Last weekend estimates for driving to OP early morning of the game then staying overnight in Hamburg: $160 gas $20 coffee / snacks $25 tailgate food (only 3 of us so extremely minimal) $35 parking $75 beer (in game & tailgate) $120 post game dinner & beers (3 people) $175 comfort inn Hamburg for a night (2 double beds & a pullout sofa) and my seasons average out to about $1100 a piece annually I believe

Yep, just got some texts from a friend saying Buffalo has taken over. We had entertained the idea of going but other stuff came up. I’m sure it’s an awesome time, hopefully it’s the same case at this time tomorrow night…😬

We went this summer after about a 6-7 year hiatus (for no good reason) and had a blast. Some of the new rides were amazing. Steel Vengence is now my all time favorite coaster.

I usually train for a few months and run a half every year in the fall then take some time off and just do shorter runs and maybe an occasional 5k. I think I’ve done 9 half’s. Would love to do a full sometime but I’d definitely be a one and done. I have utmost respect for “real” distance runners (not people like me). I did not do the half this fall so I’ve been slacking and need to get back out there.

Was really hoping for Saturday for this game. Still enough time to get up there and tailgate, do the game, only 1 hotel game and no time off work. That’s what happens when you lose 9-6 to the Jags and get blown out of the water at home to the Colts though. They’re running out of mulligans quickly…

I’ve been in line around 1230 for last two games and gotten in within about 10 minutes no problem. Lines look long but have been moving fast. My experience so far has been a quick flash of my phone using the clear app and business as usual.

Need to get over to some local seafood places if you want good grub down there (means driving unfortunately). Safe Harbor in mayport and dockside seafood in Jax beach are casual places but great local fresh caught places. I agree Ruth’s Chris is prob best you’re getting otherwise. Although I’m sure the hooters over on the landing is probably still rocking…😂

I dunno, I kinda like it the way it is. I like the fact in the nfl that you generally get there with the guys that have been around all year. I’m actually not a huge fan of the nhl’s “player rental” season.

Lot X was definitely a surreal experience that day. I wasn’t really even that mad we lost, I was just happy the weight of the drought was lifted. If you would have told me at that moment we’d be where we are right now, I’d have probably suggested a psychiatric evaluation 😂

I was originally booked to go but had to cancel due to some other commitments. Kinda bummed, I like staying over on Jax beach. Would have been a good golf, beach, seafood & beer weekend!

Would not be in favor of this. I think Trubisky is the perfect backup for this team this year and I don’t think the potential return would be worth it.

Was planning on trying Nine Eleven this weekend but timing got thrown off a bit and the wait would have been too long so we went with Gabriel’s as plan B (also still very long wait but was staying around the corner so could head back to the hotel and have beers while waiting). First time I’ve had a bit of an “off” experience there. They were slammed so things were slow which is totally understandable. Service was good, wings were not as crispy as they always are. Guessing they were rushing a bit just because of how busy they were. Still good, just not what I’m used to there. Still need to try nine eleven sometime this year.

He was the reason we won yesterday. Great game.
