  1. I think he is. What's not to like about his game? Good instincts, can play physical and just looks the part out there.
  2. Well I did say I'll give it more time.... the title of this thread is "first impression", so that's my first impression. Not saying he can't/won't contribute, just haven't been impressed so far.
  3. I'm not impressed with Cook, but I'll give him some more time. At this point I'll take Motor and Moss in our backfield
  4. Although it's only 2 games, we've been dominant. Offense, Defense and Special Teams. We look great in all aspects but what I'm most excited about is in the trenches, on both sides of the ball. O-Line looks good but our D-Line looks unbelievable! We're pushing guys around out there.
  5. I'm not scared of anyone anymore, but there will be some tough games
  6. Love this guy! I liked Daboll but I like Dorsey more
  7. They could've figured out a way to keep him and let Star go. I'd rather have JP over Star any day of the week. Either way, luckily we got him back now.
  8. He signed with Arizona for 3 years $30MM, that's not overpaying for JP IMO. Especially when you look at the guarantee number ($18.5MM) on that contract. Buffalo should've matched that. I agree with you on the other point, Phillips was just as much of the star on the DL Thursday.
  9. Jordan is a beast, never should've let him go to Arizona.
  10. 2018 draft is arguably the greatest draft in our team history
  11. Not saying that Levi played it well, I agree with you Levi, you were part of the problem. That being said the coaches deserve more of the blame in those 13 seconds. The defense that was called was wrong. Levi was almost 10 yards off the line at the snap on a TE! What a joke. I don't care about him saying the comment about the fans because he was talking about how they took their communication for granted, not the fans in general.
  12. I voted B- and am very surprised by the national media giving us such high grades. I'm happy with Elam in the first, but not sure about the rest. This draft was noted as being deep in OL and especially interior OL. So why not add a mid-rounder G/C pick?? I like our current starters on the OL but there's nothing wrong with young depth at those positions.
  13. Like everyone else don't love giving up a 4th but if Elam turns out to be a starter no one is going to care
  14. C'mon man. Bates is the real deal and prior to week 16 of last year he was under-utilized by our coaching staff, should've been starting a long time ago. He's got the ability to be a very good starting G for us for years to come
  15. I've always believed in Bates. He's so quick off the snap and using his hands. This a great signing....he's only gonna get better.
  16. So happy right now! Beaner you're the man, go Bills!
  17. We have until Tuesday, 3PM Central Time
  18. I hear ya....considering our available cap space, what are our other options? Also why do you say "mid-round rookie"? We'll most likely be drafting a CB in the first 3 rounds
  19. I'm hoping/praying Tre will be ready week 1
  20. I'm a big supporter of keeping Bates and will fully admit to being a homer. I just have a lot of belief in his ability and future. Hoping that the more time that passes with this 5-day deadline....is a good sign and indicates Beaner is trying to make it work. I mean if it was a ridiculous number that CHI offered our FO might've said, forget it right away right? Again this could be just wishful thinking on my part, we'll see.
  21. Dane and a couple of draft picks will compete for the CB2 spot, Dane will be their front runner to win the job. At this point, we don't have the cap space for a high priced FA
  22. What is overpaying for Bates? Some here think that $4MM is overpaying, I disagree. The average G in the NFL makes approx $4MM/year. Given the versatility/performance I'd put Bates slightly ahead of that figure at about $5MM/year as a fair price. The sample size is small so yes, you're taking a bit of risk, but there's risk in every contract. I believe in Bates and his future. He's young, versatile, fits our pass heavy scheme, good already and I believe will only get better
  23. Not sure if Turner would be cheap....I read his contract projection to be ballpark $6 Mill / year
  24. I think it'll be more than that....probably more like $5-7 million/year range.
