  1. What? The only reason the Cowboys were even remotely competitive at the start of last season is because Dak was throwing 500 yards a game. He's a very, very good QB. Being said, compound fractures are no joke and I would not want to lock up a guy who's level of mobility is highly in question for that kind of money. If I were the Cowboys, I'd franchise tag him and then see how he does next year. Given the numbers he's demanding, it seems like the only outcome of that is the Cowboys ending up paying him less.
  2. This really reminds me of the "runner on second at the start of the inning" in extra innings rule in baseball. Arbitrary and weird. Of course a bad team is the one suggesting this. How about first they fix that horrible rule where fumbling out of bounds in the endzone results in a touchback for the other team.
  3. I've actually learned quite a bit about mythology and history from both bands.
  4. So, this card was printed in three sets, Limited Edition Alpha, Limited Edition Beta and Unlimited Edition, in that order, with the last set coming out in 1994. The cards you are seeing are probably from unlimited, and/or not mint or near mint condition. The Alpha card is by far the rarest, and that's why it's the most expensive despite being the same card that's in the other sets. It's purely a collector item that is sort of like owning a piece of history, I guess. That might not make sense but it is the case.
  5. I think I like the Browns helmet the most
  6. Definitely hot. Weirdly even hotter when she wears glasses.
  7. I like her because she always looks so uncomfortable talking to that guy with the big ears and it's amusing, plus her score predictions are magical. Every score is like 24-21. Being said, she's hot and she offers something different so I like that she's in the scene.
  8. I found it interesting. I don't know how resistant NFL fans are to analytics as I'm more familiar with the vitriol they receive from baseball fans, but I always think these types of things carry some value, if for no other reason than to give an alternate perspective. No "I like this guy because of X" or anything like that. Pure numbers. https://www.nfl.com/news/cynthia-frelund-2021-nfl-mock-draft-1-0-who-teams-should-draft-to-win-now I'd be pretty surprised to see Wilson and Fields go that low and I'm not enthused over the Pats getting Trey Lance so let's hope that doesn't happen. For the TL;DR she has us taking OT Teven Jenkins as the best upgrade to our roster from what would be available.
  9. The second or third best team in the NFL is lacking talent...lol
  10. I'd like to think there's a very clear difference between the best pass rusher available who is also a future HOF and all time great vs. Kyle Rudolph. No one is breaking the bank for him.
  11. That quote doesn't even make sense in the context of AZ vs. BUF because Diggs can also catch the ball anywhere on the field, and was better, statistically, than Hopkins. My bet is Cardinals finish last in the NFC West, unless Wilson is actually traded.
  12. If they are going to make a big push, why would it be for Rudolph and not Smith, Everett, Cook or even Ertz? Why would Rudolph even want to go there when he could come to Buffalo, a much better team? (God that feels so good to say)
  13. Those guys are going to cost quite a bit more. Knox is not nearly as bad as some people make him out to be, and we don't require a really good FA TE right now. I really don't understand why people think the position is a priority given other holes we need to fill, like OT, LB, CB (maybe, though Wallace is fine) and DE. Having a guy who is good at some stuff Knox is not very good at currently seems like the exact type of TE we should bring in on the cheap.
  14. What's their pitch? They don't even have a QB yet.
  15. Yeah, this is wild. We can easily keep Brown, and when he's healthy, he's an excellent compliment to Diggs and Beasley. Why would we get rid of him? Because he got hurt?
  16. Ever since we got Diggs, I'm not taking any of these types of things at face value. Maybe JJ was annoyed about being the best player on a badly run team for so long and was frustrated. Kind of understandable. Also, if I'm going to take ANYONE'S word on how Watt is inside a locker room, it sure wouldn't be from the salty incompetent defensive coaches. Watt only cared about his own stats? Assuming that's true, what the hell else did he have to play for with Houston? Also, what would Watt stat stuffing even look like? Sacking the QB multiple times? My god, can you imagine what a hindrance that could be? I just realized these quotes came from the coaching staff. I dunno who else I could have thought they were from. I guess I expected maybe a smidgen of class and respect from a franchise trying desperately to get some of it back.
  17. Someone wanted a Drew Lock card? Did you sell him a Josh Rosen while you were at it?
  18. Come on now. "Mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell" is just something normal athletes tweet? He was definitely trolling and getting a kick out of it. I don't begrudge him for it at all.
  19. I'm guessing with his vague tweets. I thought it was pretty fun, tbh. I definitely don't agree HE strung anyone along. Everything came from the media. You can dislike Watt but it's a big stretch to say he's at fault just because he took his time to find the right fit (in his wallet) and made a few cryptic statements.
  20. So he had a previous charge that led to him being restricted from possessing a gun? Seems a bit disingenuous to not include that.
  21. Was the gun charge simply having a gun that wasn't registered to him? If so, 5 year minimum is insane. I get you need to have standards for crimes but that seems like a long time. Not to get political or anything, but a lot of black youth suffer from not having a dad, statistically speaking. This has correlated to a higher likelihood of crime and gang activity. So I have to ask: how does taking a dad away from his kids for 5 years help this situation at all? It seems counter productive, assuming Dion isn't skipping over any important details.
  22. No way. We all love Newfoundland without actually wanting to live there. The maritime provinces have a special place in our hearts and lots of people all over Canada go on vacations there. PEI is probably the most well known as a vacation destination, but, not kidding, you can walk down the road in St. John's in the morning and people you don't know will literally invite you in for breakfast. Saskatchewan we just generally don't care about, and Alberta is the source of Canada's economy while BC is extremely nice (but very expensive). We view Manitoba like how I imagine you Americans view Alabama or the crazy version of Florida which is full of Florida guys. Oh, and everyone outside of Ontario, hates Ontario. Especially Quebecers.
  23. Good move. Tim Hortons is awful. BTW, Canadian logic, there's actually no apostrophe in Tim Hortons. It doesn't make any sense, but neither does buying burnt coffee or baked doughnuts that aren't really doughnuts. How did they market to New Yorkers anyway? Here it's just "hey, patronize us because Canada Canada Canada" and like little lemmings, off they go to get their burnt double doubles, eh. Can't imagine marketing the food is very successful. Sorry I just really hate Tim Hortons.
