As most of us know, the drought from 2000 to 2016 was brutal. That’s why we even say things like PTSD when something bad happens. Heck, it became so much a part of us that we came up with our own bills way to say it, “BBFS”. Obviously though, it’s been different lately. We have been in the playoffs the last three out of four years, won some playoff games, went to the AFC championship game, just signed our franchise guy through 2028. Heck, even the national narrative is starting to change. So, here’s my questions. Because the BBFS was so strong, when did your perspective of the team and your BBFS start to change? Also, do you still struggle with BBFS or has the recent success changed that overall? For me, it started with the Cowboys game in 2019. It was like, “Oh, wow, we were on the road on the national stage and beat a decent/good team.” It was cemented last season with our eight game winning streak. It feels great to once again be heading into a season, barring major injuries, that we’re a force to be reckoned with. It feels great going into games (most games) feeling like we will win instead of hoping that we will. Would love to hear your thoughts as well, Bills Mafia. Let’s go Buffalo!

Yes we have. Feels great! What’s cool is, if he plays out his contract, he will be tied with Jim Kelly for the amount of seasons they’ve played in Buffalo. JK - ‘86-‘96, JA - ‘18-‘28 Hopefully he’ll play at a high-level for us for even longer. How about at least ‘18-‘38. Franchise QB, baby! Go JA!! Go Bills!!!

I definitely see what you’re saying. Analysts often cling to their draft analysis way too long. And, I thought that many held on to their narratives about Allen for too long for awhile. That said, I don’t think that’s the case with Allen anymore. I think most have warmed to him. I believe he should be in tier one but most just want to see sustained success. Four out of the five top tier one QBs do have Super Bowl titles. So, it could be that they want their tier one QBs to at least have been to a Super Bowl but I don’t think it has anything to do with narratives anymore. There may be a few that still feel that way, but overall, I believe he’s beyond that now.

I have done Sunday ticket for years but I’m thinking about doing game pass this year. Many times I don’t get to watch it until after it’s over anyway. Question for you. When you go to watch the game after it’s done, does it reveal the scores? Or, is there a way to not have them show scores if they do reveal scores?

The pre-season is like Thanksgiving. Being at Thanksgiving time means Christmas is around the corner. Thanksgiving is still a great holiday but it doesn’t compare to Christmas (at least for me). Same with pre-season. It’s great, it just doesn’t compare to the regular season. BUT it’s almost Christmas. “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” Go Bills!

Love the stories. Great topic, OP! My friend gave me two suite tickets for the Toronto series game against the Falcons. Me and my cousin go to the game. I’m the only fan (if I recall correctly) that had a JK jersey on in the suite. Mind you the odds since there was the capability to have 40,000 to 50,000 fans in the stadium. In walks JK into the suite and he sits right next to me for a little bit. We took a couple pics and he signed my jersey. The Toronto series was an awful idea (we were only 1-5 for the series and lost that game in OT, 34-31). That said, I’m thankful for the Kelly memory. I still have the jersey. Go Bills!

I definitely see what you’re saying. That said, I don’t think anyone is anointing him an HOF candidate yet. To your logic, is JK anointing him just because he thinks it can happen too? The potential is there, and with all the crap QBs we’ve had since JK, it’s awesome that JA is where he’s at starting in year four.
