    Yeah, I really thought that Jauron was under contract for at least four seasons, not three. But I mean - I can't imagine Schefter screwed this one up; he clearly talked to people in the organization and has some real information. This isn't just some Rotoworld speculation.

    It's enough to convince me that on defense, you do what you can to get the best ends and tackles you can find, and then rely on getting lucky for the back seven. You can overcome a weak linebacker or questionable safety much easier than a suspect rush from your front guys. Investing in Stroud was a good start; let's get some real production out of Schobel and McCargo this year.

    What causes a line to protect so well against pass rushers and so poorly for Lynch? Just a coincidence of a few plays, or is there something they're not doing right?

    Who's playing for the Colts on the DL tonight? Is it the starters - Freeney, Mathis, etc? Because our offensive line is handling them...Parker can't be liking this.

    What? Doesn't that disqualify every first round pick from being a bust? Who is a bust? Clarence Coleman?

    George, and maybe even Carr kind of make more sense to me - their value got inflated to be "best QB in the draft" when really, they were just mediocre journeymen. But it's the McNowns, Smiths, and Couches that I can't make sense of - how did scouts see them as potential all-pros when they can't beat out the Kelly Holcombs and Gale Gilberts of the world for backup jobs?

    They intercepted Matt Leinart three times last night and scored no points. All game. That's going to be an impressively awful offense.

    that '99 defense really points to how important the D-line is. I'd say we're now better in most of the back 7, but then we get blow away up front. Also, what did we do playing a 3-4 with Williams and Washington?

    It's not about gameplanning, it's about anger. TMQ is half serious, intelligent analysis, and half superstitious bullhonkey, and he doesn't seem to know the difference.

    Like him or hate him. Admire hte poise or hate the arm strength, the man puts together big plays when you're about to give up on him and lousy ones when your hopes are highest. There's no doubt about it: He's a Buffalo Bill.
