  1. Man, I hope Micah Hyde can play tomorrow.
  2. While he maybe shouldn’t have made the comment, it’s being a bit overblown. He may have thought we were going to have a similar strategy to the Chiefs to stop a high scoring Seahawks team. PC adjusting and the defense getting to JA more in the 2nd half shows that he’s not “stupid”. That said, like someone else said, we adjusted too (which was great). I’m no PC fan but to Hapless’ point, with PC’s track record, can you really say that he’s “stupid”? Bone headed mistakes and decisions from time to time, sure. Poorly called games from time to time, sure. What coach doesn’t? “Stupid”? Nah.
  3. I see where you’re coming from. If the situation in a game rightly called for McD to be a bit conservative, that’s fine with me. I guess I would call that playing wisely though, not playing not to lose. We may be saying similar things, just calling it something different. Playing not to lose is a mindset you just don’t want to teach your players to have and falls into a different category, in my opinion. Appreciate the back and forth, MJS.
  4. I agree with you that there are different approaches and strategies that you have to take to win. It’s a week to week, matchup to matchup league. That said, you can’t play not to lose. There’s a difference between playing wisely and playing not to lose. Playing not to lose changes a team’s mentality way too much. It’s too passive of an approach and it’s just isn’t going to win you many ballgames.
  5. Wow, bro! What would you do for a Super Bowl win? 🤣
  6. Yup, good thoughts! There's just some things you just can't measure.
  7. You literally took the words right out of my mouth.
  8. I agree, MJS. Very easy to root for. Yup! 25 years in the making. Woohoo!!!
  9. I love it too. You can tell the difference lately especially in the last game. Man, even if they don’t get back to last year‘s form, if they could peak at the right time, watch out!
  10. So the Raiders are trash even though they beat the Chiefs? i’m not saying that their world beaters but come on man!
  11. Time will tell with Tua. I do believe that he’s in a better situation than Darnold though. Because he’s in a better situation, he could have the necessary time to grow like JA did. I said this in another thread but, while first impressions die hard, it’s a sports analyst job to get beyond original narratives and first impressions. It still seems like some have not let go of their initial impression or narrative of Josh. Also, there will always be a few out there that just never like a certain player or team no matter how good they become. It’s crazy though. As Buffalo Timmy said, the Tua hype is absurd.
  12. Easy, Frank Reich. Do the Reich thing! Really? Why didn’t you like JK? Not asking defensively, just curious.
  13. I agree with you. How could they even say that after Tua has played two games? Time will tell which one will be the best, but especially with the season JA is having, it’s crazy that they’re saying it. Also, JA took us to the playoffs so he has some evidence on his side. Tua doesn’t have the evidence yet, plus one of his games was terrible!
  14. Royale, I agree. I was surprised to see that too. Maybe our defense is turning the corner at least in some ways.
  15. Yeah, there’s always going to be those few that just don’t like a certain player or team no matter what the said player or team does. As the old saying goes, “you can’t please everyone“.
  16. Thanks for sharing. I wasn’t thinking of Reggie white but should’ve been. I still think you can say that, along with Reggie White, Bruce Smith was the best at his position.
  17. One of the advantages of McD believing in veteran leadership, even if it doesn’t always translate on the field for that veteran player.
  18. I guess the tortoise wins the race (not saying Bruce was slow)? That’s completely shocking especially with him being the best at his position.
  19. Oh, I totally get what you’re saying. Especially with the K-Gun offense.
  20. Yup! I get that first impressions die hard, but as sports analysts, it’s their job to go beyond first impressions and original narratives. Like many, I didn’t like the Josh Allen pick. That said, it was apparent even in his first year that he could be special.
