  1. I unfortunately watched some of this game. Bad football all around. Bears remind me of drought Bills. Panthers somehow worse than drought Bills. Just bad bad football. Frank Reich looks like he's averaging two packs of Marlboro 100s per day. I feel bad for DJ Moore.

Now we just need him to stop trying to dive over every defender in his path. I appreciate the extra effort but getting himself upended like in the cinci game is going to result in more fumbles.

No its not. The other defender made a hell of a play that is very low %.  Kincaid did nothing wrong.

I get that the defender made a hell of a play. I get that a defender punching the ball out is low %. I appreciate that. But you can't tell me that going airborne doesn't increase the risk of fumbling compared to a player who keeps both hands on the ball and is tackled routinely. I'm not saying don't jump ever, but at the moment in the game, it wasn't the smartest decision from a ball security standpoint.

It sucks because the route he ran to get open was elite:

The past couple games he has become the clear #2 in this passing offense. Next step is make Shakir the #3 and I think we could have something here.

I'm with you. I'm stoked about the kid. Hopefully a strong learning moment for him.

I don't disagree. All I'm saying is that it was easier for the defender to make that play because Dalton was head-over-heels with one hand on the ball. I'm not saying stop trying to get the extra yards, but have a little more situational awareness to know when ball security is more important than a few extra yards.

Yeah, and it did have a big impact on our game, potentially costing us it. We had the momentum and if we had scored, who knows how Cincy would have responded.

In that moment, Dalton Kincaid was a brick and as Chongli will tell you, "brick no hit back."

That was a fluke. The defender punched the ball out perfectly. Just a good defensive play.

I really hope Hyde hangs them up after this year for his and Bills sake. I would hate for us to be tempted to bring him back and personally it seems like he is one hit away from being truly physically broken. Both him and Poyer have been amazing to watch but it’s time

Yeah, I've really enjoyed watching so many of these guys on this roster play over the past 5-6 years. It really is starting to feel like the end for this version of the Bills. This group of players have been so easy and fun to root for that it really is a drag that they didn't get it done (maybe a miracle happens this year?). Regardless, it's been fun and I'm grateful for that.

  6. I always got this vibe from Jim Harbaugh that he liked cocaine, like, really liked cocaine. And I just don't know if that's the kind of energy we need around Josh Allen.

Is this a slanderous statement about Jim Harbaugh? I don't know. Maybe? But didn't he punch Jim Kelly once? And didn't he used to slap Alex Smith in the helmet a whole bunch before 49ers games? According to this board, Josh Allen has already had 53 concussions and he doesn't need Jim Harbaugh ringing his bell before Sunday Night Football.

The tough part I have with Poyer/Hyde is that you have to replace them. We don’t have money, and I’d like to commit the first 3 picks of the draft to WR, OT, and C. I think they’ll likely keep one and give Rapp and extension for the other.

I'm not even sure I'd be confident that Poyer or Hyde would be able to give you a full season next year. I'm afraid Poyer's arm is going to fall off every time he makes a tackle, and Hyde seems like he could be one unlucky hit away from being done for good (and luck has not been on our side as of late).

Question for everyone here, name me all the Franchise QBs who’s coaches were fired and what the future was for those QBs?

Blowing up the Bills organization likely starts the end of Josh Allen in Buffalo.

John Elway and Phil Simms are the only two examples of QBs who won Super Bowls after coaching changes. Elway lost 3 Super Bowls with Gibbs as coach in the 80s and it wasn't until Shanahan was hired that Elway won. Simms had been the Giants QB for 4 seasons with little success. Parcells was hired in 83 and they won the Super Bowl in 86.

    It's not very inspiring.

But it's not any better for teams that held onto 1 head coach for a long time...

Bill Cowher and Andy Reid are the only examples. Cowher had coached the Steelers for over a decade but didn't get over the hump until drafting Big Ben. Andy Reid had sustained success in KC for 4 years but didn't get over the hump until drafting Mahomes.

At this point, something has to change for the Bills, and it's either McDermott or Allen.

  9. Watching the game last night, I kept thinking that this version of the Bills looks burned out. It's written on their faces and in their energy. They have the look of a fighter that knows they have lost the fight and are just trying to not get knocked out. Even McDermott looks completely burned out.

This roster needs a reset. And I think you've got to strongly consider bringing in an offensive head coach with a new staff that can potentially maximize Josh Allen's talent. New energy, new team, new belief that they can win. If they're lucky, they can flip the roster in 2 years and have a new window open in 3 years. Because I think Josh Allen has 3–5 years left. And with his style of play, I fear that it's probably closer to 3 years before his physical tools really decline.
