You cannot compare this hire by Pegula to all others in the past by Ralph. Pegula has no reputation as a guy who interferes and he can pay top dollar to head coach and to staff under him - whole new regime - whole new ball game !!

You conveniently leave out the fact that in the drafting of EJ we traded down picking up a #2 and still had our choice of any qb in the draft. Also the plan was never to start EJ his rookie year thats why QB Kolb was signed - you leave out that injury. Pass rushers are a premium - care to compare the value of ILB Shepperd vs the value of DE Jerry Hughes? That's truly making wine out of water - but thats kinda forgotten. Was it Whaley or Marrone responsible for the good OL coach to leave Buffalo for Sandiego and then take G Chad Reinhart with him? Whaley benched Craig Urbik for 8 games? Jarius Byrd was told bye bye saving us 10 million - where would we be now with that albatross had Whaley not told him bye bye?

I think this changes with new ownership of Pegulas. Buffalo was considered a losing franchise that worked on the cheap and had a meddling owner. Thats all changing and will now have high priced coaches and scouting staffs and a non meddling owner which should all create some success

It would be a crime to replace Whaley with an unproven Chris Polian, I'd also like to see Whaley and his scouts do their job with an expanded scouting budget which I'm sure Pegula will do.

I think all the "Lifers" who have been the brain trust of the organization the last 30 years will all be gone....they have over seen the 15 yrs of no playoffs and also saw the dismissal of Polian and Butler... Gone - Littman, Overdorf, Brandon - thats where the real 'clean house' will occur

A classic example of Bills GM and coaching staff not being on the same page - Marrone and Hacket did not want that type of back and really has no idea how to best utilize his talents. This had to be recognized and CJ should have been traded before the season for any pick you could get.

Our staff instructed EJ to not scramble and Orton is in no way mobile and use play action off our run game. 1- Bills just had their lowest total of running yards in a 16 game season 2- Why would Glennon not be capable of faking a run and throwing?

Those numbers are Glennon as a ROOKIE - not a 10 year vet like Orton who we know is as good as you see. Orton will $5.4 milion/year in 2015 - Glennon on a 3rd rd rookie QB salary is locked in at 2 more years near 800k & 900k If you have a PROVEN veteran QB that fits within our cap formula (we do have the highest paid defense in NFL) then I am all for it and please share the name. Glennon's name pops up as a POSSIBILITY because it looks like a very thin market. Our scouts liked him out of college - its likely they take a look again.

Tampa getting the top pick will draft a QB and likely will move 2rd year QB Mike Glennon. The Bills scouts did like Glennon and many in Tampa thought it a mistake Lovie Smith went with McCown. Not sure why the defensive coaches avoid criticism - yes they perform better than the offense but they should given the talent provided them. Miami moved the ball on Schwartz at will often getting first downs without even being forced into 3rd down situations. Schwartz deserves credit when Mario buries his OT and gets a sack with no scheme involved? How many 3rd and 15+ has this defense given up this year? With the season on the line last week and a 3rd & 8 who rushed 3 guys giving up the 9 yards and in effect ending the game? They all go - Schwartz included

The entire Urbik benching smells of a thin skinned head coach - no way a 4th year Urbik could be graded below a rookie draft choice like Richardson. Whats surprising is this board has not uncovered what it is Urbik did to not get off the bench. Is it a Whaley vs Marrone spat and Urbik is a pitt guy?
