Anyone else who watched the game last night Thankful that Burrow is out of the AFC EAST?  I was pretty impressed with his performance, preparing in a short week for his first 'road' game.

Thank you Ryan Fitzpatrick.  Loved you in a Bills uniform, but love you just as much for avoiding the tank last year!  Keep up the good work!

Ryan Fitzpatrick... good enough to screw your team out of a good QB.

Whether it’s pass, run or triple option, in no way, shape or form are Dodson or Klein in the same league as Milano and Edmunds. Don’t fool yourself, Dodson and Klein are a sharp drop off and Fitz or Chan Gailey can take them apart. Bills may need 30 points to win.

No they cant, Fitz cant beat top 10 defenses. Bills will probably score more than 30 but it will not be close. Hell we might even see Tua :)

I think if Fitz is going to cut this team up it is going to be in the short and mid-range game. And with Milano and Edumonds out I could see Klein (who is a better run defender than a pass defender) being picked on in the short range game. Fitz did have some success passing last year too. I just wouldn't get too confident about this game, yes I expect the Bills to win even with Milano and Edumonds out but this isn't going to be an easy win especially with the two LB's out.

If I had to predict the score I would say 31-21 Bills but the Bills are only up one score late. It just seems like one of those trap type games where the injuries to the LB corps can be exploited by the Fins in the passing game.

Nah Fitz has never been good against top 10 defenses. This team is still easily top 10 without those two.

I like Ed Oliver to be the elite guy on the D-line, I think he will be a Pro-Bowl player this year and down the line a possible All-Pro. But I do agree that the line is more so comprised of Average players in depth roles and moderately above average players starting. The O-line is a sum of their parts. Mitch in my opinion is a top 5 center, elite top 3 pass protecting center and an average or so run blocker but a key leader at a position where that matters a lot. Dawkins is a lower top 10 LT but the rest of the O-line are solid players. Spain solid middle of the road guard, Ford is a decent player, Feliciano a solid starting caliber guard, Ty a solid tackle, Winters is a high end backup low end starter and Bates a swiss army knife good depth player.

Overall I am impressed at the depth on both sides of the line. The O-line is built more so in the vein of the Giants O-lines from the late 2000's and early 2010's. Five average to above average players who have great chemistry with one another and play as a strong unit. There might not be a lot of elite perennial Pro-Bowl talent on there but there is no weak link and the chemistry will hopefully (if they can keep Mongo for 2-3 more years and Ford continues to improve) be there to the point where so many of these guys have 3-4 years playing with each other.

No win in the NFL should be taken for granted. Edumonds and Milano being out will make the middle of the defense vulnerable. Klein I think I can fill in at one position and be decent but hopefully the other guys can hold the fort for one game. I do agree that it is better to even risk losing to Miami than to risk injury to two critical starters especially if the risk to losing in Miami is lower than average.

This is Fitzpatrick we are talking about... If they are playing well he will give us some INTs to make sure they lose.

I like what some have recently said on this board about the HOF. Remember, it’s the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of Stats. Basically, if you tell the story of the NFL does Player X need to be mentioned? In many ways Bledsoe was a part of the beginning of the pass-happy NFL. He also gave us an all-time nickname: Drew Bledsoe-much-he-needed-a-transfusion.

Ok so basically he will be in the HoF for being average... Can't wait to see Fitz get in.

It's early, I know, but judging by what Beane, McD, and his teammates said about him before last Sunday, and then watching his performance against the Jests, it is clear that I completely missed the boat on wanting him out of Buffalo.  I don't think players read this site but if they do, then Mr. Murphy, you have my sincere apology.

This Bills' DL is fierce, and Murphy is a significant part of that.

    Yea we know...

These guys were complete jerks towards Josh Allen, and this isn't the first time they've done this to him.

I will never watch this show again when these two clowns are on it.....complete garbage from these guys!!

I think Bills Mafia need to get on these guys twitter accounts and let them know what we think of their opinions of Josh Allen!

Why would I watch that ***** let alone skip to a part where they are talking?

It's interesting that both Allen and Darnold work out together all off-season and both have been religiously working with Jordan Palmer.  It appears to have had a positive affect on Josh as he's steadily improved and we saw that in his passing this Sunday as he starts his 3rd year.  Here is the write-up on Darnold's performance on The Athletic after reviewing the tape

Sorry, paid site link, but I'll quote a bit of it:

    https://theathletic.com/2064818/2020/09/14/after-further-review-23-next-day-thoughts-after-the-jets-week-1-beatdown/

"We talked a lot about Darnold after the game. It felt warranted after the quarterback’s poor performance. After watching the film on Monday, I probably wasn’t harsh enough on the 23-year-old.

The biggest concern on rewatch, though, was Darnold’s footwork. Adam Gase and Dowell Loggains have done everything they can to hammer the need for Darnold to align his footwork with his body. He has a tendency to to align himself one way, see something somewhere else, then move his torso without resetting his feet to try to hit his target. Seldom, if ever, does this lead to an accurate pass. The Jets might get away with it — but it’s not smart.

There were several times where Darnold, despite this being a point of emphasis last season and over the offseason, went back to his old ways."

I dont think Palmer showed him how to pass when getting sacked :)

Criticizing players for playing poorly or making bad mistakes isn't worthy of a ban, temp or otherwise, regardless of if we like the opinion or not.

Josh deserves flack for that pass (and some other misses), but deserves all the praise in the world for the others he made. That's just par for the course being an NFL QB.

The problem is be the little bit critical and Joe attacks you as if you are not allowed to talk about the fumbles or missed throws.
