  1. Those turnovers (At least Lamars pick + Andrew's fumble ) were caused by our D pressuring Lamar and punching out the ball on Andrews. Also we still had 1:30 with 2 TOs left for a field goal to win. This team won. Allen played mistake free. On to the KC refs.
  2. Only way ti beat the chefs is to beat them by 2 or 3 scores otherwise the refs will give it to them every time.
  3. Both teams have improved since the last time they played. Both teams will be prepared, motivated, and well coached. I dont think it will be a high scoring game - I think itll stick around the 20s for both teams just because they will be playing hard and tight for every inch. It will be a battle and will come down to trenches and turnovers. Who makes 1 more play and who makes 1 more mistake.. Excited but not looking forward to the stress on Sunday night 😕
  4. Allen can absolutely control the pace of the game with his legs by choosing to take off. I think against the Ravens he will have to do that to keep that D line tired and keep moving chains. It's what Lamar does all the time to opposing teams. He literally controlled that 1st half against Pittsburgh by just moving the chains with his legs. Givem a dose of their own medicine, except instead of a ballerina like Lamar 17's a sledge hammer. By the 2nd half they will soften up.
  5. I think Josh still has a path to MVP! Lamar getting 1st team all pro is fine. For the 1st time in NFL history a player led the league in Yards / pass and Yards / Run and by every old and new metric (qbr, pass rating/dvoa) was the most efficient QB on a good team against a harder Strength of Schedule than the bills. BUT- Josh was very close and with no doubt a worse team. I think AP understands this (at least they should) and rightfully gives Lamar the 1st All Pro and should rightfully give Allen the "MOST VALUABLE" to his team trophy.. All-Pro is for the best player in the regular season. MVP is for the "most valuable" player to his team. At least in my mind. Either way- the one who gets past Mahomes is the real MVP...
  6. Pittsburgh getting Fields for a 6th and Wilson for a few million are the best moves this off season. They have the lowest risk highest potential values. They remade their entire future in a week of Free Agency. Having said that winning Free Agency doesn't mean a whole lot. In September we'll get to see the real roster and with JA17 at the helm we will be contenders again.
  7. Shakir is a good football player and would be good to keep as #3/ slot type WR. But once Defenses start planning for him I think he wouldn't fare well as #2. Ideally you want a real #1 and #2 and let Shakir play his role which he would then Dominate within the context of his plays in the offense. If he is forced to becoming a #2 Beane didn't do the best job he could in the offseason.
  8. I can understand Lamar for mvp over Allen given the context of his division and what he did this season. But how could Lamar be on this offensive player of yr list without Allen is something I dont understand. If anything this is the stat metric award more than any of the other awards..
  9. We need WRs but we also need Defense- anywhere at any level. Not sure how effective Milano will be on return. Look at KC and Baltimore- they're defenses are great and they are still competing. Mahomes had an off year and look where they are right now. We need a Defense who can go late rounds with Mahomes, Lamar, Burrow and now Harbaugh led Chargers in the AFC. Josh is Josh- you can put a scrap heap around him and he'll make the offense work. We should draft a WR but I think we can comb through FA for pass catchers too. We really need to reload D and get high quality talent there to contend I think.
  10. MVP has never been a stat award (Drew Brees?) Once you come to terms with that- it's easy to see why Lamar is going to be the MVP. It's the best player on the best team (with good enough stats). The Ravens played in the hardest division in the league (3 teams made the playoffs, all 4 teams winning records). Not only that- the teams they played outside their division were also playoff contenders Det, SF, Mia, Rams, etc. Lamar was consistent and controlling and limited mistakes. He allowed the defense on Baltimore to thrive by sustaining long drives and controlling opposing defenses with his legs and arms while minimizing turnovers. They were beyond the point where he needed to air it out in many games. They have the most wins over 14 points in a season ever in the history of the NFL. that's crazy if you think about it. They blew teams out and he had no reason to try and pass/pad stats to keep score. He just did the best, on the best team, and was pretty consistent within the context of this years players. Would I rather have JA17? Yes. Allen is a better passer and I would say almost as good a runner, and possibly in his own way- a better runner than Lamar. But is Lamar the MVP over JA17 this year? Yes. Lamar was more consistent in what he had to do to get his team to the top of the league than Josh.
  11. If lamar had a tyrod taylor performance what was Josh's performance last night? Either way this Baltimore team is the closest there is to dominant. they dominated both of the NFC teams in the Championship game and I have a feeling with their Safeties and LBS will have a shot at not just winning but dominating KC too. We will see but I'm sick of seeing taylor cheering like a hyena after every big play.
  12. All we needed was one of those big bombs to land and I think Davis would've made one of them. I know the season he had but he's different in the playoffs.
  13. Never thought id get sick of seeing taylors face but im fkn sick of it now
  14. Agree with this but this is true with most any QB. It's hard to do on them. Other teams have been trying to stop it all season. Lamar has seen this so much they have the plays to beat this. McD has to really figure out how they've evolved and try to attack them. This is not the same team we've handled before and Lamar is a better, more seasoned player. He could've choked yesterday as is the norm and he didn't. Look at how he adjusted at the half He played mistake free, winning football, and controlled the game with his legs. No matter what people say about his passing not being elite- it's good enough and with his legs he is the one who paces the games and controls the clock. It's not going to be easy going into Baltimore and stopping him. I'm praying we don't have any more injuries after shellacking the Swifties and we ideally need to add a few defenders coming off injuries heading into Baltimore. Oh and Baltimore also has a day or 2 of more rest than us. It's going to be a dogfight and we will need the kind of game Lamar played against the Texans- by Allen. Mistake free, winning football. Heroics won't win that game IMO and if we get into that situation that D will feast. Their linebackers are elite and their secondary with Hamilton is opportunistic. In fact every level of their Defense is good to great and I don't think we will have many opportunities if they are executing their game plan...
  15. Ravens had the most wins while playing in the winningest division in the NFL. They literally blew out playoff caliber teams week in week out. Lamar didnt need 50 tds they were already up on their opponents by the 4th q. We barely scrapped into the playoffs and played a lighter schedule. Give jackson his due. We have another MVP we are eyeing.
