Buffalo finished with the 12th highest defensive DVOA and were significantly better in the latter half of the season. This was while dealing with injuries at various times to star players (White, Milano, Edmunds), no true 1 tech and several disappointments on the DL. So, on aggregate, they finished above average.

I'd bet that Mitch Trubisky in the right system is a much better QB than Cam Newton, who got like 6 times the amount of money. At the very least, he's comparable.

I wonder if they could even use Mitch with Josh in some weird trick plays, given both guys are pretty athletic, mobile and tough QBs. Our own Taysom Hill except actually a QB.

Sad part is, this is probably true. Sometimes I do wonder what would have happened if the Bears ended up with Mahomes and the Chiefs with Trubisky. It really feels like the Bears are literally incapable of having a good QB since Jay Cutler.

How many examples of this happening and proving to be complete bs have to happen before a little bit of doubt creeps into your mind? Sexual assault allegations have been weaponized. Your name is protected, it's nearly impossible (most of the time) to prove what actually happened, and there are zero consequences for lying. The upside is a lot of sympathy fame and money, which really hurts actual victims who want real justice. The allegations could be true, but throwing more logs on the fire doesn't make it any more or less credible to me. Believe all women? How about the ancient principle of innocent until proven guilty?
