If any of the big 3 QBs are on the board when we pick, it's a solid change to trade down with a Minnesota, a Miami, or even with the Cowboys. Besides, even if the draft goes Bush - Brick - Ngata -Williams - Davis - Huff - Bunkley, we can still pick up, say, a Tamba Hali for our D line, Winston Justice for OT, or even Jimmie Williams to replace Nate if he leaves in 2007 (not that all 3 QBs will drop that far anyway).

What about this trade? To the Bills: Ryan Fitzpatrick To the Rams: future considerations Fitzpatrick was a 7th round pick, with a sub-60 rating, ending the season with games of 58, 32, and 45. His last game he went 10/24. These aren't even JP numbers, why would we want someone even more raw? If Fairchild thinks he can be a miracle worker with Fitzpatrick, then bring him in for nothing. Or just wait and grab him after he gets cut in training camp.

If that played out, and we were exceptionally clever, we might be able to nab a 3rd or 4th from the Lions to swap spots. Cleveland moved from 7 to 6 for the price of a 2nd to get Kellen Winslow, if the Lions get antsy, maybe we could even match that. Then snag D'Brick at #9, and maybe pop back into the late 1st with a DB.

The more better prospects there are, the better our options look. Right now, there seem to be seven consensus top picks: Bush, Young, Leinhart, Hawk, Ferguson, Ngata, and Williams. We pick 8th, meaning we could miss out on all of them and take a second-tier prospect. Cutler at worst bumps someone down to us, or even lets us trade the spot to someone who covets him. More prospects, more prospects!

That's not the most notable list of QBs I've ever heard. Garcia had some good throws to Terrell Owens and Jerry Rice ( I think he was still there), Drew Brees lost his job to Flutie before finally coming back out of nowheere, Jon Kitna is a career backup, and Rex Grossman hasn't played a solid 8 games yet. Whew.
