    Every golf tournament have sponsors exemptions. Sometimes they go to female players, sometimes they go to local figures who can't hit a golf ball 10 yards. At least when they are used for players like Wie or other amateurs you will see decent players.

    The playoffs are where the teams make their money. Players don't get paid by the teams during the playoffs so whatever money comes in from ticket sales is profit for only the team.

    Wie won her 2nd match today to make it into the quarter finals. She entered this tournament so she could get a chance to play the masters - no way she would think about declining the invite.

    Believe it or not, but to a large extent it really is the humidity. A dry 100 probably is not much different in how it feels than an 80 with average humidity. I'd say mid 90s with high humidity is as bad as it can get. Think I'd rather have it 110 and no humidity. Of course I'm not saying you should be running around outside when it's 110.

    Not that anyone is really talking about tennis here - but if I were uber-rich I would hold a tennis tournament where the fans were allowed to make all the noise they wanted to during the matches.

    I hate the all-orange. Good to see it wasn't included. I don't like the numbers on the helmet - should just have the su logo on it.
