  1. If you really are a long time Bills fan then you should know by now that you NEVER go into a season optimistic.
  2. Does this mean Diggs is no longer captain? Because that would go over well in the media...
  3. If it's that easy to open a window, why are we all freaking out about them closing?
  4. Talk about a window slamming shut.
  5. Coke Beasley could have been great if he would have just laid off the dang booger sugar.
  6. You're going to want to make sure you're seated and have a strong drink in hand when you get to the Bills / Steelers Preseason Week 2 Thread.
  7. When I played JV football, we had a coach that talked about "The Turk." But his "Turk" was that voice in your head that tells you to take it easy, loaf around, watch TV, and be lazy. Disappointed that this thread wasn't posted by you, coach.
  8. Could the story here be less about Elam and more about Benford being a gem of a pick? But I don't know anything so don't listen to me. Also, passing league. CB depth is good, right? Or would you rather have Jamarcus Ingram out there? (I know he had a nice little int today). Or worse, Cam Lewis?! No, no. Give me Elam as CB 3/4 and say, wow, that Benford kid keeps surprising!
  9. I think there's merit to this. Josh needs to protect himself from Josh. We've seen Josh play QB like Brady and Manning: reading the defense pre-snap, getting it to his hot reads quickly, and waiting for the perfect opportunities to take shots. He's done it. He has shown he's more than capable of doing it. But other times—for some reason—he just doesn't do it. Josh has to evolve. Has to. And he knows it. He's said as much. But, will he? That's TBD. And here's the thing—when Josh does read the defense and gets the ball out quickly the o-line starts looking better. It's give and take. Yes, the o-line needs to help Josh but Josh also needs to help the o-line.
  10. I agree this sounds like a decent approach in theory, but where were there cuts that could be made to accomplish this? The only think I can think of is maybe passing on re-signing Poyer? Unless you wanted to consider cutting a guy like Von already and taking a huge cap hit? I don't follow the dollars and cents side of the team, so I have no clue how that kind of approach would play out. Anyone up for presenting what a minor rebuild this past season might have looked like? 100% I have no idea how they could have accomplished that, which is why I'm not an NFL GM and give no illusion that I know the first thing about building a long-term competitive team.
  11. Life in the NFL comes at a team fast. For most of the summer, I felt really good about the offseason additions. Saturday was concerning. I think the Bills will still be good this year and be a playoff team. And if you're in the playoffs, you've got a shot. But, man, there's a part of me that feels like maybe the wiser move would have been to take an intentional step back this year to get younger and free up cap space for the next couple of years.
  12. Bills are doing that classic hustle thing where they pretend like they don't even know how to hold the pool cue and get themselves into a $10,000 game of pool only to start making trick shots left and right. That's what this is, right?
  13. I'm pretty sure that if you asked Phillip Rivers he would tell you that all of his kids were God's will. Now, whether or not God's will is problematic is another question.
  14. I don't like this red circle thing. Makes me think all of these updates are bad.
  15. At what point do we get a billboard made to let the decision makers know where we stand on this matter?
  16. So, Rex Ryan getting back on bandwagon or what?
  17. Can't spell Jet Ski without J-E-T-S. This was clearly a sabotage plot by gang green.
  18. It's almost like he completely forgot about the AFC East and then just stuck all 4 teams in there together, as a group—but not at the bottom because that would make it too obvious that he forgot.
  19. I took a crack at how the actual TE list should look, and unfortunately, I think this is very accurate. 1. Kelce . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2-10. Other guys that play TE
  20. Contract Extension is an odd way of spelling "hot seat."
  21. Which bozo, the one in the link or the OP? In the words of Sean McDermott: "yeah, I appreciate your question but I'm not going to get into that."
