Trade down, no question. I think that's usually the way to go, too. My best guess is that the Bengals would have given something to move down (to take the top tackle instead of the third), say, a second rounder. Then the Bills snag Freeney at 10, and trade the #4 in the second round to the Patriots for Bledsoe (I wouldn't do that now, of course, but I think it would have made sense then). With the Bengals pick, we take LeCharles Bentley.
Then, in 2003, we still make the Price trade, and move up in the first round to take Byron Leftwich.
