  1. I dunno. I expect the Bills to "possibly" win anywhere between 5 and 10 games next season. Unless Clayton wants to be more specific than that, I'm not to interested.
  2. Based on the general actions of agents in the NFL, a guy who shows little patience with their antics and is willing to fire them on a whim seems like my kind of guy.
  3. The Bills played 8 games against divisional opponents 1990-1993.
  4. Wikipedia is broadly accurate for stuff that's generally well-established, but it's never a source for breaking news of any kind, nor will it settle any major controversies.
  5. Yeah, but Fletcher's excess of downfield tackles was a sign of crummy line play.
  6. It's really pick your poison: Marv has given us mediocrity, while Donahoe gave us our best seasons post-Butler, he also gave us our worst. Now, since the "best seasons" were 9-7 and 8-8, he's not even really worth it as a boom & bust kind of guy. And honestly, Butler was mostly living off the talent that Polian acquired anyway. This franchise has not been making good decisions for 15 years now.
  7. So we'd be running the S-Gun next year?
  8. Sounds about right. I'll take the points and pick the Bills, but I'd say it's at least 50-50 that we get blownout.
  9. Yeah - as a 2nd round pick and a potential RB, Leonard was a washout. As a 3rd RB and a fullback, maybe?
  10. Before Rhodes came to town, I wouldn't have minded bringing Leonard in as a reserve back, and the price was cheap. Oh well, I think we'll make it.
  11. Are either Reich or Metzelaars any good at coaching? I can't imagine Frank has anything to teach Peyton in terms of technique (though he's got plenty on Manning in the heart department, I'm not sure how teachable that is).
  12. Well, Garrett Mills was marginal enough to be put on the practice squad, claimed by the Vikings, and put together seven receptions in three years. So I'm guessing he wouldn't stand out on the Bills either. But I mean, I'm not looking for the Pats to start going 7-9 or anything in the near future, but they're going to live and die by the same corps they have all the way through: Brady, Wilfork, Seymour, and the line. As they start aging and acquiring more injuries, it's not clear the replacements have arrived, and the Pats may fall back into the pack with 9-12 win seasons.
  13. The Patriots deserve some benefit of the doubt, but I think their magical run is beginning to pass over the horizon. For a team that was once built through the draft, their picks have been slacking lately. Granted, it's harder to break onto a good team's roster than ours, but still. http://drafthistory.com/teams/patriots.html Other than Jerod Mayo, their last clear hit was Logan Mankins. Brandon Merriweather is a starter, and his stat line is run-of-the-mill for a starting safety. Maroney got beat out by Sammy Morris. Chad Jackson got cut. Wheatly is a backup. David Thomas and Garrett Mills are marginal players, etc.
  14. Thank God Butler came out of that draft. Otherwise, it was a series of role-players, washouts and Donte Whitner.
  15. And this is why we're one of the best boards around!
  16. You're the first one I've seen complain about the Nelson selection.
  17. Wow...I'm speechless. It's the sort of thing that's not even on your radar, you know?
  18. Wow, four linebackers!
  19. There's definitely reason to hope from this draft. If the worst things about it are the 6th and 7th round pick, well, that's a damn good spring weekend in New York.
  20. I've only been to the Ralph and Giants stadium, and honestly, I liked the experience much better at RWS. Of course, it helps being there to support the home team, and Giants Stadium is due to be ripped up anyway.
  21. Don't you know? A real GM would have traded Jason Peters for SEVEN first round picks, and landed both Smiths and Mack, as well as our two guards. That'd be an o-line for the ages.
  22. Langston Walker obviously has less talent than Jason Peters, and Peters is an all-around better football player. But if we're comparing '08 to '09, it's only fair to compare Walker '09 to Peters '08, and Peters '08 was a marginal contributor at best.
  23. I really hope we bring him in to compete with Hamdan, and at least, showcase him a bit in the preseason to give fans a reason to watch the games and give him a chance to show some stuff.
  24. The Trade deadline is around week 5 or 6.
