Dion Dawkins Open Letter: Part 3
Southern_Bills replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I definitely get Dawkins point of view and why he sees it that way. More people are definitely in prison for bad decisions than being actual "bad people". Not sure how you separate bad decisions from bad people but there is definitely a difference. I will say anyone who grew up south of the poverty line probably recieved similar treatment in life. Same as growing up north of the poverty line. We always have certain individuals who give everyone a bad name but we will never fix all people, its impossible. -
It definitely did, look I think Tampas defense had one of the all time playoff runs at all 3 levels just to be clear, I credit most of it to Devin White. With that said though if you watch what David did to Kelce its hard to say the pass rush helped him there. Kelce could barely get off the LoS and when he did he was late on the route leaving Mahomes with no go-to outlet hence the running for his life.

If you rewatch the SB and focus on the David vs. Kelce match-up you will see the fact that David destroyed Kelce off the line helped the pass rush more than the other way around. Not to beat a dead horse because I'm all for another pass rusher but if you don't fix our interior DL and get a physical LB (maybe Edmunds can do it and we get a new MLB idk) it won't matter much who is coming off the edge against Mahomes and teams like that.

Sunday Ticket/Directv future
Southern_Bills replied to bigK14094's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really wish I could buy Sunday ticket as a stand alone. Using a VPN to pretend your in London so you can stream live games on Rewind is a pain in the butt. Still can't understand their reasoning (besides $$$) that if your overseas you get more service for the same price. -
In life I look at it like this, if your Facebook life is Excellent, your real life probably is sub par. I'm sure some people are exceptions to the rule, but it's still a good bet. My sister-in-law posts pictures of her dinner every night and how happy she is, clearly she isn't that satisfied or she would get off social media and just enjoy it. I'm kinda old school like that though.

Texans coaching staff on Watt - bitter or truthful?
Southern_Bills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It probably has some truth to it. I'm not sure it would remain true on a winning team, he was beyond bitter about his perceived ineptitude of Houston front office. Would he have an attitude problem somewhere that he felt was doing everything to win? Who knows. I do think he will find more frustration in the desert though. -
Only 2 teams put in requests to interview Daboll
Southern_Bills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Best thing he has going for him is the chemistry with this team's core players. Don't take it wrong, I think he can take us where we need to go if/when he figures out a running game. I'm not entirely sure his exodus from Alabama after 1 year was voluntary. He's a good fit for this team, though I do wonder if the running game is him and not the personnel. -
Trade up or trade back in this year’s draft?
Southern_Bills replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unless Pitts or someone like that slides your not trading up. I do however think they could stay at 30 and trade it away at the last second according on what's there. Good chance you could get an additional pick and still get Najee Harris, Wyatt Teller or someone of that assortment. -
Definitely sounds one sided. Which I know me personally if I own sports teams and I'm losing revenue like crazy because of "public safety concerns" but they find loopholes to do as they please for their events...I'm not happy. I'm not saying that as a slight towards military personnel as I respect them immensely. At some point though you have to live by the rules you set forth for your constituents. Apologies if that's too political/opinionated, just my take.

Carson Wentz to the Colts
Southern_Bills replied to Brennan Huff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I view this alot like when we got what a 6th for Darius? Pretty much the Colts were probably the only team interested because of the relationship the HC has with the player. Good move by both teams. Colts potentially get a QB for cheap and the Eagles "might" get a 1st and a 2nd for a player most wouldn't touch. -
Karen wants an apology from Brady.
Southern_Bills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's only applied to white females, sure they have derogatory terms for other races of females as well but Karen seems to be the only term you can use openly and not be labeled a biggot. I'm not trying to make this a racism thread though, it's just an observation. -
Defenses led Brady to his last two rings
Southern_Bills replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Devin White was the true MVP, but I'm not here to knock Brady. -
Karen wants an apology from Brady.
Southern_Bills replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the term "Karen" is the most racist/hypocritical term going today. It literally calls out a person for nothing more than something based on their race/sex. But, yes this woman is silly, she should worry about other things. -
Jeremy Pruitt fired for cause Univ. Of TN is a mess
Southern_Bills replied to BuffaloBill's topic in College Football
Smartest move in his career. LB coach at Ohio state will lead to opportunities and you don't want to waste it on Tennessee. I admit I'm biased against Tennessee, but even all that aside, Tennessee is probably the worst D1 coaching gig going right now. They have difficulty recruiting talent, all the talent they managed to scrape together is transferring, and they are going on sanctions. The entire football program will be place holders for when they get off sanctions. -
It's hard to say win/lose off one guys performance. Though I will say we wouldn't have been as successful against the read option without him. Also Beane had no clue the salary cap would bottom out. I think the criticism is out of line.

The same Trent Murphy who was instrumental in the gameplan to shut Lamar Jackson down in the playoffs 🤔 That makes sense my bad
