  1. The best part is: someone named BenJarvus Green-Ellis will now be relevant in fantasy football. He's got the most names of anyone since Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre
  2. I hope it's not career threatening. Then ESPN would do nothing for the next five years except talk about his odds at getting into the Hall of Fame, and I was really hoping to put that off as long as possible.
  3. Edwards=Eddie. I just got it. Awesome.
  4. That's a good point. The Levy/Brandon/Jauron administration has been an obvious failure. Let's fire'em all, trade Edwards, and start over.
  5. I'm amazed a linebacker goes in the top ten only every other year or so.
  6. Also, Brees has a much better corps of pass-catchers out there: Colston is a Pro Bowl WR, and he's aided by Jeremy Shockey, Reggie Bush, and Devery Henderson. Rivers looks at Gates, checks down to Chambers and remembers he's hurt, and then is stuck with a bunch of also-rans.
  7. There could be a major bloodletting after the season. Mangini, Marvin Lewis, Crennell, Herm Edwards, Wade, Marinelli, and maybe Childress could get fired, and Holmgren and Dungy have already announced plans to retire.
  8. Is there a reason not to have it stadiumwall.twobillsdrive.com?
  9. How many yards would Kelly have added in that '83-'85 run? Ferguson might have started through '83 regardless, so maybe a bonus 6,000 yards? That would certainly be more than Collins will likely pick up between now and the end of his career in January (or even 2009), and enough to hurtle Jimbo past Joe Montana, Johnny Unitas, and several others and thus into 10th place all-time (and possibly into the top 5 at the point he retired).
  10. Philip Rivers is going into the last year of his rookie deal in 2009. I'd watch his negotations with the Chargers very carefully; Trent and Russ will be.
  11. Brad Johnson is playing QB for them. He's years old, and was drafted in the 1992 draft. Notable Bills from that class include John Fina, Troy Vincent (not drafted by us, of course), Matt Darby, and Keith Goganious.
  12. Linemen, Freddie, Marshawn - this is when you earn your pay. Grind out the clock.
  13. Nobody can watch the game unless they're at the stadium. There are no working cameras without power; there will be no highlights.
  14. You can't show a game across from a home game, so since the Giants are playing at 1pm in the Meadowlands on Fox, CBS cannot show a 1pm game. We NYC fans get an afternoon of the Giants, the Jets, and no other games.
  15. I think we should trade the pick to the Vikings for their 7th round picks, in perpetuity.
  16. I can't believe people continue to be surprised when one of the world's most successful corporations acts in its short-term financial interest.
  17. According to PFT, he failed a phyiscal and the trade was voided. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/10/15/...fails-physical/
  18. That's nothing. What if we had drafted Tom Brady instead of Erik Flowers?
  19. New game plan: Throw deep to Evans every play and pass rush for sacks. Call it the Tecmo Strategy.
  20. Is he good at blocking?
  21. The Bills' most notable free agents after the season are Fred Jackson and Jabari Greer. I love those guys, but I think we could overcome their loss.
  22. http://buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=6710 No word on years or dollars, but it's "multi-year" UPDATE: 4 years, $37M, $18M in guarantees. He'll be a Bill through the 2012 season, meaning we'll have a 32-year-old WR on our hands when we decide if we want to keep him around even longer. Look for the Bills to draft a WR in the first round of the 2011 draft.
  23. I'll care about the Titans when they come to the Ralph in the playoffs.
  24. Will Haslett take over?
  25. I don't think Mort knows what irony is.
