I can only think of 4 teams that’s been good for a long time (Pats, Packers, Saints, Hawks) and that’s because of the QB. Cap destroyed the Hawks and Saints eventually. Stand by for the Chiefs and Tampa to implode in 2 years.

They will most likely be 1 year cheap deals. That’s the only way I see it happening unless the bills want to kick the can down the road on Diggs and Whites contracts

Most teams are kicking the can down the road. I think next year the Chiefs are going to be in a world of hurt, same with Tampa, Chicago, New Orleans, Dallas, etc. Beane is playing it smart which is being confused with being cheap / conservative.

It’s become apparently obvious that this is the Bill approach to FA this year. After the first day and 1/4 it looks like a majority of teams are at above or nearly capped out. Only a couple teams still have more than $20M in space and no one wants to play for them unless they way over pay. My forecast: We won’t see any moves until day 3/4 when the deep discounts are available. We will add a WR #2, DE rotation, #1 RB, punter, OL rotation help, #2 TE. Sit back and enjoy watching teams hamstring themselves in a cap strapped year.

What leads you to believe we’re going to add a DE in FA? There’s been zero indicators of any interest. I think we’re rolling with the same front 7 except for Star and I’m good with it. Next year we should have a bunch of cap to work with and I think that’s when our SB window officially opens. We are not a SB team just yet.

That’s kind of fair though. We did get destroyed by TEs all year long and ever more so in the playoffs. The Pats having 2 high end TEs is worrisome.
