  1. I don't think Trent is looking over his shoulder to Fitzpatrick. These passes are ugly.
  2. that 70 yard gain is going to come back to bite us.
  3. Wow, that was some fine coverage of an injury to a starting QB.
  4. Well, if we had any momentum, it appears 12 men on the punt ended that.
  5. That was a well-run play action.
  6. Is this the end of the Roscoe Parrish era in Buffalo?
  7. Are a few sentences clipped in that article for anyone else?
  8. Pretty much coach who loses as much as Jauron has been kept around this long. He's currently 22 games under .500. Most of his company around there are Chris Palmer or Marty Mohrninweg types who went 2-14, 3-13, and got fired after two years. With 138 games coaches, only three guys are further under .500 with more games: Sam Wyche, who managed two Super Bowls in between the futility, although Jauron will tie him with a loss today; Joe Kuharich who is also at -23, who Jauron will pass in terms of total games by the end of the year anyway, and the bottom of the list has Norm Van Brocklin, at -34 in 173 games. Closing out the season without another victory will move Dick into a tie there, I believe.
  9. I'd agree on Modrak - the Bills problems seem to be related to the fact that they pick the wrong position, rather than the wrong guy at the right position. It's not that Whitner wasn't the best safety on the board when we took him, it's the DT/QB that we passed up.
  10. Teams that are ahead in games run the ball more, so winning causes running more than running causes winning. Of course, it helps a lot if you can put the game away with a strong running game, so it's not a total wash. Look at first-half stats only (I'm not sure where these would be). That's where you can find out if running or passing leads to a lead, that can be protected by the run.
  11. Honestly, I'd be surprised if any of those folks will make more money than Dick Jauron in the two years, much less Lee Evans.
  12. Even if that did happen, I don't think it would give us much in the way of security. 70,000 part owners paid $10,000 each. What would happen when some billionaire offers $15,000 a seat? He'd only need 35,001 people to do it.
  13. When what happens? Every single immigrant group in the history of the nation has learned English, and Hispanic immigrants aren't changing the pattern at all. Virtually all of their children grow up speaking English, and in the meantime if the NFL and GM want to make a quick buck appealing directly to their parents, it's no skin off my back.
  14. It's not even thatl it's Leonard, Ngata AND Mangold over Whitner and McCargo.
  15. I think you might be taking this too seriously.
  16. Just because the offense sucks without Turk doesn't mean the offense wouldn't have sucked with Turk. It's not like he's known as a successful coordinator.
  17. I mean, anything can happen. But I wouldn't bet my lunch money on this one being close.
  18. So yeah, replace McCargo, McKelvin, Posluszny, and Whitner with those guys, and add in what: Nick Mangold, Ryan Clady, (I'd keep Puz), and Ngata, and we'd probably be a playoff team.
  19. There's nothing that suggets the Bills will win another game this year. Unfortunately, there's nothing that suggests the Rams or Bucs will win again either, and they've got a game on us.
  20. Ryan Fitzpatrick is probably better than Andrew Walter.
  21. I'm not sure we wouldn't be better off if Alex Van Pelt was the QB and Trent was the coordinator.
  22. This is the last stand. Jets 51 Buffalo 0.
  23. If we wanted the man who built the '99 Rams, why wouldn't we hire Vermeil? At 73, he's spryer than Jauron, and shows a lot more emotion.
  24. I'll say it, too - next year, I'd rather have Daunte Culpepper starting than Trent Edwards. He can start for a year while we decide if we should bite on a top-10 QB in the draft or look elsewhere.
