I rode the hotel elevator with them last year the night before the game vs the fish in Buffalo. Seemed like super nice people from the brief interaction. I didn’t even realize it was them until his mom said something like “did you grab that jacket or did we leave it at Josh’s place”.

Had a couple pre game good luck beers at the new Bills bar here in town.

Had a couple friends that took P-Chem. One was even crazy enough to be a chemistry major 😳. Yeah, no thanks to any of that!

I managed to squeak out a C in O-chem back in the day. Good thing Cs get degrees! (Did drop it one semester though and re take it over the summer because I had heard it was “easier” 😈)

I think I’ve told this story in a similar thread here before but I also ran into Danny here in Cbus at the bar after a Sabres / Jackets game. He commented on my jersey and I thanked him and called him by name and that was all it took. I think he was happy to be recognized as he had been doing some work for CBJ for a couple years and I doubt any locals could pick him out. Super nice guy. We shot the bull for quite a while. It’s a bit fuzzy as I had quite a few pops in me but at one point he introduced me to his daughter 😳. Also unprompted, he somehow came up with a sharpie and signed the front crest of my jersey on the Buffalo. Which would have been awesome, but it was a LaFontaine jersey 😐😂…. “Surreal” is a good way to put the whole situation.

What a POS

For the first time in what seems like forever I’m genuinely excited for the start of the season. Not just the curiosity factor. It was great last year having watchable hockey again. Have a feeling the days of games just being background noise are coming to an end.

Even here in Cbus with the complete Buckeye focus / homerism, I catch myself thinking the same thing about just now amateur hour WGR is. I think Howard and Jeremy do a good job in the morning and I like listening to them when driving home the morning after a game. Sal is ok but the afternoon guys are brutal. The guys on here at least have some knowledge and can speak somewhat intelligently about sports outside of Buckeye football. Schopp & Bulldog aren’t even very knowledgeable about football, their “bread & butter”.

Theres a subset of Bills fans that will never be happy. They’d be calling into GR during the super bowl parade calling for the coaches head because he “wasted” a timeout or something.

I know I definitely had a couple playing hockey growing up. Luckily not serious enough to seek medical attention, and pretty mild symptoms overall so don’t think they were too bad. It wasn’t really a “thing” back then so i just went on about my business 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I was having the same issue the other day while I was flying during the Thursday night game. Could not get the app to recognize my subscription. Finally was able to get the game to pull up in a browser. Definitely frustrating as hell, and I didn’t even pay for the service (free with my season tickets)
