 for 8 on targets, with 2-3 critical drops. Sherfield dropped 2 deep shots. Brady did everything you want as an OC - established a run game, controlled time of possession, provided multiple reads and outlets for his QB, and gave his #1 wideout 8 chances to catch the ball and another 2 handoffs. That's not cowardness, it's maturity. Of course, we can be the Chargers, who let Herbert throw the ball 50 times a game and miss the playoffs entirely...
  4. What does that even mean? Josh Allen touched the ball almost every play on that last 14 play drive
  5. I dont know what you were watching, but the Bills put up 368 yards on the Chiefs, the second most this season. They should have put up 27 points, tied for the most allowed by the Chiefs all year. And that's with clear DROPs by WRs Brady came in, implemented a very successful run game, and went 7-2. That's exactly what we needed. Oh BTW, his only losses were the Eagles (where we put up 34 points) and this playoff game. Brady SHOULD be back, and I expect him to be.
  6. I dont understand how we get to use injuries as an excuse to why wins against those teams aren't meaningful, but we can't acknowledge how DECIMATED our defense was last night - and last year.
  7. Then we dont grow as a team. Purely being a pessimist and ignoring any positives from the year limit growth potential of this team. Purely being an optimist limits growth as well. Understanding the nuance of the year with a level head provides the detailed insight we need on how to improve.
  8. Milano and Bernard being out HURT Klein missed the coverage pass from Taron Johnson on the 2nd play for the Chiefs (the Rice catch in the flat that went for 25+) Klein couldn't cover Kelce and allowed a nice post catch in the first half Dodson and Klein were average at best against Pacheco on the second level Dorian needs more time, he struggled as well Dodson looked frustrated pre snap multiple times as well, and Bernard has been lauded as a great communicator pre snap Really missed this guys, unfortunate that we didnt have them at the most important time
  9. This team can make it to the playoffs with sub par play at certain areas, but we need to evaluate what kills us against the top teams. That's WR and DL. I expect a WR in either round 1 or 2, and a DL/S in 3 or 4
  10. I take Allen ripping that ball in the endzone on 2nd and 9 all day. Dawkins was pushed into him via Chris Jones, but if Allen steps into that throw its a TD. And I say that, because I fully expect Allen to march down the field and give his team a shot if KC scores with 25 seconds left. He is that type of talent. Injuries killed this defense. Same as last year. Douglas was hurt, Klein on Kelce just didnt work, but who are you going to put on him instead? Cam Lewis? Siran Neal? A rookie Dorian Williams? Not having Milano/Bernard/Benford hurt big time. Not having White hurt. This league is about getting hot and HEALTHY at the right time, and while we were hot, we weren't healthy. Regardless, the biggest disappointment today was Diggs. I dont put the loss on any single player, but Diggs did not do what he needs to do as a top tier #1 receiver. He lacked separation, dropped a few balls, missed a crucial long ball that hit his hands. I know a lot of people said Diggs may be fed up with Allen's hero ball, but Allen gave Diggs the chance to catch or carry the ball 10 times today, and it resulting in 3 catches for 21 yards and I believe another 9-10 on the ground. Just not good enough from your top boundary talent
  11. Funny looking at this post after Bass missed a field goal from the KC 27...
  12. injuries to Benford and Bernard hurt us. Forced Klein into a coverage role, and took away our coverage abilities on passing downs
  13. Being bad and causing losses are two different things. Brocos game was LOST due to special teams having 12 men. Allen played poorly, but gave his team the lead jets game Allen LOST because he played poorly AND caused a 3 and out AND caused a direct turnover with his inability to handle a snap which allowed the Jets to take the lead mahomes caused a loss because he threw a very poor pick six and handoff fumble and couldn’t manage his team down the field in any capacity. Broncos game was more of a team loss with a special teams disaster. To me that’s not a loss ON Allen
  14. Both Allen and Mahomes “lost” one game for their team this season (Allen Jets and Mahomes Raiders) allen and Mahomes had very similar passing statistics this season, with Allen having a profoundly better rushing season. to your point, Mahomes amps up running in the postseason, but the MVP is a focus on the regular season. i agree that Lamar will win the MVP, but if Lamar doesn’t exist, Allen is likely top3 in MVP, Mahomes might not be top 10
  15. Lamar is going to win with the worst MVP winning statistical season in 15+ years
  16. I think it was more nuanced than just abandoning to launch deep shots. Dolphins came out running early, but ran the same scheme as they did against the Bills, who showed how you can stop it with single high. After a few drives of long third downs due to poor running on first and second, they started to abandon early down runs in favor of motion passing... which also didnt work. Then they obviously aren't running on a3rd and 10, so at that point the run game was taken out of the gameplan altogether. I agree, it was poor gameplan and their coach has shown to take out the run game if it isn't working quite quickly in the past. But he didn't decide to just start launching shots downfield because he wanted to. He wasn't getting any movement on early downs with the run game, so he overadjusted into this pass heavy offense that also didnt work.
  17. The Dolphins ran the same concepts in the run game against the Chiefs as they did with us in Week 18. That scheme was solved by playing the single high and dropping a safety down. With the weather limiting the passing game, and Tua being completely unable to handle the pressure of the day, it was an easy decision. When the Bills ran the single high, I believe the Dolphins had 3 carries for 7 yards. Very easy to defend once identified. The Chiefs abused Kohou, who was AWFUL yet again for Miami. If Douglas and Benford go, I expect us to shield Rice quite well.
  18. That's just factually not true. Knox is not a + catcher, but he isn't a 1 for 11 type of player. I believe he is at 60% catch rate for the season. Also, he is a ++ blocker, and is a necessity in this offense.
  19. Travis has 2 years left after this one. Gives him a chance to continue to run with Mahomes, and will then peace out. Jason had a great career, will be interesting to see what other Eagles retire after their embarrassing effort yesterday.
  20. Third time asking now, do you feel the same way about fake kneel downs and fake spikes? Are they as damaging to the game as a fake slide? Or are we selective in this logic?
  21. I’d like to understand where “deception” or aspect of a fake limits apply in your logic. If the goal is to stop people from taking advantage of a rule where the result is a stoppage, do you want to remove fake spikes and fake kneel downs as well? Or does it only matter for a move that Allen pulled off today and benefited from?
  22. Elam was the most important play, Allen’s was the most impressive. There are two QBs who take that run to the house, him and Lamar.
  23. Eagles defense looks slow and wayyy too reactive
  24. So why aren’t their penalties for fake spikes? or fake kneel downs
  25. Dak just doesn’t do well once he is nervous
