  1. 1st off, I said "some fans" where does that group you into anything. If i need to say you, i would say you. 2nd I dont have to guarantee anything or be scared to say what i feel. None of it makes me less of a fan or makes anything I post less valid. Ok.
  2. It's untrue to say Brady, Manning..etc did not play in a "tough era" of football. The rule changes to QBs started in 06. They were already playing and winning then. That's the thing. To play as a QB in the NFL what matters most is that thing between your ears. The ability is a small part of the equation. As cerebral as Manning was...he didnt perform as great in the playoffs as he did in the regular season.
  3. It's all the same once you stop thinking as a "homer" (not directing that at you) I don't think Bills will go 11-6 either, I think their record will be better than that, but if not. 11-6 is not a bad record and they are still in the playoffs and would still be a threat to be in the SB.
  4. Is that what i did? "i dont think SD will be a problem...." some how that means i guaranteed something? And even if i did and they don't and? Some Bills fans think they are going to win the SB this year, and if they don't?
  5. If we are going to say "that was last year" then that applies to every game against every team this year, right? Yes i do. I don't think think SD will be a problem, BB in general has never had an issue beating any SD Chargers team. So we are going to go with the any given sunday logic, which is fine. So why we "mad" that SI has the bills at 11-6? Any given sunday right?
  6. He mentioned San Deigo could be them, I gave the score of last year's game with a worse lineup.
  7. They beat San Diego last season 45-0 w Cam Newton and the Covid lineup. Herbert had 2 picks, again that was with their Covid roster.
  8. You think when he goes into the HOF and is still consider the greatest coach of all time, they will put that on his headstone?...in fact you should start a petition.
  9. How often do you think BB is or will be completely honest with the media? Especially when it comes to matters about his team? Not saying he probably wasn't telling the truth. Just i take crap he says with a grain of salt.
  10. I would take your word for it. I would take your word for it. I never heard it or got the vibe..but then again a fan is gonna fan..I sure you guys know that from your own fan base
  11. I could see him being better than Jimmy G in practice n preseason games. Jimmy G was the type to perform better during real games.. But BB pretty much showed everyone what he thought of Stidham early. Picking up Newton late in the off season, the Chiefs game where Hoyer was God awful and BB still waited to late sec half to put Stidham in the game. Or the dozen times Newton didn't look good. Stidham still never really got in.
  12. What Patriot fan said this?? Stidham at one point last season was behind Newton and Hoyer. He barely ever saw the field last season. How could a Pats fans hype him if they never saw him!? I remember pats fans wanting him to play cause the thought was he had to be better than Newton and Hoyer ....
  13. I think he is intriguing to some because he is a Patriot now, if he was with another team nobody here would be focusing on him like that. (Not dissing anyone) Look at how many rookie QBs are starting this year and how many 2nd year QBs will be playing. To me Lawrence w Meyer is a more intriguing, Hurts, Tua, Burrow, Herbert etc..again I am not trying to crap on what topic people decide to talk about..just saying.
  14. https://www.boston.com/sports/new-england-patriots/2021/09/01/brian-hoyer-patriots/ Patriots re-sign QB Brian Hoyer to back up Mac Jones The Patriots announced they’ve re-signed quarterback Brian Hoyer on Wednesday, one day after cutting the 12-year veteran. The move to cut Hoyer was procedural, and multiple reporters correctly predicted the Patriots planned to bring him back .............. I swear people don't care to think. They have their backup...he wasn't going into the season without one.
  15. What is there to "bask in?"
  16. My main point. its not even about BB and the pats, just a general statement. Not saying, not having a backup isn't important And really about BB the man has been coaching since the 70s like do people honestly think he has no idea what a 53 man roster should consists of?? Please tell me what he is doing wrong in this scenario ?
  17. Who cares about a teams backup?? No coach wants to leave theirs teams destiny in the hands of a backup. So...
  18. Reading some bills fans claiming to have heard pats fans making playoff plans, Funny because some bills fans act like their team already won a SB.
  19. And you would be wrong. The beginning of that season BB was already thinking about switching QBs. And he is not right, he(BB) spent 20 years with one QB which he helped developed like what was he supposed to do? Get rid of him so he can prove to a small majority he is more than a coach who coached Tom Brady.
  20. I get that, but he is just now starting his career and i found out that some coaches, when they do these preseasons games, they get together and talk what they want each other's team to work on. So at least for the most part that was not what their focus for Jones was on top of the fact Agholor didn't give them the opportunity to make that throw. They did have a 3rd and long to Harry that Harry messed up. a lot of timing routes and just this past game with the Giants...i can't remember if it was Joe Judge or BB, but one of them asked the other to have their team blitz a lot so they could see how their QB handles it. No that is not why they did it, it's nothing to do with circumventing the system. They want to go with the rookie (among other things) and Cam was not going to be the backup.
  21. They reported that the 3 reasons Cam was released was 1. COVID 2. Jones out played him and 3. he(CAM) did not really impressed them all that much and geez, if he could be half of Brady i would love that....their receivers (or lack of..) worry me, and i don't see BB really putting an effort into upgrading, or even knowing how to do that.
  22. Yes you are right, i don't think they are going to be run, run all the time, hence the two TEs and Cam being release. BB is no way trying to run the same type of offense they did last year. They want their QBs to make throws; back shoulders, outs to backs, the strikes down the middle, alot of timing routes (especially those. Those do not get their immobile QBs killed) similar to how they ran with Brady. Yea by no means do I think the patriots are trying to replicate what they did or what they had with Brady, No that is gone, that was a once in a lifetime phase. This is just about being competitive again.
  23. That is the problem people continue to think brady brady brady....they are not looking to replicated Brady success their philosophy has always been this way. They draft with this offense in mind, they look for a certain receiver to run routes a certain way, it all goes as one. They aren't doing this because it worked for Brady. THis is how they like to play and hence why they go out and grab up two TEs. They aren't an offense that wants to rely heavily on receiver's. I doubt that is the outcome, BB is not high on Stidham in anyway and there hasn't been any discuss about Stidham since his injury.
  24. That's not what he will be asked to do and it's not the patriots offense. And you missed the throw he made to Harry on a 3rd and long plus Brady made a career out of doing the opposite here.
