  1. No first round wide-receivers or running backs! After that, I think you can make a case for just about any positiong (well, except safety)
  2. Well, no saying that he won't be back again with somebody (Redskins seem like the logical choice) but I'll bet he's done with these jokers.
  3. Well, TO wasn't his doing, that was Owens. But yeah, I'm not sympathetic or anything. Just pointing it out. And their next coach is likely to be worse.
  4. Well, if Drew would take a veteran-backup job, it seems like there are a few that would be pretty well suited. At a million per (if he'd take it), I'd guess the Colts would like to know there's more than Jim Sorgi standing between the end of their season.
  5. Parcells is probably going to hang it up after this year. A WR problem, a nosy owner, and a QB controversy on a team that's not winning games. Hall of famers don't put up with that sh--.
  6. Corey Dillon was a trade.
  7. DaQuixers isn't making anything up, it's right here: http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/mcgahee_willis Now, this isn't a combine time, it's a campus time, and considering he was busted up between the Orange Bowl and the draft, it was from before the knee thing. But still, there you go. 4.24.
  8. It's the buck bucck bucccccackk one that I think is really relevant. 28-3 field goal is utterly pointless.
  9. JP's already won as many games this year as RoJo did in 2001. I'm not worried about that particular comparison.
  10. I'm not really sure why more teams don't run direct snaps (to change the subject) because they're really very low-risk plays. Now, splitting out the QB is unnecessary trickery, but if you run a lot of shotgun anyway, why not snap it to the RB to change up the timing?
  11. Yeah, it's Marv's fault that John McCargo's footbones broke. And regarding Price, so far, he's significantly better than Brandon Lloyd, Antwaan Randle-El, David Givens, Deion Branch, Nate Burleson, Jabar Gaffney, and Joe Jurevicious, to name a few higher-profile FA WR moves this offseason.
  12. I think we need to use him on special teams still. Remember when he blocked a punt, recovered it, and scored?
  13. I can't believe people are still dazzled by a skill-position player like Calvin Johnson - yes he might be great, but it don't matter if you can't protect the quarterback! Randy Moss is a great wide receiver. Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin are great wide receivers. Terrell Owens is a great wide receiver. Roy Williams is a great wide receiver. Andre Johnson is a great wide receiver. They can tear up secondaries and do everything else that we can reasonably expect from Calvin Johnson. They're 8-24 together on the year. None of them have an offensive line that matters. When you have a great offensive line, a border-line talent like Randle-El or Deion Branch can look like a superstar. If you have an offensive line, you can pile on Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne and be a team of superstars. Draft for the lines.
  14. I really don't have any major problems with our one successful play.
  15. So your point is that we should bring in better players than we have now?
  16. Were you watching the same game where Dallas got clobbered when it counted? Romo made some decent throws, and hit his WRs on that garbage time drive, but three picks! They had 59 rushing yards on a game that was mostly close, with 22 coming on admittedly a brilliantly-called draw play. Glenn's numbers were actually worse than Price's this week. Dallas isn't too far from Buffalo, really - a lot of almost-playmakers underacheiving.
  17. So, let's see how champions were made, in terms of big-name free agent signings: Pittsburgh: Roethlisberger, no, Parker, no, Bettis, traded for a million years ago, Ward, no, Randle-El, no...Cedrick Wilson? I think he used to be a Niner. On defense, Polamalu, no, Porter, no, Kimo Van O, no, hmmm. New England: Brady, no, Dillon, no, Branch, no, Light, no, Bruschi, no, Vraebel, no, Samuel, no, Wilson, no, Harrison - okay, there's one. Also, I guess Antowain Smith was a big-time free agent. Ish. Roosevelt Colvin, maybe? Tampa Bay: Brad Johnson WAS a free agent, I'll give you that. So was Michael Pittman, I think.
  18. The Bills lost because the Sabres are hogging all the talent in town.
  19. The answer in 2007? 08? 09? If he's not the answer, does that mean we can't be in the playoffs until at least 2011?
  20. 10? Lessee: McGahee Evans Peters Moorman Lindell Schobel Spikes Fletcher Crowell Clements McGee Whitner I get 12. I guess that's a wash if you weren't counting ST.
  21. Build the line, build the line, build the line. It's worked just about every time it's been tried. In the meantime, if JP's not cutting it by the end of the year, bring in a journeyman and develop a mid-round prospect and hope you get lucky. But Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson won Super Bowls. Dan Marino and Peyton Manning didn't. Build the line.
  22. I'm not saying that we are well coached, but "hiring a Pats coach" isn't a guarantee of anything.
  23. Gradkowski might be the Kyle Orton of '06. 104 passing yards and a fumble. 50% completion rate. Bailed out by a defense that scored again and again.
  24. Nick Saban and Romeo Crennell don't share that winning NE attitude.
  25. So, JSP, are you officially no longer a Bills fan?
