Stephon Gilmore holding out?
Ghost_002! replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Given what the thread had turned into the premise also answers the thread as well. Players hold out all the time for more money and also do not always attend OTAs. Just as well as coaches and teams don't honor contracts. Reg NFL business. -
Stephon Gilmore holding out?

Accuse you? You aren't on trial here so I don't know if "accuse" is the right word you should be using in this context. It's not that serious . And as you wrote in your very very long dictation. It's not hard for anyone to assume something and then look for any clarification. And yes you should want to face anyone. Since you are just a fan, you aren't out there game planning or playing anyone. I am sure the bills don't see facing the pats as a cake walk, but some fans here seem to act like after just one season its now the bills who will be dominating for 20 plus years... That last sentence I probably shouldn't of said. I don't want to "accuse" you of anything.

How exactly do you come to this conclusion after a short period of time no less. Nothing that happened last year indicates BB was along for the ride. Did BB screw up the personal in NE and sec guess if Brady could still be effective, yes. But nothing after 1 year tells a 20 plus year reign. It's still a team sport. QBs don't play defense and the bucs roster was light years ahead of the pats roster. Like I said if Brady had taken the lions to a SB and won it. I would understand this narrative TB>>>BB. But too short of a time table to gather any conclusion. How about given it a couple more seasons.

Are we gonna keep doing this every time? What's Walsh without Montana.. How was Jimmy Johnson away from the Cowboys Please with the same tired excuse about his time in Cleveland. Tom Brady is Tom Brady because of BB (not saying he himself didn't play a role). He won a SB without BB because he went to a team who already had an offense just needed someone who was not gonna throw 13 picks. Nothing against Brady but it ain't like he took the Detroit Lions to the SB and won.. Proof of what BB coaching is was last year, even his last SB was won without Tom Brady doing anything.

Football is about schemes. Always has been. People need to stop looking at what is on paper and drawing conclusions. He still one of the best coaches n the nfl...and has won many different ways. If he has to play with run first offense then he will...they won 7 seven last year with a horrible roster. Their roster has improved, he still one of the greater game planners in the league.. The dude has made a name for his self. Stopping high profile QBs w his defense. Be worried about that than whose behind center.

Mac Jones vs Zach Wilson

Newton is just god awful. i dont wanna spend a whole year watching his hurky/jerky throwing motion, oh god no! But you are right, i think that will be the case. More than likely BB is going to "red shirt" Jones for a year and play Newton. Unless Jones really shows signs of being ready now plus injuries like you said. Yea i can say that is a fair assessment for both team. Yea, NE defense from last year will not be the same in anyway this season. That was the COVID-team so to speak. BB didnt intent to play some of the players he had to player. at times he was using Safeties as LBs because they were so thin. This year i expect them to be totally different, very solid and deep on the defensive side of the ball. They should make the playoffs/wild card should be able to compete for the division....keyword: should be...but we will see. -

I am from Boston. It was reported the coaching staff does not like the fact he doesn't have that take charge attitude. Over the summer when he should of came into camp with the intend to beat out whoever was there, he was back home attending a wedding. Then he got hurt in camp and again never really acted like he wanted it bad enough. yea that organization man...just something about them i feel whoever goes there will always suck no matter what. Watch Darnold become most improved player next year. -

that's not completely true...stidham in very very limited appearances (garbage time) had completed 50% percent of his passes with 2 TDs and 3 INTs. He doesn't see the field because the coaching staff does not believe he has what it takes to be a leader.(take charge kind of person) Really nobody knows what he is. That's not saying he is a hidden gem or could be a hidden gem. Just he didnt do enough in the off season/training camp for the coaching staff to think he wanted the job. -

Nothing offensively will ever help Cam Newton at this point, he is done in my opinion, but their TEs are now the best in division. Their RB maybe even 3rd down back is the best in their division, and their Oline is will be pretty good. Wide outs are an upgrade, anything is better from last year and the won seven games considering. BB could win with serviceable wide outs, don't need top tier wide outs win. -

How if they upgraded at TE and Wide out? Their offensive talent last year was dirt poor bad, just what they did alone in free agency was an improvement to their offense. -

To add..most Franchises do not follow up with the second coming to their Franchise QB. Saint didn't Pittsburgh doesn't have one Colts had to tank to get luck which he became injured Denver didn't w Elway..and waited awhile to get Manning The fins didn't after Marino..there are a host of other teams. BB does deserve some criticism for drafting but you guys are not doing your homework Cause he drafts decent defensive players..he sucks on the offensive end of the ball but again most Franchises do not draft their second coming.. Who knows if Love can play after Rodgers leaves... -

This is not true. He missed a would be touchdown yes, but he was not the reason why SF lost. Shannahan being Shanahan was the reason. He had the Chiefs on the ropes and spent too much time over thinking the situation after being up. Same thing he did as a offensive coordinator for the falcons when they were in the SB. This can be said about every rookie QB though. Alabama is no slouch on defense which he faced in practice and Ohio State defense did beat the crap out of Trevor Lawrence before facing Alabama and Jones for the championship. He's tested enough. Whether that will pan out in the NFL..i have no clue.....I still wanted Fields. -

for a QB.....their 40 time is the least thing scouts are looking at. (that's not me being pro Jones..) Just that doesn't matter as much. Yea but you never know. P.Manning threw 28 ints as a rookie being thrown to the wolves as well. As they say "Pressure bust pipes..." -

Yea I don't even know how much stake you should even put in what these QBs did, or played with in college. Aaron Rodgers was drafted No. 24 and played for Cal. How that work out? -

I wanted Fields as well but the Pats like all the things Jones is capable of (accurate and intelligent) those aren't bad attributes., so we will see. -

Don't need a 40 time when you can walk on water. 😉 -

Yea something tells me no matter who the Pats drafted plenty of Blils fans will down play it. Even if it was Jesus himself. -
No problem man. Again thank you for welcoming me, thank you for having a discussion with me. This country needs to do more of this. Sorry to hear your daughter was in that situation but glad she is ok. That is one of the things that scares me about getting ready to send my step-daughter out into the world as she is getting ready for college. I think that is partially one of the reasons I am back in the gym, so I can dropkick anyone who harms her (god forbid that never happens) May you and your family continue to be safe and blessed. Like you in an effort not to detrail the thread any further. The Zimmer person approach Travyon after the dispatcher told him not to, they tussled with him losing the tussle. It wasn't him getting his butt whooped, he more lost the wrestling match they were having, maybe received one punch...and the snow shoveling incident that I am talking about, I do not think many seen it. I can't remember where, but it was a police man shoving snow in the face of a black man, appearing to suffocate him as he was trying to make an arrest. The man was already in handcuffs and on his knees. I agree with you about the teen that was shot in Ohio, the whole situation sucks all around.

Totally agree!

I do not understand what you mean or what are you trying to say? Where did I go wrong in responding to you about athletes kneeling? I don't even understand where I swung and missed the first time (shrug shoulders). I never said athletes were a special case. I said they were people like you an d I, where they work at is different than the average joe's 9 to 5. The major sport that they play in is govern different than again the average joe's 9 to 5. You are cool to have your feelings or opinion, still doesn't mean I can't or anyone can't have a debate with you. Also we do not have to agree either. I said that. Who is CK? You might have to give me more details about that situation? Where did i say, i agreed with Kaep wearing "cops are pigs" socks? I know i spoke about kneeling, never mention anything about socks!? And again, going right back to what i said before "i do not think i have ever said you or anyone opposite of my opinion on athletes kneeling do not have the right to your opinion or you do not have the right to dislike it" so in this post here police, ANYONE can have an issue with it. They also do not have to watch the sport, Again doesn't mean there can't be a debate or it doesn't mean someone's point or points on the matter can't be challenged. I am not quite sure what is your issue. Do you have a problem with anyone debating your posts? and for the 3rd time asking for equality is not political. What is DJT? Trump was not passionate about the flag for those who are, i can understand that and respect that. And others have passion for not wanting to see black people judge by the color of their skin. I want to be able to wear a hoodie and not have someone feel they are the law even as a neighborhood watchman and get into a confrontation with me and all I had was a bag of skittles in my hand or in my pocket. ( trayvon martin) Or not have a knee on my neck, or snow shoved in my face by the men and women who are suppose to serve and protect. (i am not saying all cops have done this) Again that is the reason for protesting, that was the reason for Keap kneeling....he wanted to bring to light a ongoing issues that some black people face. He found a peaceful way to do it but instead of it bringing positive dialogue it was met with distain and people not willing to understand the purpose, People trying to make it out to be something it NEVER WAS.
