  1. If BB pulled that off he really should consider running for public office on the side. Maybe tire him out a bit to give the rest of the league a chance.
  2. Just can’t keep ‘em all, unfortunately. At this point and given his track record I have very little reason to doubt BB. I trust he’ll fill that niche position well, and that a back whose soul purpose is short yardage won’t cost much. I haven’t checked the history for FA short yardage specialists, but that’ll be easier to fill than pay a back the caliber of Hines especially to what he’s signed for (about 5-6 per I think I read). We’ll have 7-8 million when all is said and done invested in the RB position, with players who are at least above average to good at what we need them to excel at. I like this position a ton.
  3. Just my opinion, but I think they’ll find one easily in free agency next year once Motor leaves. I also think improving that area has more to do with the line than the back to be completely honest. Besides, losing Moss this year means nothing as he contributed little. I don’t remember a short yardage first down situation he proved to be an asset for. You can stick any of the current three backs we have back there right now and they improve our chances, statistically. This is a win across the board unless anyone is upset about losing the conditional pick. Nothing else at all to be critical about from what I can see.
  4. Incorrect. This trade is the perfect example of how you build an offense according to its identity. Cook and Hines for the next three years. Both are strong in areas we need our backs to be plus fast and quick.
  5. - Not that it is a surprise (to some), but if they plan on keeping Hines through the duration of his current contract Motor is elsewhere next season. - If that is the plan, I’m really happy with a RB tandem of Cook and Hines in this offense for the next three years. Beane is so solid… not sure how much better you can build a roster around its identity. Again, well done sir. - He’s the fastest back on the roster, and maybe the fastest entirely on offense unless Stevenson is activated at some point. True speed is the one element this offense really lacked this year, and now you have a back who is not only that but proven in the league…. I read 5th in the ENTIRE league for backs in receiving yards over the past few years as a friggin backup/ role player. - Listen to Pat Mcafee’s clip from today, and listen to Locked on Bills. Dude is characterized by his coaches as an elite competitor. Elite. He’s tough as nails, and literally says “I don’t care if I die” before every punt he fields. If you’re not into “fit”, then skip this point. If you are, this dude sounds like he was built from the ground up in the mold of everything “culture” stands for. - This offense, with Hines in the lineup, is about as scary as it gets. Rumors about McC and Kamara were fun to imagine and how it could really push any matchup into the “that’s just unfair” category. Now, if this works out like my crazy imagination processes things, that might just be about where the Bills offense is. - He takes over as PR immediately. Maybe he works his way into the KR game as well sporadically. STs improved and it was already the leagues best unit. BRAVO
  6. Pat is really unhappy with this.
  7. Nights not getting any better folks. Hope everyone enjoyed the hype for 12 games! Deuces to this friggin season.
  8. You hold out hope they can figure something out, but if I’m honest about how I’m feeling… he nailed it. I would supplement that with an element Stephen A and all non Bills fans can’t add themselves because they can’t truly feel it. As a Bills fan you kinda expect the worst. It’s basically in your DNA. This is the first year I haven’t purchased the ticket. I only watch the games if they are on TV. I’d not missed a single Bills game since 1986 (that I could watch), but I came in dreading this season. After the four Super Bowls and then two decades of let down (and more often than not just plain and utter disgusting football and penny pinching), even last years brilliant season hasn’t been able to shake that “they’re gonna let you down!” feeling ( at least I’ve had) since opening day. I hope they prove me wrong. I hope they can figure something out. There is certainly time to do so. You hate sayings like “any given Sunday” et all, but this really is a week to week league. It’s logical to think a team that has talent (and this one absolutely does) can turn it around. That’s three really bad losses. Tennessee is the only loss that isn’t sickening. Two of the three were at home. Defend our dirt is laughable at this point. This team with this talent. It’s starting to feel disgusting again, but for different reasons than the drought. Maybe they need a 9-7 loss to the Cleveland Browns wild card game season to string this all together…. Of course that would be 10-7 or 9-8 now. No bickering Bills with this squad of nice guys, and please no end zone sure td drop to end the season (thank you Ronnie Harmon, right behind Scott Norwood and Music City in top traumatic Bills memories to which there are gazillions at this point). Whatever happens I think I didn’t buy the ticket because I didn’t want the Bills to disappoint me again, or at least (because I still watch when they are televised nationally) I wanted to try keep a healthy distance from what I considered inevitable. It’s not mattering in the slightest. Still sucks you in like a black hole. This is goin to be a long year if something doesn’t change soon, and what a cherry it would be to watch New England take back the division title in the process.
  9. Outside of maybe most can come back to earth with the Super Bowl talk and let that crap go. This is at best a playoff team, and with New England playing the way they are in a legit fight for the East. Would add I dislike Urban Meyer like no other coach in all sports. Losing to him and that team makes me sick. Can’t take the Bills seriously at all. They could beat the rest of their opponents by several touchdowns on average, and we’ll always know they are capable of losing to one of the worst football teams ever assembled in NFL history. Every team has a bad game. It was a bad week. Positionally this. Coaching that. Overall, you can’t make excuses or rationalize in any way a loss to a team that poor. But I love reading it all. Therapy.
  10. No one should mention this team as a super bowl contender for the rest of the season. No matter what they do until (and if) they make the playoffs. This team is seriously flawed and in multiple levels. A lot to prove throughout the remainder of the regular season schedule.
  11. Beane will be flipping OL for draft picks like pancakes come August...
  12. Nixon gone. Wilson and then Brown please.
  13. Gimme Nixon, then Brown. Call it a day on both lines.
  14. Many intriguing prospects left. Falling nicely!
