What is better, no guns, or more guns?

Combine it with unrestricted access to the internet and it creates a dangerous combination. -
How Much Is an Order of Chicken Wings Where You At?

Don’t have to go to the Bering Sea for Chicken though. -
So do nothing? Are you saying it’s pointless to explore why this happens and what we can do to prevent it short of confiscating all guns?
-
I think lots of people want to, the problem is nobody (aka our elected officials) actually will. Because for the most part, they don’t give a crap (outside of how they can use these horrible events to their political advantage). All “we the people” do is get in circular arguments and mudslinging until the next one happens. I’m a gun owner and I’m a proponent of maintaining that right WITH restrictions. Close the “gun show” loopholes. Expand background checks. Make it damn near impossible to get body armor and high capacity / military style weapons. None of that will solve the problem, but it’s something. It might prevent one incident from happening and that alone is worth it. Unfortunately, I think more drastic security measures are needed for securing our schools, grocery stores, churches, etc. It sucks to think about sending your kid through a TSA type situation every day just to go into school but if that’s what it takes, so be it. At the same time, people blaming ALL gun owners for mass shootings are no more helpful than the ones posing with ARs on their Christmas cards. It’s lazy and contributes nothing whatsoever to the solution.

This is a pathetic thing to say.

That’s the rub, it’s not about selling more tickets. (Hence the stadium capacity decreasing)

Sure there is. I’m all for anything at this point, it certainly can’t hurt. Im a gun owner and have zero problem with stricter gun laws. If it prevents one incident, it’s helped. I guess I’m just cynical, but its hard (or maybe impossible?) to completely eliminate the crazy from people. And that’s the depressing part. (To be clear, I’m not saying “since we can’t stop it, do nothing”)

Just saying playing internet psychologist doesn’t really help anything here. Problem is, nothing does. It’s tough for rational people to try and explain an irrational act of horrific violence like this. Like I said, hurling blame at this point does nothing except continue to diminish the victims lives and just turns the whole thing into another debate. No clue what the answer is, but it sucks. I don’t like living in a world where I might be out grocery shopping with my kid and could be mowed down by some whacko. I get everyone is angry and I am too. Just wish that anger could actually be effectively channeled somehow and not just turn into the “usual”. Its not my job to tell people how to react or feel, so I’m sorry for the tone of my last post. And you’re right, “thoughts & prayers” doesn’t do squat either. Tough to come up with anything reasonable to say at this point. It just sucks

Unspeakable tragedy and being “right” is the most important thing on some peoples mind. Sorry, but this is a hot garbage take. This kind of stuff does nothing to help the problem. Got any lotto numbers I can have too since you have such a gift of foresight? Anyone who is making this about anything but the victims at this point, should just STFU. I don’t have any clue what the answer is to any of this, but I know it’s not this. Actually as I’m writing this, I’m realizing that by even responding in here, I’m part of the problem too. The internet is detrimental to a large percentage of the population (myself included) and it’s only going to get worse.

Same here. Was hoping for a nice early to mid fall evening game for the Cincy game. May still try to shoot down there for it but probably will be kind of a last minute thing depending on holiday schedules / weather / where the teams are at, etc.

This isn’t an investment situation. This is pay to play.
-
In the survey, the Bills presented 3 options for the PSL. I think it was : 1) pay in full upfront 2) pay in 3 equal but interest free installments leading up to completion of the stadium 3) spread payment over long term but pay with interest

I’ll be keeping mine in some form. Im in 109 now, would consider some of the “cheaper” club options depending on the price. Price of current club seats is probably about my limit though, so I may be “downgrading” depending on what final numbers look like.
-
Just completed it a bit ago. My general sense is the “cheapest” season tickets are going to be more like the most expensive ones now (non club). This is much more in line with current nfl pricing

2022 Concerts: Who Is Everyone Going to See?

Yeah I’ll usually do 4-5 shorter clips (30-45 seconds) of maybe a few of my favorites and that’s it. Enough to re watch and smile. -

I saw the offspring a couple years ago and they were still pretty good! I actually like that new album they put out a year or two ago. When I saw tool a couple months back they had signs everywhere reminding everybody of their no phone policy. Some moron in my row kept filming anyways. After about the 4th or 5th warning, they threw him out. Hilariously, before the last song about 15 minutes later, Maynard said “ok ****heads you can take your stupid little fing phones out for this last one”. unfortunately, many did 🤦🏻♂️ -
The air must be nice up there! Guy is a complete a hole, perfectly understandable for the majority of us to be happy about his new team failing. No need to try and place a level of importance that is completely unnecessary. It’s sports, we’re not here for morality points.

It’s already been studied and yes it has been reported in some limited cases. Typically an acute event, usually with those that are cannabis naive, and usually when ingesting edibles. More worrisome in that regards is the synthetic cannabinoids that have been developed to “skirt” / exploit loopholes in cannabis drug law. These substances are much more potent and have higher efficacy at the CB1 receptor, which can lead to undesirable outcomes (many of which have made the news). Cannabis is not the be all end all. There are negative effects. At the same time though, there are many positive effects that have just begun to be understood. I feel like there are many other drugs on the market that are FDA approved, that have a MUCH higher risk profile associated with them (cough cough, opiates).

The more research that is able to be done, the more we will find with regards to its’ therapeutic potential. There is a lot of “trial and error” because it has historically been so difficult to perform research due to its’ schedule 1 status. It’s an exciting field, although I’m admittedly biased since I’m currently working on a masters degree in medical cannabis science & therapeutics!
