Studies show that statins WILL lower your cholesterol, but will NOT increase your lifespan. The exception to that is if you've had a heart attack. Then there IS some benefit to taking statins. (not huge, but some) My dad had heart issues and took statins until his quality of life became intolerable. (memory fog, muscle pain) He ditched the statins and ended up dying of something NON heart-related years later.

I have one son who is in college and the other is working his first post-college job. They both had to deal with Libnut professors in college. I don't recall saying I was "scared" they were going to be "turned gay/trans" -- I don't know how you got that impression. A more notable issue was the professor who declared in class that if you weren't actively supporting BLM then you were a racist.
