  1. Eball, I agree. As well as this from some fans: “He’s 2019 Josh, or worse, 2018 Josh” “Maybe he’s not who we thought he was. 2020 was only one year” ”Now that he signed the contract, he’ll get worse” ”He must not be a franchise QB”
  2. Bro, it’s funny how some read your title but not your post. Some are taking your title seriously. 🤣
  3. 🤣🤣🤣 You definitely got me, bro. When I first saw the thread title, I was like “unbelievable!“ Well played, bro. Well played.
  4. Oh no! MVP of the Day? The JA haters must be going nuts!
  5. He had us at number nine. That said, he did mention that he felt like the bills were still going to go back to the AFC championship game even with a slow start. he definitely sides with the bills and JA.
  6. And is anyone going to say that Mahomes sucks for having two badly thrown interceptions in back to back games that was a factor in the final score? Some of our own would be all over JA for doing that. I don’t mean that in the sense of critique, critique is fine. I mean that in the sense of, “he must not be who we thought he was”. Go Bills, this is ours for the taking!
  7. Well bro, I guess WFT did have some players on the team from ‘87 today. 😜 Go Bills!
  8. Saw this on ESPN. “Washington has lost five straight road games at the Bills, and all by double digits. Its last road win at the Bills was in Week 8 of the 1987 season.” It’s about to be six losses in a row! Go Bills!!
  9. I love it! ”I want Washington and their O to go home tomorrow reevaluating life.” 🤣 Awesome!
  10. Let’s hope so, bro! By the way, love your pictures. Is Jaws your favorite movie?
  11. Do you see a mismatch, are you going off of how well he’s been playing lately or both?
  12. Gosh, I hope not. Something like that is really the only way I see Washington football team having a chance is if we make a lot of mistakes that give them points.
  13. I’m gonna go with Tre Day. The defense is playing great, they’re playing a backup QB and they don’t have the greatest of WRs. Which player do you predict will have the biggest impact against WFT? Go Bills!
  14. You’re right, Royale! The contract was so little compared to today’s money. In 1986 he signed a 5 year deal for $7.5M. Not per year, $7.5M was the total. WOW! Crazy, huh?
  15. Thanks for asking. JA isn’t above critique. And yes, he’s been in a slump to start the season (although he did look like he started to snap out of it in the 2nd half of the Dolphins game. Time will tell). That said, it’s the overreach by some. As @JoPoy88 said, being concerned after two games is premature. Respectfully, I don’t agree with you that the concern is valid right now. Why? Because even the greats have games or even a few weeks in a row where they don’t look great. You mentioned that the norm should be him playing great. I agree. That said, part of the norm is also expecting clunkers and even extended slumps from time to time without sounding the alarm. Last year, which we both agree was a great year for Allen, included about a month long slump for him. The key was that he was able to push through it and still win games. Again, it’s normal for franchise players to have clunkers or go through slumps, it’s how they respond to them that makes the difference. JA has the motivation, character, work ethic and drive to push through this just like he has when he’s gone through it before.
  16. So if JA plays well will that alleviate your concern or will you still be concerned thinking that him playing well vs. Washington was a fluke?
  17. I know, it’s weird. Our franchise guy isn’t good but we need to be afraid of these back ups. 😜
  18. Hey Corta! Thanks for bringing this topic up and breaking it down. I really do feel that the Bills have a shot at getting the number one seed even with the Pittsburgh loss. One of the main reasons for that is because KC does have such a tougher schedule this year along with playing their division. The Chargers played them really well last year and I believe they lost to the Raiders last year who are sticking around this year as well. Let’s hope that somehow buffalo can get to 13-4 and that they can avenge the week one loss to Pittsburgh so that it doesn’t come back to bite them in the end. Go Bills!
  19. Bro, that’s a great point. Like you said, you don’t have as great of a season as he had and then forget how to play QB.
  20. For clarity, JK is my favorite player of all time. I wasn’t roasting him. I was sharing that even him, one of the best we’ve ever had, had slumps just like JA is facing now.
  21. I loved your thought about the hyperbolic. That’s why I was trying to bring a little bit of historical context to slumps. Yes, he’s definitely earned a lot of rope. While I wouldn’t like it and hope it doesn’t happen, not even a down year (just like many greats have had) would change my view of JA.
  22. Bro, we have something in common besides our love for all things Bills and JK. We both loathe the Steelers. They’re my worst team!
  23. I already admitted that JA was going through a slump. Maybe bandwagon wasn’t the best choice of words. Maybe changing their viewpoint on a player is a better way to say it (I’m going to change it in my original post). I’m not talking about critique per se, I’m talking about people saying he’s not the franchise player we thought or one more bad game out of him or 2020 was a fluke or 2019 is who he really is or… just because of a slump. Even “2020” Josh had a slump that lasted around a month. He’s a great player, a franchise QB and most likely a generational talent that’s going through a slump. That’s it. Like @NoHuddleKelly12 said, it’s not linear. I want a SB win too but I’m not going to change my view (not saying you have) of JA just because of a slump or even a down year (if it continues). Hope that makes sense. Thanks for sharing.
