  1. The rules aren't there to stick it to the Bills - the rules are there to stick it to Ralph and the other old school owners. The new owners want to get rid of all the "share the wealth" owners.
  2. Right - the changes to the Ralph would cost the team too much money.
  3. I think once the Bills trade JP for a 6th rounder then that pick will go to Houston to get their 4th rounder instead of the 5th rounder.
  4. The Jets could probably sign him for the vet minimun at this point since I don't recall any other team showing interest.
  5. I guess old Gregg really did hire some good coaches after all. I guess they just needed some NFL seasoning.
  6. Too bad the Bills didn't add some of that language to their attempts at the RFAs.
  7. "working out a trade will be difficult because both the Bills and Moulds' new team would have to agree on draft pick compensation." Wow! Both the Bills AND the team that wants Moulds will have to decide on which draft pick! Um - isn't that like all trades? How do I become a personal advisor?
  8. Plus Marv's comments when they signed Nall sure sounded like they have no plans to draft a QB with their #1.
  9. Henry was making coins compared to Moulds (and compared to other RBs). Due to Moulds contract I think that reduces his trade value.
  10. I guess the Bills could try to trade for him once the Bears match the offer.
  11. The Bills will be lucky if they get a 4th. 5th or 6th seems more possible.
  12. The Bills will be lucky if they can get a 4th round pick for Moulds.
  13. Plus if the Cards didn't bite at the big money then the Bills are only out a 6th rounder for a starter. Not a bad risk to take. Vince Manuwai & Derrick Dockery are still out there if Marv wants to try the RFA route again.
  14. I like this comment from http://www.thetowntalk.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...PORTS/603210323 Nall said he has studied weather trends in Buffalo, and compared them with Green Bay, and found a lot of similarities, but Buffalo annually gets "a lot more snow" than Green Bay.
  15. McCown could still be a good #2 for either Miami or the Saints if they want to go that route. I wouldn't mind the Bills doing the same.
  16. I would guess that chances are there would be next years #1 going to NO in that deal.
  17. Nothing a retractable roof couldn't take care of.
  18. So are you thinking the #19 pick for Nate? Then do the Bills pick at 8 & 19 or package them to move up?
  19. Snyder still will not want to give up more money for shared revenue. He will just cut the players he needs to this year to meet the rules and then come 2007 as an uncapped year he will spend NY Yankees type money and buy every top free agent out on the market to try to win the Super Bowl.
  20. Move the picture away from football and it is no different then any other Buffalonian. You have a guy named Eric who works at a company in Buffalo - the company says that they are reorganizing the Buffalo office and they want him to take a pay cut to stay with the company. But Eric doesn't want to take a pay cut and thinks he could move out of Buffalo and find a similar job in another city that will pay him what he thinks he is worth.
  21. Maybe Holcomb is our QB of the future in some sort of Back to the Future kinda way. Let's hope he doesn't brake his flux capacitor!
  22. It can't be a pretty poor generalization when you say the same thing: "In general, I will say that at any of the "elite" schools there is a large proportion of students who had a leg-up b/c of alumni connections". What I was saying is that the undergrad programs at the Ivyies are not really that different then any other schools. Of course you will have your percentages of very smart folk, your jocks, your middle of the roads - but you also get a lot more money students and connection students because they are the ones who can afford to pay the Ivy cost.
  23. Yes, I'm generalizing a bit here... All the Ivy League undergraduate is mostly money and who you know/related to. It is the graduate programs of the Ivy Leagues where all of the smart people come into play. There is a book that came out recently that goes into a ton of detail about this. The period when DJ and GWB were at Yale as undergrads was not a time of super-intellects. Also I think I read that DJ's wife went to Havard - maybe Marv knew her.
