  1. Waters would be a great pickup, but I'm not sure how much better he is than Mike Goff, who's freely available and only a year older.
  2. Oh, don't you worry about ol' JP. He's taken enough of Ralph's money to live comfortably for quite some time.
  3. Tampa's just trying to get back to the cap floor, apparently. Clayton's had Royal-esque numbers lately - last year was his best since his rookie season in 2004, and he manage 38 catches for 484 yards. And his only touchdown since 2006.
  4. The board is officially nostalgic for Tom Donahoe. And I can't even disagree.
  5. You'll note he's the only center currently on the roster, at least until Geoff Hangartener becomes official. Don't worry abou tit.
  6. Ben Coates played for the 2000 Ravens that, you know, won a Super Bowl.
  7. Picking lottery numbers?
  8. This is a big test for Guy, I think. Buffalorumblings reported that the Bills had Hangartener as the #2 OL in free agency, after Jason Brown. This is the dude they wanted, big time. If it's a whiff, I think that it's about as damning to Guy as our last, oh, 16 UFA busts.
  9. Eh - I think that matters a lot more when you're making $50,000 vs. $5,000,000. It's not like Derrick Dockery asked for that signing bonus to pay his mortgage.
  10. I really don't think that nightlife is as important as it gets made out to be - during the season, how many nights per week are these guys going out? They work on Sundays - it sort of puts a crimp in their late-night style. And when they've got some time off, they can jet out to anywhere in the country. I can understand there being some appeal to being a celebrity in New York City, but I really don't believe there's such a huge gap between the social lives of Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Detroit, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Kansas City, Baltimore, or Phoenix.
  11. The CB market seems to have quieted down. I think the Hayden/Asomonguh deals put some space between GMs and agents.
  12. Replacing two NFL Europe guys with even a marginal NFL starter is a huge improvement. And I think Hangartner is going to be a solid lineman.
  13. Well, here's some good news: It doesn't matter how much better Miami, New England, and the Jets get this offseason. We were 0-6 last year, there's no room to go down.
  14. This offseason the Bills must acquire three interior linemen to replace Preston, Fowler, and Dockery. This is one, and he's an upgrade on all three of those bums. Now let's get the other two!
  15. I'm guessing right now, they're thinking center, but come September, it'll all depend on camp.
  16. Ziegler and Conaty were between Hull and Teague, right?
  17. This would be a quality signing if they get it done. If Simmons had a good physical, I'm not sure what they're waiting for, bu Hangarten-Simmons is a big upgrade from Dockery-Preston
  18. Brown may have been overpriced, but Brandon Moore seemed like a good deal. Maybe the story here is that Russ Brandon is annoyed Ralph didn' tlet him fire Jauron, and is setting him up to fail.
  19. I think there's a lot of UFA talent left, but have the Bills scheduled any visits today?
  20. 1-10 is worth panicking over. But 1-9? We could still make it back to our usual!
  21. I think Ward's looking for a shot to be a real, #1RB, not prison insurance.
  22. All right, so roughly speaking, here's what's the what at our key needs: Backup QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick has signed, but there are other mid-range options who could beat him/Hamdan out in camp if the Bills are so interested. Only Collins has signed, so there's Frerotte, Trent Green, Brad Johnson, or Byron Leftwich if you want experience. Emergency RB: Fred Taylor was a real interest, so the Bills are looking. Rumored to be interested in Kevin Jones, also look for Deuce McAllister, Ahman Green, or LaMont Jordan accepting a backup job. #2WR: There's still Coles! And Housh, though that's a longshot. Marvin Harrison is an option for a year, maybe, and depthwise, you could make a (weak) case that Jerry Porter or Nate Washington is better than Josh Reed. TE: Chris Baker was the only real option. OG: No need to panic here: Mike Goff, Kendall Simmons (visited already), Geoff Hangartener, and Pete Kendall would all fill gaps. C: Matt Birk or bust, now. Though some of the guards, (Hangartener!) can play center. DE: Almost nothing happened here today, so the options are wide open - Chris Canty, Antonio Smith, Kalimba Edwards, Igor Olshansky DT: Rocky Bernard would be a solid pickup, and I like Jovan Haye. And like every other year, there's always Grady Jackson. OLB: Wide open - Freddie Keiho, Cato June, Derrick Brooks all have extensive T2 experience. Then there's Keith Brooking and Michael Boley S: Jermaine Phillips, Sean Jones, and Mike Brown headline here. So, the moral here is that if you have a need at every position, there will be players available for you.
  23. Here's the link: http://www.wgr550.com/Peters-offered-deal-...r-visit/3931053 Now, who knows - if that was after the Pro Bowl, it's different than if it was after the Pats game.
  24. I guess it's not impossible that the Bills still bring in another QB to camp Frerotte, Trent Green, I dunno. I can't imagine Fitzpatrick got must-keep money.
