Continuity is great, good players and good coaching may win out though. The Chiefs have good/great coaching, thankfully the Bills do as well so we are by no means an afterthought. I don't believe the Chiefs will fail because if this though, week 8 they will be in SB form. Bills better bring the A game to the playoffs.

Dan Campbell wants a live Lion at Detroit pratices.
Southern_Bills replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Poor Detroit, and poor Goff. I see a paper bag shortage in Detroit soon if they allow full attendance at their games. -
I was young in the early 90s teams, like preteen. Always enjoyed Thurman, he did kind of rub me the wrong way one time speaking of the abuse and what not he put himself through, and I know he did. I just can't help but thinking of the blue collar guy killing themselves at plants and whatnot that don't make generational wealth doing it. Doesn't really tarnish my memories of him as a player. He has a right to feel the way he feels.

ESPN insider picks Buffalo Bills to win Super Bowl
Southern_Bills replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, it would be interesting to have a "home" SB team 2 years in a row when it never happened previously. Btw, if the media are hacks when they don't pick the Bills, they are still hacks when they do. -
Does Gregory Rousseau need "redshirt" year?
Southern_Bills replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear you, I tend to believe the same, you have to have a partner to trade down though. Considering his first 2 picks though it was clear he was taking the best pass rushers regardless, which is good. Hopefully Epenesa will make a leap this year. -
Does Gregory Rousseau need "redshirt" year?
Southern_Bills replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am aware of college rules but not his situation. From the information you just put out there it sounds like he got money from a sports agent, Drew Rosenhaus, which would make him ineligible per NCAA rules. IDK if he's good enough or not, McBeane thinks he is I suppose. Sitting the year out won't make or break him though. -
I could see them losing those games for sure but at the same time I have immense respect for Sean Payton. He is one of the best coaches at winning with what he has. Brees was not a great QB last year so we will see.

Will fans returning affect team play?
Southern_Bills replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This question is similar to "should I have another beer?" Maybe, maybe not, but we are definitely going to find out. -
Seems like no one wants to make the call. The NFL wants to leave it up to teams and teams want to leave it to local/state government. Seems like it will be left wide open to anyone with a ticket, no one wants to be the bad guy. *Disclaimer* Nothing I say on this topic is my personal feelings just what I *think* is actually happening.

Considering I'm only 3 hours away (slightly less) and I'm not sure what I'm doing Thanksgiving, I'm going with the wait and see. Usually NO only cares when they are winning, other times tickets are cheap. I think they will decrease in value, but who knows.

It's a fun city, just be careful when down in the French quarters and what not. If you leave the entertainment district on accident it gets rough fast. As far as the stadium, not a bad seat in the house. I only live 3ish hours from there, race my car over there so I'm over there a good bit.

Can one be TOO INTO Buffalo?
Southern_Bills replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never wear things that have logos on them. I'm a wierdo, clothing company, team, etc. Nothing. -
Miami to release CB Bobby McCain.

If the line "The GM signs players not Flores" is true and somehow they are not on the same page, fire one of them now. The GM and the coach should definitely be on the same page for the 53 man roster, especially on large contracts. Tua was good at Bama but never proved to be dependable, always hurt. He also lost some games he didn't have to with bad decision making. We will see how his stint with the Dolphins goes. -
Crazy to me people even attempt to grade a draft that quickly. Not a Brady fan, but they were hopeful he could be a serviceable backup to Bledsoe when he was drafted. I guess that worked out for them.

Mac Jones vs Zach Wilson
Southern_Bills replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Zach Wilson, basically because he plays for the Jets. The Jets can and will destroy anything or anyone they touch. The Patriots at least have Josh McDaniels (despicable human but good coach) that can make an offensive gamelan around what he has available. Maybe Saleh changes the Jets but I wouldn't put my paycheck on it. -
Quinnen Williams out 8-10 weeks
Southern_Bills replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Williams isn't all that, he wasn't even at alabama. He's good don't get me wrong but he isn't a game changer. -
Is Jerry Hughes a future Wall of Famer?
Southern_Bills replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he is, of course he will be downgraded somewhat because he hasn't won very much. -
Let's revisit and grade 2017 draft
Southern_Bills replied to No_Matter_What's topic in The Stadium Wall
3 high level starters in one draft? That's a win. This is of course only possible Because they got Allen/Edmunds the next year mainly because of the Mahomes trade. 17/18 will forever be tied together, though it's hard to say how Mahomes would have done early with the roster we had, and we will never know. -
I'm in the minority but I've never understood this line of thinking, and I'm sure someone will tell me I'm wrong for mine. If the kid can play who cares? Chances of a player getting to a second contract is a crap shoot anyways. Montez Sweat was passed for this same reason, he's doing pretty well on the WFT. Maybe he doesn't play 12 years, these concerns would weigh heavier to me on second contracts not so much rookie deals.

So, what's the plan at RB?
Southern_Bills replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hand them the ball, that's the plan. I'd assume.
