6 Democrat lawmakers targeted with bomb threats
JFKjr replied to 4th&long's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
"Signed, MAGA" -
Why would you expect Republicans/independents to vote for her in 2024 when Democrats didn't vote for her in 2020, and she was the first to drop out of the Democratic primaries? Where was the groundswell of enthusiasm for Kamala except in the news media?

It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
JFKjr replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
They say that kids are a huge vector when it comes to flu transmission. So maybe locking down the schools and keeping kids home for most of the year was helpful in preventing flu transmission. Not really a practical thing to do going forward, but maybe it helps explain it. So in hosting Thanksgiving this year my BIL and SIL were talking about their recent flu shots. (They are very health-conscious/pro-vaccine/afraid of illness etc.) I asked if they had gotten their Covid booster yet. My SIL said they stopped getting them because she developed a sudden arthritic condition right after one of her shots, and she the Covid shot for that and is afraid to get another one. -
I do think the average person voted on things like: 1. The economy 2. Problems with mass immigration 3. Woke/transgender ideology (for me those issues are important in a practical sense with regard to women's sports and women's safety in the restroom, which are two issues glibly brushed off by liberals as being unimportant) However I don't think the financial system as currently structured will be viable going forward. Trump isn't going to 'fix' 50+ years of financial misfeasance by both political parties. I'm dating the start of the problem as 1971 when Richard Nixon took us off the gold standard. Others would argue it dates back to 1913 and the establishment of the Federal Reserve, and that's also a good argument. But for the modern era I prefer to go with Nixon. We've had quite a few pre-emptive jolts since then: 1987 crash/savings and loan crisis; early 2000s dotcom crash, 2008 financial crisis, and right now I'd argue we teeter on the precipice if the whole thing imploding. Bailing out GM and the banks was never a good idea, it just kicked the can down the road. Now here we are at the end of it. Can Trump fix it? I think he's working with Musk to put a new system in place, but it's going to be a tough few years while the details get ironed out. Could Kamala have fixed it? hahahahaha. She couldn't even think of anything she'd "do differently." I mean, when you liberals vote, what are you voting FOR? More crappy inflationary economy? More mass illegal immigration? More trans stuff in the schools? More billions sent to Ukraine? The idea of a "first black Indian woman president?" I really don't get the liberal mindset.

I agree with everything you said. At the same time, Peloisi is planning to run for another term at 86. And to be fair, Hillary currently is A LOT MORE ON THE BALL than brain-dead Biden or air-head Kamala. I think the Dems should seriously consider her. I'd love another chance to vote against Hillary!

Sure, it's easily tested for. But they DIDN'T. Flu disappeared and "Covid" was everywhere. (or maybe not) -
Do you support the Trump Tariffs?
JFKjr replied to Roundybout's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The U.S. was energy independent under Trump. Not so under Biden. We don't have to worry about tariffs on oil if we're producing it ourselves. Biden Admin Restricts Oil & Gas Leasing -
Democrat Self Reflection Post Landslide? Zero point zero.
JFKjr replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I was listening to an interview with a Kamala adviser this evening. The adviser/campaign person was VERY disgruntled. Said she talked to Kamala as recently as "today" (Tues) and there was "no self-reflection," no thoughts on "what went wrong." ALSO she commented that Kamala went through not "one," but TWO billion dollars in her abbreviated campaign. The other billion came from some Super Pac. They were spending on things like $2 million for the Oprah interview, $500K to Al Sharpton's group in return for his interview of her. $450K to "PAINT HER FACE ON A SPHERE." (think, like, Epcot golfball?) Anyway, no accountability, no thought as to how to wisely spend their funds. Her (former) staff is UPSET. -
You keep saying stuff.

Average price of gas per gallon in California is $4.35. Apparently that is sustainable for "reasons." -

I think we'll want to revisit this thread as the truth about the Covid Era comes tumbling out. -

Since the flu practically disappeared in the Covid Era, there's a good chance most of those pediatric deaths attributed to Covid WERE from the flu. The tests were unreliable, not intended for diagnosing, were 'overcycled' to cause positives, hospitals diagnosed 'covid' based on symptoms, and they got paid more for Covid diagnoses. Among other things. -
That's how Super Liberal Naomi Wolf got kicked out of the Elite Liberal Club. Just based on ONE issue -- she didn't think it was a great idea for pregnant women to be coerced into getting the Covid vaccine. She was surprised at how welcoming conservatives were.

Interesting that you chose to title your headline this way. The TDS for the next 4 years will be off the charts! We should acknowledge that there is a difference between language that might be questionable and words that are widely perceived as patently offensive. Occasionally, the latter slip into NPR's reporting. A few weeks back an editor used the word "scalp" in describing a political victory; that is an example of a word that NPR's Standards and Practices Editor Mark Memmott said should have been avoided because it carries the connotation of historic violence toward indigenous people.
