  1. Put them in the category of many good teams that would be SOL if their starter went down. See Jim Sorgi's Colts, Joey Harrington's Dolphins, Anthony Wright's Bengals, and so on.
  2. How about Morten/Gary Anders(e)on? If you wanna talk longevity, they were drafted before teammates were even born.
  3. For the Whitner pick to be successful, he needs to work out better than the other options: Ngata, Bunkley, and Justice. If those three guys are turds, and Whitner is serviceable, then it was the right pick.
  4. The part where it gathers your e-mail seems suspicious to me. I mean, really....
  5. If it's broken down in your database, what about first-half rushing yards and attempts? That should sift out plenty of the coming back/running out the clock parts of it.
  6. From a purely legal perspective, do you have the constitutional right to drive a motorcycle? It seems as though if your car has to pass inspection, etc., there is a self-safety concern that the state can regulate. Also, I suppose, it's legal for insurance companies to decide that motorcyclists are too risky to cover. Legal. Not advisable - I'm just curious.
  7. "Terminated the contract of" is the language they gave it. Also, Matthew Rice and Greg Carothers were released. The latter seems familiar?
  8. He's fast? The tell me his goddamn 40 time!!
  9. If you're putting Thurman above Willis, and giving Travis the #2 spot, what do you do with OJ Simpson and Cookie Gilchrist?
  10. I think I did once. It was a long time ago, Panthers vs. Jets. Shovel pass picked off, returned for a TD, and it was the first win in franchise history.
  11. Well, they're division rivals, so I suppose that makes sense. But Parcells doesn't coach the Giants anymore, he's with the Houston Gamblers.
  12. is 38 the number or the measurement for Youboty?
  13. Of course, the Bills DID spend a first round choice on a lineman this year.
  14. I don't know why nobody is pointing this out, but he signed with the Jags.
  15. I don't think NFL players run 40s anymore, after they're drafted and have jobs. It's not relevant. Go watch him run wind sprints at St. John Fisher or something.
  16. So, let's say that he comes back in 2007, missing this whole season. And let's say that perfectly healthy, he only grades out to being a 3rd round pick. So Saban traded a 2006 7th for a 2007 3rd, in essence, and we're bashing him for it?
  17. This is really a rare, un-inflated set of grades. All B's and C's. Not A+++!!!!!! THEY TOTTALLY GOT LEINART or anything of the sort, not to mention the no "F - could have added a third round pick" on the other side.
  18. After Matt Millen called you yesterday afternoon talking about Sims, your really should have passed that on to Marv. It'd've helped us out.
  19. I wonder - what if we had traded down to get Whitner in the first (netting a third), traded our 2nd and a 3rd to get to the top of the 2nd for McCargo, then the other two thirds to move back into the 2nd to get Youboty, would anyone at all be complaining?
  20. so, in 2007, we clearly have McGee-Youboty-Whitner all starting. But what about FS? Vincent will be very old by then, which means you're down to Baker/Greer/Leonard. Maybe not our problem yet?
  21. I wonder what happens if you go back and review all the 'reaches' that a team makes, vs. the players that seem to have huge falls as compared to the pundits predictions. I mean, Jason Peters was, as I remember, projected to be a 4th round pick - I remember being disappointed when we picked Euhus over him. And that time, they were right - even given the time investment on making him a player, it'd be absurd to not take him on day one. But then, there's always Dwight Freeney and Levi Jones, Kiper's reaches, that turned into players. It's just nobody remembers the other reaches, I think. Except Janikowski and Nugent, but that's even more specialized. Artem Kryiukov?
  22. Unlikely with a 1st round pick vs. two low-round guys. Trading out of the first round is really the only way to get on the cheap, unless for some reason McCargo and the Bills struck a deal saying he'd take a contract on the cheap to make up for the prestige? Doesn't seem likely.
  23. His name is Earvin Johnson. Magic's just his nickname.
  24. If I remember right, trading from the bottom third of the first to the top third of the second seemed to net the New York Jets Doug Jolley last year. Which means we need to give up an overrated/yet unproven tight end. Which means that we're trading Everett. Which means that we're drafting Vernon Davis!!! WOHOOO!!! I gotta stop free-associating.
