  1. The team has clearly quit on this week. The question is if they'll ever work hard again.
  2. Just...if Chambers or Scott gets hurt, is there even another tackle on this team?
  3. Terrell Owens - we need you to go off on the QB and the coaches. Loudly, nationally, whenever possible. Tweet it if you have to. Call up Bob Costas during Football Night in America and make an announcement. You will get a standing ovation from the Bills' media.
  4. So even if Bell beat out Walker at LT, why exactly did we cut our third best tackle?
  5. WOW our tackle just got eaten up.
  6. So the Bills called a time out, and got the very quick incompletion. Will they run a drive?
  7. On the plus side - this game is going to be brief. We could be on the bus by 6:30.
  8. Well, that one was on the line and not Trent. Still, you think we could set up something a little quicker-developing.
  9. We don't even play not to lose. We play not to lose by much.
  10. 4th and 1 - if that was the Bills, Jauron would have sent in the punter, just to be safe.
  11. If the Bills are going to win this game, it's going to be based on their ability to run the ball. We're not going to be able to pass-block too effectively without real tackles, so the issue is going to be running up the middle, and relying on the skill of our guards to pull on outside runs. If we can get 3rd and 4s and 3rd and 3s, then just maybe we can rely on the skill of Evans, the strength of Owens, and the hands of Reed to pick up quick first downs. On defense, it's just going to have to be about getting to Chad Henne. Like most games, we're going to have to not screw up on special teams and not turn the ball over.
  12. Wes Welker's worst season left him with 434 yards on Nick Saban and Gus Frerotte's Miami Dolphins. This not counting a season where he played only special teams. Roscoe Parrish's best season was good for 352 yards. Roscoe Parrish is not Wes Welker. He's a returner who may never end up with more than 20 receptions in a season again.
  13. The Raiders are in much worse shape that we are, and have been since that Super Bowl. We've been toiling in mediocrity, but other than 2001, we haven't had a truly humiliating season. We're just never good enough. After 2002, our worst season (5-11) equals their best.
  14. It'd all be okay if Edwards was a more effective short-yardage passer - able to find slants and hooks that led to YACs and first downs. If that's a WR problem, a QB problem, or a coaching problem i don't know, but all of our short passes turn into punts.
  15. Poz should be healthy in two or three weeks. However, the team will place him on injured reserve in order to bring on a special teams-focused strong safety.
  16. Look, the bottom line here is that both QBs average fewer than one TD pass per game. Combined, in their careers, Edwards and Losman have 55 TD passes, nearly as many as Brady had in one season. Both have roughly the same number of interceptions as touchdowns. We can argue about who is worse, but as long as that argument is on the table, we have no QB. Trent Edwards is better than JP Losman. He's not enough better to be an NFL QB right now.
  17. Mmmm, nothing spells championship like bringing in three guys in their 30s to accommodate a scheme change.
  18. We match up badly against teams that try to play offense and defense during the same game.
  19. This is the least of my problems with Jauron.
  20. The correct coaching decision on that play would have been to call a time out to think it over, throw the challenge flag, lose the challenge and a second time out, send out the offense, take a delay of game call, and punt. Really, Jauron got us two-thirds of the way there.
  21. As far as Indy's LBs go, we had Freddie Keiaho in for a visit, and declined to make a move. He's not a worldbeater by any stretch, but he probably barely makes a million dollars a year - it's not that we need superstars at LB; it's that we seem to be ignoring opportunities to bring in role-players.
  22. I'd feel better about the game if it was revealed the Sean Payton was a master hypnotist who causes QBs to overthrow, centers to one-hop snaps, and coaches to forfeit when the game is on the line.
