Rd 2, Pick 63 (31): RB James Cook, Georgia
pigpen65 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really really strange vibe from the reaction shot. Wonder what the story is. -
I think they duplicate last year's duplication and go CB again
-
100% guaranteed it was going to be CB. Just made too much sense

TRADE!!!
-
Teams without a quarterback trading up to take a wide receiver. This is the stupid s*** the bills used to do. It's crazy how obviously stupid these moves are through the eyes of a fan of a franchise that stop doing stupid s*** like this.

They are taking a CB first round guaranteed

Tyreek seeking a trade [Now: Traded to the Dolphins]

Definitely remember fins fans saying there wasn't going to be a sweep last year either so I guess we'll see. -
It's amazing watching Edmunds college highlights back. Knowing what we know now about the player he is, it's all right there to see. All of his big splash plays are when he's not blocked and has a free lane to run down the ball carrier. And the ball carrier is always running in a straight line, never with a cut back. Watch and compare to Nakobe Dean, who is going to the Bills in multiple mock drafts, and it's 100% different. Dean can beat blockers. Dean can read plays .Dean react instinctually to cut backs. Watching a legit middle line backer and comparing him to Edmunds bastardizes the term. Edmunds really isn't a middle line backer. He's a slow strong safety that doesn't cover anybody

I think Fournette is a fantastic talent. If there was any way that would be pretty big

Yo, wtf? -
No way can they be thinking Ford is the answer are they? They keep putting their faith in him and he keeps failing them over and over.

He was horrible last year. Now get rid of Beasely, Edmunds, and Addison and I'm good

150 draft prospects threaten to boycott Combine
pigpen65 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
A player doesn't have to go to the combine of they don't want to. Its not like the combine is going to be short 150 players if they don't go. There's a line of thousands of prospects behind them who will happily step right in. I understand why it's being reported but its really a complete non story -
I think his good runs of 3 or 4 games have been runs of 3 or 4 games vs weak opponents. Weaker teams the rest of the D is more available to cover for him. The better offenses that were able to spread the D out and isolate Edmunds, whether in the run game or the pass game, just blew him apart.

I think Daboll's nature is to be super aggressive and I think McD's nature is super conservative. I think the reason they worked together is that they balanced each other. I think the reason the Bills go Jauron ball in big games is because McD is Jauron and has taken more control of the offense in big games. I'm worried that with Daboll gone we have way way more Jauron ball ahead of us.

Yeah well for anybody who convinced themselves that the OT rules are broken because the Chiefs offense can't be stopped if they win the toss, the Bengals defense just ***** that argument down.

Definitely under reacting to why it took as long as it did to start throwing downfield. They lost their star safety first series if the game.

Sullivan: Bills' McDermott choked away Super Bowl-caliber season
pigpen65 replied to QCity's topic in The Stadium Wall
Before this last game I would have agreed and just chalked it up to bad luck, but this last game was so egregious. It was such a choke and so poorly managed. He has two time outs that he used before each of the Chiefs two plays to discuss the defense, and the result was still the wrong defense to use in the wrong situation at the wrong time. There's no way around for me, he's got some major major flaws with in game coaching decisions that cost the team wins. Definitely cost them this game. And legit legit probably cost them their first ever Superbowl -

Something is definitely wrong when a team has to have a double digit lead to get out of the game with a win. They lost every single close game this year. That's horrifying.
