Bateman has to work harder to draw more contact there. He didn’t finish the route well by fighting through the contact to create more physicality -

Go for two. You bring Henry in to give you the best chance at scoring within the 2. RPO or quick designed play to use his or Lamar’s legs -

I mean, if he is taking jokes about his lanky build as serious enough to comment every time he does something, even when that thing is a complete breakdown by the defense, it’s going to be an annoying season of posts on this board… -

The ravens werent trying to keep him short. You let him go assuming you have coverage overtop. Are you really trying to use a pass off coverage designed to let a player go as a reason for Worthy being amazing? Cmon now -

Raves defense with an inexcusable blown coverage. What are they doing there. Humphrey passes worthy off without a safety anywhere near him…. -

Lamar floats a ball to likely that he needs to fire a dart for… leading to an almost pick, and then when flowers has his man beat, he tries to drive a ball which allows Watson to close and make a play. MVP my assssss -

He is an amazing coach. Rice is Beasley on steroids. And Reid knows how to use him so well -

That had been him every year. He can’t process multiple reads and layers consistently. the tipped pass at the goaline to the RB was similar to Tarons pick six from a few years ago. “Let me stare the guy on the route for three seconds until I throw it…” -

I thought Allen was a divisive figure in the eyes of the world… Lamar is great to some and awful to others… I think he is overrated, but good thing Jason Garrett is saying he has a look in his eyes… -

Worthy will be able to excel in an Andy Reid offense. With that said, it’s week 1. Let’s give it a half a season before we jump off the ledge on Worthy. can the body hold up for a season? He can run as fast as he wants week 1, it won’t mean anything if his body doesn’t hold up. It’s what made Hill such a unique talent -

He made a nice throw to flowers, but he also was lucky the DB didn’t have his head turned when he threw that duck to Flowers that drew the PI -

Chiefs defense isn’t what it was last year, similar to the Bills having a change in their offense. Will be interesting to see how they do this year -

Jackson just doesn’t impress me when I watch him…. How did he win the MVP last year? -
Joe Marino: 1/4 of Bills 2024 salary cap is dead cap!

Next year will be an interesting off-season. Beane will evaluate the roster this year, figure out of Shakir is a top 2 WR, does Coleman break into the league well and flash, does Kincaid that that next step blocking. Can Mcgovern handle center duties? Can Dorian Williams or another young guy be a capable LB, do we have talent in Elam? If a few of these guys hit, Beane can work Knox/Miller/Milano out and use that money to bring in that next wave of talent for Allen and co to try to win with. I'd expect 1-2 big names coming into this team next year. Beane bit the bullet now, to evaluate and give this team a better shot in a year. -
I posted an analysis earlier this year, where I showed that Beane is one of the best in the league at finding NFL talent in the draft and UDFA. He understands which traits turn players into NFL talent.

Makes sense for Miami. They have had some success under him, and his high points are high (top scoring offense). They are banking on him being better with the defense, and being able to maintain that top end ability on offense. If they dont extend him, what else do they do? Bank on another HC? I dont think they have another option
-
It’s understandable why they like Coleman so much then. Chris long made a comment the other day that teams are playing so much zone against Allen because he kills man coverage. i see if I can find the stats
-
If Allen goes down, they will sign Tanny or another guy for the rest of the year. Mitch is on the roster, and will be here most likely for the entirety of the year. Backup QB is an area you dont worry about until that problem is in your face. Allen has shown to be incredibly durable, and you need to bank on that. If he goes down, then you evaluate and make a decision, because Mitch/Tanny aren't bringing this team to the playoffs no matter what.

Postgame thread (8/17/24) - Bills at Steelers
Cray51 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lots of QBs have looked bad this preseason. Defenses have evolved to where very few can really implement a timing and rhythm offense. fields and Wilson both looked very bad in pocket -
Great compliment to Cook. Keeps cook fresh and lets us run the ball more consistently
-
If he is willing to take Mcds coaching, he could be something. He moved well laterally. Tried to watch him in coverage but missed most instances. I do like his motor a ton. Reminded me of Milano attacking the hole

Bills @ Steelers - Preseason Game 2 - Sat 8/17 7PM

Or, they used the TO to double down with the players that Fields absolutely isn’t handing off on an RPO and we were able to stop them with ease…
