This guy "claims" to know something everyone else doesn't (thru Joshs GF text messages to his friend)...

claiming Josh getting PRP treatment/partially torn UCL...which is likely bogus.  He's also borderline unstable, with his responses to others.  Take it for what it's worth.

Christian McZaffrey is a liar. You heard it here first.

Jake Delhomme's arm at its best was about 25% as good as Allen's... but hey, maybe there's the chance of a surgery mishap that turns Josh Allen into Henry Rowengartner, allowing him to throw 100 yard dimes that hit Gabe Davis in the facemask and fall to the turf incomplete.

The point is more that the UCL isn't used very much in the throwing of a football by a QB so a UCL injury for an NFL QB is far less of an issue than for an MLB pitcher

    Sheesh, guys. I get it.

That's not really the point.  The point is Delhomme recovered and could play the next season.  This was 15 years ago too.

The point definitely landed. I'm just coping through humor... and failing at it

Tommy John surgery for an NFL QB is not near the recovery time that it is for an MLB pitcher. In fact, if Allen would have to have it, he would miss this season which would suck but would be back at full strength next Fall.

Jake Delhomme had TJ surgery years ago and said he felt as good as new in 6 months and played the next season and led the Panthers to a 12-4 record.

Bringing up one of the great urban myths in Biils history.  Trent Edwards best game was his first game back after the Cardinals game concussion.   He was just not that good and was not able to adjust to how defenses played him.

    100% This.

I really think that Cleveland Monday night game where he threw something like 5 first half interceptions was what turned him into captain check down. Dude just had no confidence after that. But again, he really never was that good, and seemingly never actually liked playing football all that much. Dude always seemed like he would have much rather been at a Dodgers game.

We had a minute and a half to get into field goal range.  Our offense was completely gassed and we blew it.  No need to over analyze.

Agreed... not to mention the fact that we had the ball in the red zone multiple times in the 2nd half and couldn't score a single touchdown. The ball control plan was amazing—until it backfired in the 2nd half. I am convinced that Josh short-armed that ball to McKenzie because he had absolutely nothing left in the tank.

McDermott had nothing but praise for Von Roten and Josh said the he bobbled the snap just before halftime.  Not sure how Mancz did as the 3rd center.

What else happened that made you think this?

I don't know if Van Roten is rotten but I saw more than enough errant shotgun snaps from him against Tennessee to not feel great when I found out he was starting against Miami. There were definitely some issues with snaps during the Miami game... not sure if that was purely on Van Roten or if everything was just soaked with sweat. Either way, Morse is critical to this line and we desperately need him back this week.

I said this another thread, but dropping it here as well:

    • Micah Hyde was a 5th round pick who never earned a full starting role in Green Bay. In McDermott's and Frazier's defense he shined.
    • Jordan Poyer was drafted in the 200s and was primarily a backup journeyman to start his career. In McDermott's and Frazier's defense he shined.
    • Levi Wallace was a 7th round draft pick. Maybe he didn't shine, but In McDermott's and Frazier's defense he played well above his projection.
    • Christian Benford was a 6th round draft pick. It's still early, but In McDermott's and Frazier's defense, he looks like he will shine.

If there is any positional group on this team where I believe a significant injury can be weathered, it is the secondary. Jaquan Johnson has been in the system for 3 full years and learning behind two of the absolute best. He'll give up some plays and make some mistakes, but I have a feeling he is going to ball out in this defense. And if there's a drop off from Micah to Jaquan, I anticipate it only being a small drop-off.

I don't see them moving Benford or Jackson to safety... they like them too much at corner. This is Johnson's time to shine. If Johnson struggles, maybe they look to make a trade... but with the cap where it's at, I don't think they swing for any big name players.

But again, I've got a growing feeling that #4 is going to hit the ground running.

This also might just be me trying to make myself feel better lol.

  9. Most of the media reaction I have seen has been acknowledging that Tua is progressing but not wanting to overreact until they see it consistently from him. There's no denying that what Tua did in the 4th quarter was incredible... even if you want to point to the Ravens leaving guys wide open. Tua also made a number of clutch throws where he put the ball where only his guy could get it... including the game-winner to Waddle.

I think Tua is better than a lot of Bills fans want to admit. He can get the ball out quickly and can be very accurate. That said, he can also be rattled, lock on to one guy for too long, and has the occasional errant throw.

Josh Allen made some bad throws and missed some wide open guys in year 3. Josh Allen throw a 5-yard pass into the dirt on MNF last week. But it's very clear that Josh has transcended to a different level this year. The way he runs the offense and commands the line of scrimmage looks like Manning or even Brady. Add that to his absurd physical traits, and good luck stopping it.

No one in the media is claiming Tua is better than Josh. But with this Miami offense, Tua just has to get the ball out on time and accurately. They can win a lot of games that way with the speed they have, and they'll be a playoff team this year. Bring the pressure and get him rattled. He'll make mistakes.
